I've been here twice and my first experience was good up until the part where one of the technicians lightly kicked my chair leg to tell me to get up because she was ready to wax my brows. I was just about as shocked as the person next to me and asked her, "Are you telling me to get up?" And she clearly didn't know what I was saying and walked towards the waxing room. This portion is now about today's experience. I called at 11 AM and asked if they had any availability for gel manicure at 11:45 AM. The technician said yes. I then called back at 11:40 AM while I was on my way and apologized but that I'd be closer to 11:55 and asked if they still had availability, if not, I completely understood and would come another time. The technician said, "Yeah don't worry I'll tell the other technician." I came and Marie asked me for my name and number. We couldn't find me on the list. She then said, "Why didn't you give them your name?" I stated that I did when I called the first time. She then asked, "You need to make sure they write down your name or number." And at this point she was visibly upset/annoyed. I said, "Why are you blaming the customers for something your staff should be properly trained on? How is it the customers fault that your staff didn't write down the appointment time or name?" She then closed her eyes and said, "I don't know." Then walked away. Came back a few minutes later and told me where to sit. My technician was fine. While she was taking off my previous gel manicure, a cockroach climbed up my arm and onto my hand. At that point, I was ready to leave. I asked her to just remove the nail polish, clean up my nails, and that'll be it for the day. She did so and was very nice about it. No complaints with the technician. Upon paying, Marie, then says, "Next time make sure you tell them to write your name. I don't know what happened. They're usually good about it." I work with clients on a daily basis and never do you treat them in such a manner. First of all, you don't blame customers for something they are not responsible for. As an employee, own up to the mistake, apologize, and offer the rest of the customer's time a great service. But Marie couldn't even do that. She had to end the already poor experience with another condescending tone. I will not come here again. read more

I went here due to the other reviews and was highly disappointed. Where do I start? Well, to let these lovely ladies know, I was born in Vietnam and am fluent in Viernamese, so please don't tell me that I misunderstood or heard wrong. First, I came in and they weren't the friendliest. No smile or hello, just a straight up "What do you want?" Ok, cool, whatever, maybe their service will make up for their lack of etiquette. I got Susan and it started off great, she got me on a pedicure chair and started my pedicure. I had originally wanted to come in for an SNS manicure and regular pedicure. Susan finished my pedicure and I was moved to manicure table. This is where things begin to go downhill pretty fast. I told her that I had decided to do a regular manicure instead, with fake tips on four of my fingers since the nails had broken off from playing sports. She cut too far back on my cuticles which resulted in me bleeding. She then did a horrible job with laying the acrylic powder on them (it was uneven), and did not know how to shape them so that they were of similar shape to the other hand. I kept having to tell her that they needed to be filed down more and that one hand was way longer than the other hand. She then complained to the other techs that I was difficult to service and it was taking too long to finish my nails. Excuse me? I changed my mind ONCE from SNS to a regular manicure and you decide that I was being difficult? Thuy came and tried to fix whatever Susan had done. She told her that the acrylic was not done correctly, that the shape was way off, and that she did a bad job in taking off my previous nail color. Susan decided that this would be a great time to make fun of my nails, going as far as saying that one was curved so much that it looked like a bird's beak, and that I was being such a difficult person to service. After Susan had applied the nail polish, she kept going around and asking the other techs, "How much should I charge her?" What? You're telling me that you don't have a set pricing for services and that you just charge people based on how you feel?? It seemed like all the other techs were also debating on whether they should charge me $5 extra or $10 for this and that. In the end, I had come in at 1:20 PM and had left at 4 PM. It sucked. They lack etiquette and lack experience/training. I was so disappointed because it seemed like they've done such nice sets on others from the reviews but mine was done so sloppily and half heartedly. Didn't help that I was being complained about for wanting to switch from one service to another and then also being judged. read more

Agree with the many positive reviews here. Super easy to make an on line appointment. Waited about ten minutes after the reservation start time but another nail technician set me up in an A plus massage chair so the wait wasn't a problem at all. I've been to many salons both local and in FL. This one outshines them all. Covid protocols are excellent. Yes the receptionist isn't very welcoming, but that didn't really detract from the great vibe. Lily was professional, warm, gave me a great pedicure. I hadn't been since before Christmas so it was a welcome break. I'll be back. Make this your go to nail salon. You won't be disappointed. read more

Wow. Loc at VIP nails is talented period. The way he brought what I imagined to life was incredible. He took his time with the manicure and pedicure. I made my appointment at 6 and he took an hour on my toes/legs thoroughly cleaning and messaging, and an hour in my nails. He did not skip or miss anything. They close at 7-730 ish but he did not rush even though I was there until 8. I am very pleased overall, I told him my concern of how usually gel manicures only last max a week for me, and he address my concern by trying something that he said will definitely make it last past 2 weeks. I also wanted to note how clean and safe it was to be there. They checked my temperature, washed my hands with touch less faucet and soap dispenser. I wore gloves to pick the colors. The place I used to go to has a bunch of new nail techs, so I decided to just try a new nail salon altogether. I had read the reviews about getting a free bottle of lotion or a new customer discount and had hoped to get one or both. I got neither sadly. I didn't see the table with all the lotions! I was sad about not getting a parting gift or a discount, but the ladies here are very nice. Do they speak their native language around the clients? Yes. But it never really bothers me. I was able to understand them when they spoke to me, and that's all that matters anyways. I got a gel mani and regular pedi. The seats are pretty comfortable and it seems like they are overall clean and hygienic. My gel mani needed a minor fill or two before the week ended, but it wasn't bad looking or too noticeable, so I just left them the way they were. Their prices are pretty comparable to other salons in the area, so I'll likely make this my usual salon when I need to get my nails done or eyebrows waxed. read more

The salon is very clean, you wash your hands as you enter, during your pedicure you sit in a little bubble. The staff is friendly. I stubbed my toe on a chair leaving after a pedicure a few months ago - it bled and cracked my nail. They cleaned me up, bandaged it and called me the next day to check on me! I've got my nails done here a couple times and it's not bad. The real problem is I've walked out more then I've stayed. They have plenty of nail techs and stations and will tell you to pick a color and wait for 5 minutes. More often then not 5 minutes turns into 30 and you're left wondering why half of them are watching videos on their phones instead of helping customers. I've tried to call and make appointments but they won't hold them even when they confirm they can take you then. In the end you always end up waiting and it's not worth it. read more

I had to ask her to clean the lines with acetone and there are imperfections with the coating of nail polish. The most telling sign to the lack of attention was that she cut my thumb nail much shorter on one side than another. She should pay attention. I saw this at the salon but decided not to say anything. I've been going to VIP Nails for several years and the salon is always clean. I never have to wait more than a few minutes, if at all. and the staff is friendly and welcoming. They've made many improvements after Covid hit and I feel totally safe while I'm there. I always get compliments on my nails! (Pretty much what every other review says, but it's so true!) My manicures are always IG/Snapchat worthy. ;) I have been coming to this salon since June and I walk away satisfied after each visit. I usually do acrylic, topped with gel polish (lasts longer - I get refills every 3 weeks and my nails grow fast). Twee does a great job! She shapes and files my nails so that they look natural and won't look so raunchy once they start to grow out. That's why stretching out my refills to every 3 weeks isn't so bad. I will admit, this place can get pretty busy, especially after 5pm. They are pretty good, so it kinda makes sense why they have many clientele. I suggest making an appointment rather than being a walk-in. Every time I have went, they accommodated walk-in's fairly quickly (even during peak hours). Their prices are fair in my opinion, especially since my nails last a long time. I can't remember how much I was charged for a full set of acrylic, but I usually do refill + shaping + gel manicure = $45. They may take a long time while doing your nails, but you can't rush perfection! Expect your visit to be 1-1.5 hours long, depending on what you get done. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for beautiful, long-lasting manicures/pedicures.
