i didn't get the exact design i asked for on my nails or toes. she got close to remaking it but not as neat, i wanted ballerina shape and even when i describe what i wanted, i wasn't really being heard or understood so maybe there was a bit of a language barrier. ( i also felt a lil uncomfortable with the cashier peeping over my shoulder onto my phone after the appointment and then takes my card of the count and tried to tap my card for me. i am very much grown and can tap my own card and am not a bumb bitch as to where im trying to one up a nail salon im not 18 or stupid) read more

This was one of the worst nail places I've been to. I'd give it NO stars if I could. Went with a friend to get her dip done and I was going to have my gel nails removed and do a dip as my nails had grown out. The place is not well taken care of at all and the lady who did both of our nails had NO idea (as you can see from the photo) what she was doing. Seeing her lack of technique, rushing through it (they never even put her under the uv lights and put her in front a fan for a DIP!) and not understanding when we asked about why they weren't doing the proper steps made me not want to finish what I had come in for and I just had them take my gel off. In looking around the salon, all of their regular polishes were old and separated, they literally have a grapefruit sized hole in the flooring off the bathroom, and overall, it's gross and not clean looking. The health inspector needs to make a visit ASAP and make sure these people are certified to do nails because they definitely didn't know what they were doIng tonight. read more

I went to this place bc my usual nail salon couldn't accommodate me. Came out very disappointed :( There were only two people working there when I walked in. It was nice to be serviced right away but the technician did a horrible job. I was skeptical afterwards if she was even trained. I had overflown colors on nails, some dirt stuck on my hardened gel nail she could not remove anymore but tried to remove after I pointed out with a nails file which resulted in scratching the nail. The colors were applied unevenly, my nails were scratchy. Just so sad that I ended up here. Never coming back. read more

You will be pleasantly surprised. I needed a quick shellac polish change one day and decided to stop in even though it appears not as esthetically pleasing from the looks off the sidewalk. Now I am a regular if I need to go in Reston area. I hate giving 1 star reviews for small businesses but this place gave me the worst gel manicure I've ever gotten in my life. The woman didn't use fresh tools when she was doing my nails. They didn't have the first 3 colors I chose. The gel chipped after 1 day of it on and now my natural nails which were strong and long when I came into this place are chipping down to the nerve and it's so painful. I have never had this bad of a manicure before. Spare yourself from this salon. read more

The man who made our appointment was very nice. When we came back in an hour, one woman was ready for my Mom...as I picked out her nail color, she got my Mom started on her pedicure. She was very sweet. Then another customer walks in and wants a set of gels done, so the woman who's supposed to do my mani/pedi jumps up & says I'll do it (since you're not ready!...meaning me)!! I said I have an appointment & this gal just walked in...do what's right...well, she wanted to make money!! Her boss must have thrown her a look...she continued to be nasty, loud, and made everyone tense! I made a comment that was true "based on her current behavior, I did not want her working on me!" Frankly, she was scary! After some more drawer slamming and banging, she took her bag and walked out. The entire place chuckled a sigh of relief! Came to this place tonight and I have to say, they actually surprised me! My boyfriend and I were immediately greeted and asked what kind of service we needed. We both got manicures and pedicures which were by far the best we have had in a while. By all means this place is not fancy and they don't serve wine but we were offered some water and hot tea which was a plus on a cold night. Small shop with poor ventilation. I took my fiancé here and one of the women didn't realize we spoke Vietnamese and started talking trash. The other lady reminded her that we were Vietnamese. Oops. The quality of the products is poor. The lotion smelled like old feet. The cleanliness is also poor. To sum it up, if you're not Vietnamese and you hear them speaking Vietnamese, you can guarantee they're talking shit. This place is dirty and unprofessional. Find another nail salon. read more

Started coming here when Tom took over the shop - Tom is by far the best when it comes to getting a shellac manicure. I've had it last up to 3 weeks (just don't garden or move!) - but typically come every 2 weeks to change up the color. Tom does light coats so it's a clear and smooth application. I have followed Tom to this location from his previous place and have been using him since 2000. This is by far the best nail salon in reston/herndon/vienna hands down. It's family run and there are only 3 techs, but they are accomodate busy schedules (working mom). This place is a gem. read more

I've been to this salon a couple of times and am really happy with my manicures. Tom does a terrific job with both manis and pedis.

The customer service here is absolutely wonderful! In regards to how polite these ladies are, you couldn't ask for a more warm and caring bunch. The reason I gave a one, however, is because of the quality of the work it's self. I asked for SNS. The first lady I sat down with had no clue what she was doing. I asked if it was her first time, and she said yes. She continued for a short time until my nails were a mess, then I was quickly ushered over to another technician. The second tech seemed confident, stating how she had been doing nails for over 20 years. Long story short I left the salon with nails that looked like chicklet gum glued to the ends of my fingers. Before I left, I did explain that they were way too thick. I asked her to file them down. They still looked horrible. I realized that I wasn't getting anywhere. I left Nail Villa and went to another salon to have them redone. Great service, friendly people, poor skill set. I will never go back. Waste of time and money. My nails looked so bad I wanted to cry. read more
