I went to Lucy today to get a fill in. She told me that my nails were old and that I need to get a full set. She took my nails off by sliding a new nail between my real nail and the acrylic nail. Lucy told me that she doesn't soak nails off. I asked several times for her to soak the nails off after complaining about the pain. I snatched my hands from her several times. This was the most painful experience I have ever had in my life with getting my nails done. I left the nail salon with my nails in a shamble, no acrylic, no nails and in pain. I would not allow her to finish. This was not a good experience and I know why her salon is always empty. read more

Wow, is the best way to describe my experience. I haven't gotten my nails done at a salon since 2021 and this reignited my desire to get my nails done more frequently! My experience: I had made an appointment online two days in advance but when the day came, I realized I had some extra time so I emailed them if I could come in earlier than my appointment at 6pm on a Friday and they said yes, a whole hour beforehand they could see me! I was thrilled! I did still have to wait a bit before they saw me but I wasn't worried or in a rush, so no worries at all. My nails: When it came to the results of my nails, I am so happy with them! I had asked for "Full set liquid gel" (per their online listing), I then picked my neutral color in the salon, shape, and length and I received all of those things perfectly to my expectations! I am not one to give any business a bad review for no real reason, but today's experience at this salon was ridiculous. I called yesterday and made an appointment. I requested 12:00, and the person who answered the phone asked if I could come in at 11:30 instead. I arrived today at 11:34. There was only one nail technician in the salon who was already working on another customer. My tech named Lucy, so I'm assuming she was the owner, was not there. The technician there ran over to me, turned on the pedicure bath with lukewarm water, said Lucy would be there soon and ran back to her customer. I sat there for 15 minutes, and then asked when Lucy would be arriving. I understand that not everyone in those salons speaks English, but this person could not even communicate with me. So they called Lucy again, told me again she would be coming. At no point did anyone apologize, ask if there was anything they could get me, or in any way try to make me feel comfortable while I waited. By this time I had taken my feet out of the water because they'd been in it for 15 minutes. I waited for 5 more minutes and left. There were no towels around, so I walked out of the salon to go to my car with wet feet. I won't be going back. read more

*4.5/5* I took a chance on a salon from a recommendation from my husband's coworker. I went to a different salon previously that ruined my nails and upcharged me so I was looking for a new salon for pedicures. This place was a refreshing change of pace. I called 10 minutes ahead of time (I was in the area for something else) and asked if they were available for a walk-in pedicure and they were very sweet and assured me it would be perfectly fine. Upon walking in, I was asked to sanitize my hands before picking a color. I did so and gave her my color. She politely told me that the color I chose was a glitter top coat instead of a color so I chose another one. The water was already hot and ready in record time. Another client came in with an appointment and I got switched to a different technician, which was NBD to me. We joked that I hadn't had a pedicure in a long time (it wasn't in a rude way at all) and she didn't push conversation, which was a plus for me. I chose a regular pedicure but I got sugar scrub and a hot towel, which felt almost like a spa pedicure. The massaging felt really nice and they took their time doing it. They were also meticulous on cutting and prepping my nails, which I really appreciated. Everyone I met was sweet and kind. They also took my temperature and wrote it down, as well as every staff member being trained in sanitization and other items (certificates were posted). They had plexiglass in the all of the nail stations and drying area. They also complimented me on my nails when I was leaving, which was really sweet, considering I do them myself. Tip is cash only, which is usually the case with salons. They also have a rewards system using Clover! You get 1 point per dollar spent. The only reason this place isn't 5 stars for me is that they didn't shave the calluses off of my feet, but they did scrub them with the pumice pretty thoroughly. I'm not sure if that only comes with an upcharge or only with spa pedicure. My feet were better looking on my heels but I would have liked for them to be completely smooth. I also had to ask about the pricing after I was charged (I assumed it was the same on the site---it was), which I was a little miffed about. I did get my receipt texted to me after. Before going to Lucy's, I never went back to the same nail salon twice. I always felt judged and like I was paying too much for nails I was not happy with. Now, I have been to Lucy's for acrylics at least 10 times, and Lucy is so great. Throughout these times, she has hand drawn hearts on every single nail, she has dealt with my fingers bleeding without making me feel bad, and will even knock the price down at the end of the day. I have never walked away unsatisfied. She is so professional, skilled, and fast. She can recreate a photo exactly how you want and is always willing to try new things. I have struggled with biting and picking at my nails for years and getting acrylics is something that really helps me. Lucy does not bat an eye at the state of my nails when I come in. She just starts. I hope this comforts anyone who might be scared of being judged at the salon. Lucy is the only one who does acrylics, so guaranteed she will be the one doing them. If I could give a 0 star, I would. Me and my sister went to get our nails done on her birthday. The owner, Lucy, did my sisters nails. She made her sob her eyes out, on her own birthday. She was insulting her eyes, which she has a disability for, and continued to be aggressive when she could not se due to light sensitivity. Not only did she make her feel bad about herself, she was aggressively pulling her hands and slamming the bottles. She messed her nails up and blamed it on her. This was our first time going to this salon and we will never be back. My nail tech was very sweet and did an amazing job. I wish my sister could have had the same experience. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with the treatment she got for having a disability. I tried to tell someone she was being yelled at, and the owner changed the narrative. She started trying to tell me that it was because my sister's eyes burn. On top of all of that, she charged us more than she said she would and did not show us the price break down before we paid. I cannot express how much I do not recommend going here. Although the other nail techs are sweet, the experience of having my sister go through this on her birthday was not worth it. I LOVEEEE this place. I am SO picky and Mai did my nails and they were literally perfect. Lucy was also very friendly! I will def be back. On a side note, there was another woman in the salon, really loud obnoxious voice, went on this nasty Anti-Trump rant for some unknown reason out of left field, hitting all those buzz words - nazi, racist, sexist blah blah blah. I love LUCY! I've probably know Lucy for 20 years. She is a good businesswoman and manicurist. I also love both Mai and Jen that work with Lucy. I go there regularly, and never ask for a specific person. They are all excellent to me. It turns out Mai does my nails more, but Jen is also excellent. They always make me feel relaxed and beautiful when I leave. I love the new privacy dividers between the pedicure stations. They were added after Covid hit, and are easily moved around for groups of two or more. Lucy takes Covid seriously, and makes every effort to make her space a safe place! read more

Never coming back here. They don't clean their dam tools. I had a pedicure here before and I started having like yellowish "dry skin" under my foot and my nails were breaking apart and super weak. At first I thought it was just dry skin and I put lotion several times, days passed and it was still there. Went to the podiatrist and he said I have fungus, and he is also doing a test on my nails cause he thinks I also fungus (Cut my nail for testing) since It was all messed up, he asked me if I had pedicure within the last weeks and I said yes. Apparently nail salons here have a bad reputation of not being clean with their stuff. I have never had this happened before, I'm super disappointed and I'm new to the area. I can't believe this even happened to me. Never coming back again. I don't even want an apology or any type of service for forgiveness. The best nail salon in the area!!! I have been going to Lucy for over 10 years and she is the best. I've recently started allowing her other nail technicians to do my nails as well.
