The nail tech applied new acrylic over lifted acrylic which is a serious health risk and a breach of proper nail sanitation. The Lifted product creates a space that traps dirt and moisture, which leads to bacterial growth and, if filled over, seals in that infection. Look at my photos!!! Unacceptable!! I stopped going because this happened once before. It had been over a year, decided to come back and give them another chance. Never coming back! read more

Customer service is not very good. I Did powder dip manicure twice nails with Salina and they started to peel off within hours. I went back to get them fixed and she was very rude about re-doing my nails. I came in today for a pedicure with Nina, even though I had an appointment they kept me waiting without acknowledging me, so I walked out. read more

I've been coming here for the last few months for mostly mani/pedi's but recently went in to get a full set. I was super happy with my nails and I'm super picky (see my other reviews on nail salons lol). The girl that did my nails is named Mai and she is so freaking meticulous and makes sure everything is perfect. Honestly it drove me a little nuts because i just wanted to get out of there but I got my Ombré nails and they were perfect. Recently I went in for a fill and since it was Ombré they had to actually remove the nails and start from scratch but again, I got amazing results! I would highly recommend! read more

They were pretty unprofessional. We called and asked if we could come in at a certain time for multiple procedures and they said they could still take us and accommodate. However, whenever we got there, they said they could no longer take us. We drove all the way here for nothing. They are just looking to rush out and do not care about customers. They also ask that everyone arrive before 6:30 even though they close only at 8pm. They told another lady to come another day too. They don't seem to care about losing customers either. Do not recommend. read more

I've been here a few times and Mai is my favorite! She is super meticulous and thorough. My only complaint is it takes so long for a fill but like I said, she's meticulous! And my nails always look amazing. I've had pedicures from others there and it's always been pretty good. read more

Love this nail salon! Everyone is knowledgeable and experienced. Mai is my favorite but they all have their loyal clientele because they are fabulous. The ambience is relaxing, too, as a spa should be. I highly recommend NV Nails. read more

I was in the area one morning and needed a manicure really bad. They open early at 10am and took me as a walk-in right away. They guy who helped me was so sweet and he took his time doing my gel manicure. The yellow color i wanted was really light but he put on extra coats to make sure it popped once he was done. They're being very careful with covid by having a plastic barrier between you and them, everyone has a mask on, and it really made me feel comfortable. Don't pass up on this nail salon. Its probably just what you need. read more

I have been to this salon many times. I would say 4/5 stars. I recently got a hot stone pedicure ($65) and gel with nail design ($45). I thought I would get a little more with the hot stone pedicure and I thought the massage with the expensive pedicure but it was all very nice. I would go again. read more

Sooo...I'm updating my review to from 4 Stars down to 2 Stars. First of all, when I booked an appointment back in June, I sent the salon a message via the Yelp Appointment Request button and promptly received a reply to confirm a same day appointment later that afternoon. I tried to book another appointment on August 5 at 10:36 AM using the Yelp Appointment Button (the exact same way I booked my previous appointment) and was confused when I never heard back. At the time, their page claimed the business responded in approximately 40 min and had 100% response rate. I sent a follow-up message the next day, August 6 at 7:26 AM and again, didn't hear back. I FINALLY received a reply on August 7 at 10:09 AM (2 days after my original appointment request) and was told to call the shop to schedule. If someone took the time to reply to my Yelp message, why in the world wouldn't they have confirmed my request or suggested another time slot if the one I wanted wasn't available?? Now their page claims they respond in 11 hours with only an 80% response rate - WOMP! I have since found a much better nail salon with top notch service when it comes to scheduling appointments. If you don't want customers to message your business to schedule appointments, don't make that option available (if that is even possible on Yelp, IDK)... But honestly, we live in a digital age where many businesses allow you to make appointments online because it's easy and convenient. Oh well, you have lost my business and I won't be back here anymore. read more

I felt bad to leave a 1 start here. But please take it for staff improvement area. I was a return customer intend to do the gel manicure yesterday but the nail tech took the process so long (almost 1 hour) to do the mani. I ended up having only manicure only and they extra charge for another 5$. My nail is not clean. still have old stain for the last gel. Now I am celebrating my "not good looking" nail for the holiday season read more

Friendly, clean, and honest shop. I called twice and had great interaction both times. The first time I called, the gentleman that answered the phone informed me that my appointment qualified for 10% off. We had a group of 8 people needing various services and we would need to just pay on the same card. I called a second time to see if we could pay cash and the lady said cash was fine. 3 people finished before the others so they paid and left. When I went up to pay they forgot to apply 10% off as they wanted us to pay altogether (my bad on that). They honored the discount, and I appreciated that they gave me cash to give to my friends that had already left. I had a regular pedi and gel mani done by Mai. She was quick, friendly and did a great job. Two weeks later and my nails still look great! One of my friends had a chip nail after two days, but they welcomed her back to fix that one nail at no extra charge. Bonus: They passed out cookies and gave me plastic wine glasses for the wine I asked to drink during our service. Highly recommend if you are out in this area. read more

Neighborhood nail spa - fairly clean and on time - just be sure to make an appt before!

I've been coming here for years and honestly today will be the last time. I came in for a gel manicure and I picked my color. When the gel was applied it looked nothing like the sample I selected. When I said I was unhappy with the color because it was see through after 3 coats they refused to do anything. They put another coat on and it was still see through. I asked if there was anything they could do because I didn't want to see my nail underneath and they proceeded to put a top coat on and rush me out. My nails look nothing like the solid color I picked and I can still see my natural white tips underneath. These were supposed to be my birthday nails and they look absolutely hideous. read more

I have always been happy with them though this last time was awful. Poor manicure with chipping in 2 days and streaky show through. Also odd that I when I gave Salina the cash tip there was no thank you whatsoever. Odd. I called them 2 days later to ask for a re-do --no call back and when I came in 4 days later the owner was very rude saying this is how regular manicures go (I used to get gel there) so maybe they were upset I switched out of gel? She started speaking in her language about me to another worker and I just walked out. So sad because I have been so happy with them. read more

My husband and I came and we had Moon and Cindy help us, they were great! The ambience is super relaxing, elegant, and classy. This review is service related. There were three ladies available with one customer who walked in at the same time I did. I wanted to have gel polish removed, that's it. A one star review - IMO- is reserved for uncleanly, unprofessional salons. This salon is not that; however, there are some real management and customer service concerns. Walk-ins are virtually impossible here, as there aren't enough staff to accommodate a busy Saturday or Sunday. There are a ton of new techs all the time...who do sub-par work and try to move you so fast through the process that you (the client) actually feels anxiety. You can actually hear the woman owner yelling at her employees to work faster. It's really uncomfortable. I recently got some semblance of a "dip" that was legitimately awful. The top coat the tech put on was lumpy and dried horribly. She never even hardened it with the UV light to dry it, before moving to the pedicure bowl and starting another client. My oh my what a bad holiday manicure. I will not be going back and I'd urge others to look just across the parking lot into the newer shopping center where a fine establishment newly exists. read more

Never Again! I've been to this salon a few times now and boy did I want this to be my go to nail salon since it's so close to my home but this last appointment was the last straw. I went for a gel polish no manicure since I had just had a regular manicure elsewhere but my polish(non gel just regular) had chipped off and I was headed to a party the next day. Again just polish no manicure. I sat down and a guy started to buff and shape my nails and then proceeds to use his thumb nail to push my cuticles back. Not a cuticle pusher his nasty thumb nail. Wtf? In this Covid era the sanitation of this technician and place was shocking. He finally does a meh gel polishing on my nails and charge me $30, just $10 less than a full gel manicure. $30 for that unsanitary service. I paid and got the hell out of there as fast as I could. On one of my previous appointments I got a pedicure only and the technician talked on the damn phone during most of my service. The most un relaxing pedicure I've ever had. One thing you will notice is that they seem to never wipe down or dust their nail stations which tells me we have a cleaning and sanitation problem. Layers of white dust on table lamps and furniture. They really need to practice better safety protocols, sanitize everything, clear the dust and send their technicians to customer service and proper nail sanitation training. Have they learned nothing from this pandemic? They really need to better clean and sanitize. I'm so disappointed. read more

I really enjoy NV Nails & Spa located in the East Gate shopping center on route 50 ( Harris Teeter & Starbucks). It's conveniently located for Chantilly, Aldie, South Riding, Brambleton, and Leesburg areas. The salon is clean, offers friendly staff and everything you need for your nails, toes, waxing, and more. Tracy is the best with pink & white powder and gel manicures. I've had acrylic nails for over 20 years now and seen lots of manicurists in several salons, but she's great best. I've been with her now over 6 years and I followed her to NV Nails. I'm thrilled she made the move. The last salon was not as comfortable and did not offer as many services. So if you're looking for a salon, please try NV Nails and Tracy. read more

Today was my last day before moving back to MS and I desperately needed my nails, toenails, and eyelashes done. After looking at a couple of reviews, I decided to give this nail salon a visit and I definitely see why there are great reviews for this place. I had an 11am appointment and they had Moon waiting to check me in promptly and get started with my lashes. I selected the Mink eyelashes and she did a great job. They look so natural and make me look more awake without having to put any makeup on. I then had a relaxing pedicure and she also did my full set gel. I kept going back and forth on the design and colors, but Moon was so patient and did not think twice about changing something if I didn't like how it looked. I am so happy with the way my nails turned out because it's difficult to find someone who doesn't make gel nails "clunky" sometimes. They're thin, but durable- just the way I like them. It was a pleasure stopping by before my move back and I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again! read more

Moon did a fantastic job! I called and went to multiple nail salons in order to get these specific nails and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted. For a fill in was only 35 + $10 for ombré and $5 for shaping which I think is pretty reasonable. She was hyper focused and really perfected the shape. Most nail techs when I ask for stiletto give me a more rounded off almond shape but these are pretty sharp which i like. I also got a basic pedicure for $30. The massage chairs are really nice and comfortable and the tools they used were very clean. The store was also very nice! i'd never been to a salon like that. The employees are also very respectful and willing to help. Will definitely be coming back :) read more

Best nail salon I've been to!! Super nice staff: very attentive and willing to give you anything. Kevin is my go to technician, however, I have had many others and they are all amazing at what they do. If you ever break a nail or one chipped, they always do for free. So many different options that you can do and they always turn out so beautiful. Pictures are from my senior prom where I went to Kevin and he did an ombré dip with a glitter accent nail.
