I have been going to Selena for my manicures for a few months now and she does the BEST JOB. I LOVE a fun manicure and we've gotten to a point where I tell her "I'm thinking these vibes" and then she creates a masterpiece. Case in point, the photo attached. I went in on Saturday and said "I want springy and pretty, pastels with a floral of some variety, or we could do something with some chrome or sparkle" and she created THIS MASTERPIECE HELLO. COULD THEY BE ANY PRETTIER? NO, THEY COULD NOT. I've gotten pedicures there a few times from James (usually, have had a few others), always fantastic. My feet are a MESS but they always look great when done. Overall this salon is a small little hole in the wall that delivers SUPER AMAZING manis and pedis at a ridiculously reasonable price. Make sure to request your nail tech though because sometimes it's a hit or miss depending on who is doing your nails. The first time visiting (back in August), there was a little bit of miscommunication between the front desk and I about what service I requested when I went in during the week. It was a little hard to communicate, and I felt a little rushed to make a decision about my nail color. However, they have multiple comprehensive books with examples to help visualize gel or dip options. I was ambivalent about the quality of my nails this experience because of the price and kindness of my nail tech were relatively positive. In October, my sister and I had a great experience! The vibe inside is very serene and inviting. The decorations are cute, the options for gel and acrylics were laid out well, and the chairs and stations are very sanitary. Le (my nail tech) was very meticulous and careful with my nails. I let her know it was my first time getting acrylics for my birthday (but I had gotten many manicures before) and she made sure to check in with me about whether or not I liked them before moving onto next steps. She was also a great conversationalist with a great heart! My sister's nail tech in October was also super nice and accommodating as well. Her design was a little more intricate and was executed nicely. In December, both my sister and I's experience was not one I would recommend. Granted, it was a little busier; however, I called and made an appointment a week in advance. We both came in with Christmas inspiration pictures with simpler designs and specifics, which were not executed well. I asked for a more matte red with a silver ring finger nail (like the picture) with a square shape and was once again rushed to sit in a chair instead of being able to look for the color I wanted. I asked for help and the nail tech brought me a couple of options. She showed me a few that weren't close to what I was looking for, but, honestly, most of the polishes on display looked old and sticky, so I picked a red that wasn't really what I wanted. I also asked for a sparkly silver (and showed her the picture) and she initially brought out a silver with gold iridescent sparkles instead of silver iridescent sparkles (and was clumpy). I asked if there was another option and she showed me one that had silver chunky sparkles, which I liked (but didn't realize was just a top coat since she didn't show me on my nails). The manicure itself was okay, she did a clean job with my cuticles and buffed my nails. However, she filed my nails unevenly and the water to soak my nails in was very cold. My sister also had a similar experience where her nail tech didn't execute the color or shape well on her acrylics. She got nail glue on the side of her nails and her acrylics were crooked as well. Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming here on a Saturday or over the weekend when the place is busier, but I would recommend going during the week and with a nail tech with good reviews. The prices here are relatively reasonable and the environment is very sanitary and clean.

While removing my old tips, he hurt me multiple times because he was working so quickly and aggressively. When I politely asked him to slow down and be more gentle, he became upset and told me that I should go somewhere else. At that point, my nails were only half done, and it was clear that he wanted me to leave rather than address my concerns. In addition, the nail polish color samples do not accurately match the actual polish colors. When I asked about the difference, I was simply told, "That's the way it is." The salon also has a very limited selection of nail polish colors compared to other salons. The biggest issue, however, was John's attitude and behavior. A customer should never feel rushed, dismissed, or physically uncomfortable during a service. Instead of listening to my concerns, he became defensive and rude. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon.

My sister's tech definitely took her time to make sure my sister liked her nails, but mine left a few times in the middle of my nails to set up one of her regulars. Overall, it was a good experience though and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of our nails. They are a venmo/zelle business though, so be prepared since they don't take tap to pay. After awhile the quality and service of this salon has significantly gone downhill. The owner, Christy, is the main problem. She has inconsistent pricing, shady business practices, poor technique, and an awful attitude. I have never met anyone in my life to be so aggressive for literally no reason. A scenario that caused me to stop going to Herndon nail spa: 1. I consistently got Dip powder for years until my main technician rage quite (per Christy). The other technicians were unable to get the same lasting quality that my OG technician could do so I decided to start doing acrylic nails. Christy started doing my nails going forward due to the other techs not being trained. The website listed the cost as $45 which I always budgeted for. Christy insists that customers pay via Venmo and "never" put anything related to nails on the payment notes (she clearly is trying to evade taxes). Ok, fine, I pay via Venmo because I don't want to get yelled at on a Saturday morning. I purposely only have the $45 + 25% tip on my Venmo as my account has gotten hacked before, so I only have the amount needed per appt in my Venmo account. For whatever reason, the last 3-4 times I went to see Christy the price of the nails increased by $5-$10 then $12 then doubled. According to Christy it was because of the "shape" note, the shape was an inconsistent squoval shape. Nor did I ask for a special shape so I am unsure why she felt the need to do a "special" shape in the first place. Not that it looked nice either way. During the visit where I paid a mysterious, extra $10, Christy felt the need to openly mock customers for "only tipping $2" and for being "stingy". I was genuinely flabbergasted as I believe service workers deserve quadruple what they are paid. I have worked as a service worker for the better half of a decade so I know what it can be like. Fast forward to the end of the appointment, Christy was notably louder indicating the cost of the service. I turned around to her and said "oh the cost went up? Its $55 now?" and she responded with "no, the shape". Again, the shape was squoval and I specifically asked for a basic non-labor-intensive shape lol. Ok, I venomed and left, realizing after the fact, that I was the one she was mocking about the $2 tip! I was genuinely horrified lol! She must have felt that I stiffed her the previous appt when, in reality, I intended to tip 25% but ended tipping significantly less since apparently the cost was $10+ more than listed on my appointment booking and I genuinely do not recall her telling me the price increase. She increased the cost of the service for literally no reason other than greed and again without my knowledge. But what is most astonishing is that she felt comfortable enough to openly mock her customer(s), who had been coming to her for YEARS, to her face, in front of a "full house" on a Saturday morning. Again, she insists on customers paying via Venmo and gets enraged when people try to tip on card because she doesn't want to pay taxes on it. So again, I am already going out of my way to accommodate her. If she would just allow customers to pay via card and provided a receipt, there would be significantly less confusion. Ultimately, if you want cheap but decent-looking nails this is your place. You will most likely have at least 2 cuticles ripped but your nails will look nice and last at least 2 weeks which can honestly be hard to find. If you care more about ethical business practices and transparent pricing, I do not recommend this place one bit. I am a strong-willed person and even I felt uncomfortable in Christy's presence. Color, shape, size, or anything in between, you will not be treated with respect at this establishment.
