Slowest service with minimal attention to detail. Took more than 30 minutes to remove my gel and I had to point out spots where it was still on my nails. I have NEVER walked out of a place like this before, but unfortunately, the guy that started doing my nails had NO clue how to do nails. He didn't know how to file my nails so he literally butchered them!! OMG he ruined my natural nails. So he stoped and said he was sorry and then he called someone else to finish the job. Perfect place to go if you want to have to pay for another manicure tomorrow! I got this manicure 5 hours ago and all I have done the past 5 hours is sit at my desk and type. It already has little nicks and chips on 4 nails. Not to mention that when I got the manicure she did a sloppy job with cuticle removal (you can see in the photos I attached where my thumb and several fingers still have a cuticle) leaving tons of cuticle and clipping at my skin which was painful. Please also note the shape. 4 times I asked for a "round" shape. She asked if I wanted round or square and I said round. She filed a little and asked me to check. The shape was square, MAYBE "squoval", and I reiterated that I wanted them round and she filed a little more and had me check. This happened FOUR TIMES before I was fed up and said it was fine so my nail appointment didn't take 2 hours. And finally the actual paint job is rough. I've done a better job than this for application and if you are sloppy at least clean it up before sending me out! I got this manicure for a wedding and frankly it's embarrassing. I would have been better off doing them myself which is ridiculous after going to a professional salon. 0/10 will definitely not be coming back and will stick to the place I normally go to around the corner. read more

Strike two at the second nail place today. Dream Nails Lounge manager greeted me warmly and asked how she could help me. I found her to be more energetic than Ms. Saigon. The manager (we will call) Ms. Devonshire showed me to the waxing room which was nice. I saw 3 sections that held wax in the waxing pits along a wall. On the right side I saw a mirror that could help the esthetician see what she was doing; however, I feel it was more fie the guest to see themselves. A younger lady (we will call) chica tímida came in a few seconds later. Informing her what I would like, because I got the feeling she didn't know much English, showed her with my hands. Chica Tímida immediately turned around and spoke to her boss in Vitnamese (i think). Ms. Devonshire return and informed me that Chica Tímida is a shy girl and doesn't waxing lower male anatomy. She can do arms, legs, and back, but not the butt. Ms. Devonshire also informed me that there is another woman who has no problem waxing male or female but she isn't there today... This is a serious problem with nail places mainly catering to women only. Went here for a regular french manicure. The technician did a great job on the actual shaping of the tips (the white part) and in the end I was confused when the final topcoat he put on was still extremely thin and very matte. Usually I get a very thick, shiny coat for the end which is what makes it last All it took was one shower and all of it started peeling off. When I went back in, which was less than 24 hours later, the person at the front desk was very nice about it, but I had to argue a bit with the actual technicians who had to fix it. ALL the nails needed to be redone but they redid 7. And it was done exactly the same way again and they were confused why it peeled to begin with (!!) The second time also peeled off right away after one shower. Normally I am very forgiving and understanding of services and when you're doing nails every day, you know very well that what's going to make a persons manicure last or not. There is so much nonsense to deal with at nails salons, I would rather go to a high end salon or just use glue ons honestly. This chip is only one week after I got a fill and have since been back TWICE to get it fixed. Nancy continues to tell me it's my fault. Excuse me? The reason I pay more for gel nail polish is for its longevity so it shouldn't chip four days after. She continues to tell me it's my fault and how I am the only one who has problems. She kept insinuating that I'm doing this on purpose, like I have nothing better to do than go to the nail salon 3 times in a week. I came in as a walk in. On two women in the salon. One was already doing a customer's nails. There was a much older woman who asked what I wanted. I explained my grandson was getting married that weekend and would like my nails done. I figured I'd get a manicure and then she'd start to jazz up my nails. I explained my dress was gold. She pulled a muted gold color off the nail polish shelf and had me sit in the chair. She didn't file my nails nor trim my cuticles- nothing. She then applied gel solution, put me under the lights and painted my nails 3-4 times in succession. Again, doing nothing to shape my nails, clip my jagged cuticles or make them look better. I paid $35 plus tip because I felt sorry for a old woman, who I felt was there to make some extra money for herself. I came home and clipped back my own cuticles and pulled the gell solution out of the sides of my nail beds attempting to make the nail job look better I had paid $35.00 for. I could have paid $35.00 plus tip and gotten a professional looking nail job elsewhere. DREAM NAILS Is NOT the place to get your nails done , especially for a important occasion and walk out excited about how your nails look! I'll go somewhere else to get them redone for the evening wedding on Saturday. read more

I had a recommendation from a coworker for this place and I wanted so bad to love it. I went here twice, the first time because it was so awful but I sat in the chair for 2+ hours for a dip manicure. Kim was my technician and she only put powder on half of my nail and covered the other half with clear top coat. It was awful and thick and she didn't paint close to my cuticle so it looked like I had a weeks worth of growth on a fresh mani. Sabrina tried to fix it but ultimately it still looked awful but honestly I couldn't bare to sit any longer especially when the person next to me had the same thing done and was in and out in 45 mins. Sabrina said I could come back and have them redone another day and would do them for free which was nice. However, I had them done yesterday and my nails are already peeling away from my SNS. I was disappointed the older gentleman who did my nails was not careful he cut my finger while filing my nails didn't apologize and didn't offer to put anything to stop the bleeding he continued on. Filed my new set nails all wrong. When I asked to put silver glitter on my white tips he and the lady reacted and started talking back and forth about it. I really love this salon! Before coming here, I went to a salon nearby, but their service was getting so poor, I decided to give Dream Nails a shot. I'm SO glad I did! The surroundings here are lovely--peaceful and serene. Dream Nails is so much more than your normal nail salon; it truly is a spa. I also recently moved to the Sterling area and was looking for an experienced technician that could properly do pink and white gel nails. Many nails techs don't know how to do them and many refuse to learn. To my surprise, I found Dream! The store was clean and quiet and beautifully decorated. Asked for hotter water four times and watched her top it off 1/4in each time because my artist didn't want to empty and re-fill the tub. After the third request I was outright ignored. After she sliced my cuticle with her first set of tools, I asked for my nails to be cut a bit shorter twice, she filed down one single nail each time I asked and left the rest the same length, trying keep me from looking each time. I asked three different ways and finally gave up. Was charged full price for a half done job where I didn't even get polish put on. I went to Dreams on a Sunday, hoping they could redo the horrendous gel polish job done by another salon the day before. They were very understanding and did a very nice job removing the existing polish and putting on new gel. During the process, they checked several times to ensure that i was getting what I wanted. The store is only a few months old; hence the facilities are quite nice and relaxing. The sounds of the small fountain are soothing, and there's a separate alcove for pedicures that has a TV screen with a wood fire burning on it. There's also a TV in the main room with the sound off but closed caption on. The cost at $35 was $5 more than other places I've been to, but the experience was nice, and they did a good job on my nails. 2/9/17 Update- I've revised my rating from a 4 to a 5, as it's almost been 2 weeks, and my nails still look great. Usually by now I have a couple of places that need a little filing, but not in this case. I definitely plan to return. read more

Took my daughter for her first ever mani/pedi for her birthday. The salon was not busy but clearly understaffed for the small amount of clients that they had. For me, this was the worst pedi I may have ever had. My tech left in the middle of my pedi 3 separate times. And didn't give a any sort of foot massage. She just rubbed up & down my shin for about 3 minutes and even that wasn't equal on both legs. I had a small rug/mat burn on the top of my foot and she didn't acknowledge it or even try to avoid it. And I was never offered anything other the basic pedi. I was highly disappointed and won't be back. The only reason I give 2 stars is because of the hospitality and kindness shown to my daughter. I made it clear it was her first salon visit and her tech made her feel special and pampered. My daughter (8) left very happy so I consider that a success. The salon is clean and modern. It's very small and nothing special. If you are looking to be pampered at all, this is not the place. Just a generic nail salon. Nothing lush or posh about it. read more

The ends started chipping a few days later and it looks like I already need to get my nails done and it hasn't even been over a week. It doesn't even look like gel polish! So this is my new nail salon and I'm happy with quite a few things about it! The location is on my way home from work. The drinks, including yummy moscato, are complimentary and served in a glass! The selection of colors is fabulous and there are a lot of options! The decor is beautiful and eye catching. The tv area is great to catch up on one of my favorite channels ( it's usually tuned to Food Network). The staff is pretty nice and appointments are easy to make by phone. The reason why I'm not able to give 5 stars is because I feel like there is some disorganization. Twice when I've had appointments it seems like I've had to be shuffled to a random person or wait awhile -and that's kind of disappointing. I also had my nails done by Ben- and my gel manicure barely lasted a week! I was so shocked and almost didn't return. Updating my review after several less than great experiences. I love the look of this nail salon and Ben and Vivian are so friendly. However, when paying $$$$ at a nail salon I really expect great service and to be pampered. My visits here have become a hit and miss. My friend and I had appts for pedicures together and they started her toes 30 mins before mine. On top of that, I made an appt with Ben because I appreciate his attention to detail. Well, someone else started my pedicure and I eventually asked for Ben and he took over. My next visit, my MIL and I had appts for manicures. Again, I made an appt with Ben and again someone else started my manicure. She was rushed... the kind of manicure where you tense up in anticipation of being cut. I didn't say anything about Ben not doing my manicure as requested, but someone else sat down and finished my nails! So 2 different people did my nails, no explanation. Suggestion: (1) pay attention to who people are making appts with and (2) customers make appts to get nails done together, please accommodate this request! read more
