I have to start off by saying I really do hate to complain and have never left a bad review but I am very upset right now. For the past years, I have down my own gel pedicure to in order to save money. In March, I was in a bit of a rush before a cycling class and decided to get my nails down here at Platinum and besides me rushing I had a great experience and wanted to come back. I decided to get my birthday pedicure here yesterday with my daughter. We scheduled an appointment an hour before closing. Which i believe was a mistake. Our pedicures didnt even last 40 mins and just felt rushed. Didnt even get asked what type of pedicure we wanted. While the technician was nice, I didnt notice the job she had done until i was home. In the first two pictures, you can see the excess of polish that was just left there. When doing gel, you have to be very careful in wiping off the excess because once it goes under the light, its hard to remove. As you can see, this is horrible. I dont even leave my toenails like this painting them with my left hand. I went back about an hour ago to get it "fixed". The same technician was assigned to me. She literally just brought the drill and drilled off the excess on my skin and barely even filed on top and just painted over it. It basically looks the same and just horrible. On one foot, she cut me with the drill of how hard she was drilling close and on my skin. This is so unacceptable. I came out of there probably worse. I should have just gone elsewhere to get it fixed. But now my birthday toenails look busted and in pain due to the cut. I honestly felt like they were really going to fix it but they really don't care. Should have requested a refund but I am concious that times are tough. Spending $56 on an atrocious pedicure and wasting my time twice is definitely not making me come back. Wish the management would have followed up and amended the situation. read more

Today I went a to get pedicure and Ann gave it to me. She was OK, but hardly spent any time going through each step. She rushed through it all. There were other customers who came before me, who were still seated when she was done and gone! They had the same pedicure as I did, nothing extra. She spent no time on massaging my legs or leaving the warm gel on my feet. Everything was rushed! Then she left me in the chair to let my nails dry and didn't return for a very long time. I had to get someone else to go find her. The only time she smiled and was pleasant was when it was time for me to tip her. I did do that, but will ask that she not give me a pedicure next time. Was not impressed by the services offered here. I was cut multiple times. Everything was uneven and the nail lady (Jackie) even said "it's uneven because it's short nails". I have gotten short French tip for years. That's not an excuse for them to be uneven. I felt extremely rushed. My pedicure was fine except I didn't get an option to pick out what kind of pedicure I want but the person next be did have a choice. The only issue we had was that the signage says that tips are preferred in cash, but then when we went to pay they wouldn't allow my fiend to tip on her card (and she had been allowed to during previous visits). I had an appointment with Tina today for a pedicure. She is so sweet, however I'm not for sure she is licensed. She struggled with cutting my cuticles and doesn't know how to file toe nails. She doesn't know how to paint as well. This may be the second worst pedicure I've had in my 48 year old life. I think it's of bad character to have someone without the appropriate training & credentials doing nails. Please do better!!! read more

I absolutely love my nails! The salon is very clean and the staff is super friendly. They even offer drinks and fresh fruit to snack on. The receptionist was also super helpful and knowledgeable about the different services and helped me decide what would work best for me as I don't get my nails done often. I got exactly what I asked for and Julie was very gentle when doing my nails (I normally hate the drilling/filing part). The prices are also very reasonable and transparent - they don't try to hit you with hidden fees. I've paid close to $100 at other salons for way lower quality. Ann did a fenomenal job with me today. I got my acrylics removed and a deluxe manicure and pedicure. She offered me a snack and a drink. I got gel polish on my feet and originally I had picked a shear nude color that would be too light on my toes so she suggested a slightly darker one that would look better and I really appreciated that. On my fingers I just wanted a clean up because my nails were so damaged from having acrylics for so long and she offered to put clear polish on. my friend and i were in the area looking for a nail place that was taking walk-ins. she wanted a pedicure and i was looking for a full set of acrylics. the gentleman who greeted us and checked us in was extremely kind, he immediately offered us a place to sit and something to drink. A full set was only $35 without gel so I was very interested and I was impressed when I sat down to see they have tablets at the nail stations so you can watch netflix while getting your nails done. Here's where the 4 star review as oppose to 5 comes in -- my nail technician was friendly but was relatively sloppy when doing my nails. the grinder was sort of all over the place and she ended up getting my skin a few times. she actually hurt my right pinky so bad that by the end of my appointment there was a throbbing pain when she so much as touched it. Additionally, she was very pushy about the payment. It's normal, in my experience, for the nail tech to ask for payment before painting the nails as not to mess them up, but when I got up to wash my hands and came back she had taken my wallet out of my seat and put it on the desk in front of me. All in all, the customer service was good AND they took us in 20 minutes before closing which was very nice. My friend absolutely loved the lady who did her pedicure. I will for sure be back, but asking for a different nail tech. read more

This was the most unsanitary manicure i've ever gotten. I now have a very painful infection on my thumb that i'm hoping to not need to go on antibiotics for. The lady doing mine was not wearing gloves at any point and had very long fingernails that she used to push down my cuticle! her bare nails! All of the nail tools looked heavily used and not cleaned at all. Everything had pieces of previous clients nails all over it. Along with that she cut my finger with the drill and it was bleeding then proceeded to hold on the cut with her bare nail. Throughout the manicure she was hostile using her sharp nails to press down parts of my nails. Absolutely terrible and now i'm left with a bad infection. do not go here. read more

Let me first start by saying I can always get an appointment, I love the environment, water and snacks - their service goes over and above. Except for my most recent time, I got my nails filled and they are awful. The tech that took care of me kept burning my fingers and when I asked about my shape she was a bit snippy with me so I let her be. The biggest mistake I made was leaving the shop. I asked for coffin and this is what I got. I almost want to go to another shop but I want to give them one more chance. This is the best Nail Salon that I've ever known. I'm a quiet person that rarely review any places online but today I decided to give this salon 5 stars due to its fantastic customer service. I came in with my mom to get her nails done for Mother's Day and we were so surprised how clean the salon is. They take extra precaution against COVID, glass divider was used on every table and when customers have to sit next to each other, they also put a giant divider between them. I read the other review about customer getting COVID and saying that this salon didn't apply COVID safety protocols, which is not true. Every technicians wear masks and the manager was so friendly too. She offered us drink and food, the food tastes delicious and was put carefully in a glass container for every customer. I had gotten a gel polish on my feet and It was sloppy, my nails was done with dip and also has some ridges on nails, dip powder paint was also my skin and asked her to remove the harden powder, almost broke my skin with the scissor. Don't bother making an appointment. You will NOT be taken back on time. You will watch walk in appointments and even appointments that have a later time than yours be taken back before you. They will give you silly excuses as to why. One excuse being not all of their techs can do acrylic. This should be mentioned during online booking. Had a very pleasant experience here yesterday for a dip manicure and a pedicure. I did schedule an appointment in advance. My nail tech Christine and Minh were super friendly and very thorough with my nails. I would highly recommend them. Minh helped me to pick the color (which I'm very pleased now) and Christine did a great pedicure. One thing to note however is that tip is cash only and they do have an ATM for you to withdraw money. My last straw was today when I went to get my nails done and I decided to get gel instead of my usual dipping powder. They charged me $40 for the gel (fine) But then charged me an additional five dollars for removing the dipping powder because I was not replacing it and another five dollars for the French tip design.
