Unfortunately they've raised their prices and the front desk is really creepy about you going to the salon if you're not a member of the gym. I've been seeing Dana for about a year (who is awesome, and the front desk and shampoo staff are great as well), but at the latest visit I found out the salon raised their prices again, and I paid almost $250 for a basic root color and haircut (including tip). My first visit to the salon a year ago I paid $130 (including tip) for an all-over toner and haircut. I unfortunately don't think I can afford to go back again even though the service is great. Also, I am not a member of the gym the salon is located inside and, at this latest visit, I told the front desk I was going to the salon, went upstairs, then realized one of the guys from the front desk was following me. When I went to the restroom instead of directly into the salon, he asked where I was going, I told him again I was going to the salon, and he WAITED OUTSIDE the restroom for me to come out and follow me into the salon. Bizarre. I told the salon's receptionist and she was so apologetic and told her manager immediately because this is not the first issue they've had with the front desk. I booked a last minute haircut at Evolve and went in with high expectations because of all of the reviews I read. The hair cut was fine, but the overall vibe and feel of the salon wasn't my personal favorite. The staff was pretty cold, not very talkative or welcoming. I immediately was met with an upsell. Every time i spoke to my stylist I kept having to repeat myself because she just wasn't paying attention and she spoke mostly under her breath. I watched a handful of people throughout my entire haircut eat and snack at the color bar. The shampoo stations are located directly across from the nail salon station so the entire time I was getting my hair washed all I could smell is nail polish remover. The salon feels pretty crammed into the space it's in. Like I was greeted, I was also sent on my way with upsell on product without any explanation. Overall a very mid experience. read more

Went for a birthday spa day with my mom and best friend. They were very accommodating during the booking process, fitting all of us & our different services into the same time frame. Elba did a great job on my balyage & cut! And my mom and friend's hair looked amazing as well. Leeanne did an amazing job on our massages too (all 3 of them!!) She also did solid work on my mani/pedi, but I was disappointed that they didn't have dipping powder as an option. While everything else was pretty awesome, the relaxation room itself was a big letdown. It was small and poorly located in the middle of the busy salon. It also didn't help that employees were using it like a break room. My mom said someone talked on the phone in there throughout the duration of her massage, ruining the relaxation vibes. Incredibly overpriced men's haircuts. They charged me $48 for a horrible haircut. The experience started off nice. All I asked for was to make the back of my hair shorter so it evens out with my bangs. I asked the "stylist" to NOT touch my bangs and she did anyway. I had been growing my bangs out for months. Took scissors right to them. She went for a 3 trim then I asked maybe a little shorter with a small fade to blend. It went terribly wrong. The fade looks awful. She quickly took out a 1 trimmer. Of course it's always the same. Just because I'm a guy my hair doesn't matter. The stylist was rough on my head and cut as fast as she could. $48 is so unbelievably high. I was not even in the chair for 10min. So I paid $48 for a 10min bad haircut. Save your money guys and go literally anywhere else for half the price. #46/2020 Once upon a time before a pandemic by the name of COVID-19 came and interrupted our lives, my friend and I drove 3 hours from Virginia Beach to have our eyebrows microbladed by Linda. Well worth the early wake up call and each and every mile! So before I get started, I'd like to preface this by saying this review is based on my microblading experience with Linda and massage with Leanne. No other part of the salon, spa, or gym facilities were explored. Linda is best described as bubbly, down to earth, friendly, and extremely hilarious. She makes you feel very comfortable and less nervous. When it comes to her craft she is professional, thorough, patient, knowledgeable, efficient, and most of all, skillful. Mind you, I arrived with microbladed brows already but from another cosmetic tattoo artist. However, it was time for a color boost and I had no reservations letting Linda do it whatsoever. I follow her on IG and I consistently see her work keep getting better and better and better! No hesitation booking with her at all. She didn't take as long doing my brows as she did my friend because she didn't have to start from scratch. She just made them look even better and added some freshness to them. After all it had been over a year and a half. I am so in love with my brows. She knew I was extremely nervous about having them done before getting local anesthesia but she accommodated me and I'm telling you, I didn't feel a thing compared to the very first time. Also, I didn't suffer massive headaches or experienced any pain or tenderness afterwards. If you're a pansy, scardy-cat, wimp like myself, just beg and plead for that numbing cream before hand, y'all!!! LoL! She goes over aftercare with you and even sends you home with a cute little care kit before you leave. There's some Aquaphor, soft cotton pads, candy, and I think even Q-tips. If you are considering getting your eyebrows done, look no further and book with Linda! She will be more than happy to go over everything with you in detail. She also does other PMU (permanent makeup) and plasma pen for skin tightening but I'm gonna be real - I'm too chicken! Haha! While waiting for my turn to have my eyebrows done, I decided to take advantage of the available masseuses and wow! Best last minute decision ever! Leanne has a pair of magic hands! Them plus the darkened room and heated massage table, oh my gosh! I am not lying or exaggerating when I tell you I instantly fell asleep the moment she laid her hands on me. She woke up me once to turn over and another time to tell me it's all over. Sixty minutes went so fast, what was I thinking only opting for one hour!? Anyway, best massage and nap ever! This was a horrible experience. I took my daughter here to get her hair cut. The stylist looked like she was put out by having to cut my daughter's hair. Little to no verbal communication with my daughter. The shampoo lady told my daughter she was busy bc she had a whole family to take care of that was getting high lighted and hardly washed her hair. My plan was not to come on here and leave a negative review but after speaking with management I feel as though others should know my experience. I came to see a stylist here- Alyssa but unfortunately my hair turned out completely opposite of what I asked. She tried to fix it right away which didn't work so she offered to have me come back another day and management offered to fix it but as I explained to them I already spent FIVE hours in the salon the first time and away from my family and I just don't want to do that. It's also just uncomfortable to come back to a place when you are not happy. So while I appreciate them trying to remedy the situation by offering free childcare at the gym while they attempt to fix it. I don't want to waste my time, drop my kids off to strangers and also damage my hair further by toning and bleaching to get it back to what I want. So if you go here and ask to be bright blonde and show a picture and leave with your hair darker than when you went in- they will not refund you they will only offer you to come back in which in some circumstances may be a good option so kudos to them for trying to fix it... but for me I just wanted to be refunded for not getting at all what I asked for. When I explained this to them multiple times they got defensive and almost condescending which is completely unprofessional. Low rating for eyelash extensions ($185) High rating for the receptionist and nail lady. Two weeks ago I came here for the first time, for a mani and an eyelash appointment. I'm a member at the gym (TFE), so I received a discount for the nail service. Niki gave me a gel manicure, it is one of the better ones I've received in Loudoun, she took extra care to have a nice base coat and extra layers of glittery nail polish, it still looks great even after 2 weeks. Onto the disappointment: this was my first time getting my eyelashes done here. FYI, no discounts there for new visitors nor gym members, however I was sold on having the first fill free (we'll get back to this later). The application from Juliet was pretty comfortable that I fell asleep. It looked great when it was done. I followed her instructions, not getting it wet for 24 hours, and didn't use oil base makeup remover. So 4 days later I went to a performance and used eyeliner and a little bit of mascara, then at the end of the day I used Demalogica's Gentle Eye make up remover (which is oil free), and like 6 lashes fell out. That surprised me so I didn't use any eyeliner at all after that. Unfortunately the lashes keep falling out, more in certain areas than others, on day 11 I took some photos and made my refill appointment (on day 14). So apparently their first fill is only within ONE WEEK. The person who made the appointment didn't tell me, it was never made clear to me I had up to 7 days to come back. (Also I think it is so strange because online guides I researched on all said a light maintenance recommended every 3-4 weeks). Anyhow so while it was good that Juliet asked me if I'm aware that this isn't free, it would've been better not to have to waste all our time or the fill. She even started putting the protective tape on my lower eyelids too before she began so I feel bad for wasting her time, but I can't justify yet another $65 for fills every week or two! Overall, I'll very satisfied with nails experience but felt the eyelash extensions were unsatisfactory when it cost $185, and so much had fallen out. It wasn't like this when I got my first set of eyelash extensions done at another salon in Arlington. read more

Difficult to find No seating in waiting area Pedicure chair gorgeous Pedicure in full view of salon, next to hair washing station Nikki was pleasant but rough Salon clean and modern albeit rather cramped and noisy I finally had to call after traipsing up and down the street, as the salon is difficult to find. There is no business shingle, nor sandwich boards outside the doors to direct you to the salon; however, they have a discreet logo on the door of the gym. Once inside, there is no direction signage, and I missed the entrance that is tucked around the corner on the second floor. The salon sublets their space from the gym, and are not permitted to display their signs. The receptionist is friendly and welcoming, and offered me something to drink. I felt awkward standing around while the nail technician was getting ready for me, as there is no seating in the waiting area. It's right up front, so you have to shift around for people checking in and out. I loved the pedicure chair. It's one of those full-on massage little angels of heaven. The pedicure area is at the back, but still in full view of the salon, next to the hair washing area. When I go for a pedicure I want to be pampered, and at $60, I would expect to have some semblance of discretion, especially when it requires me hoiking up my skirt and spreading my legs. I said to Nikki that I was looking forward to a bit of relaxing pampering (it's been a hectic week, I'm a teacher and students are getting close to the end of school.). Nikki must have thought I needed an invigorating workout. Either she is very efficient with her time and movements and it was close to the end of her shift, or she is just rough. It was not relaxing. She did an adequate job with the polish, managing to get some of the top coat all around the edges of my toenails. She was chatty and friendly, although made me uncomfortable with a remark that it must have been awhile since I had been for a pedicure. I felt this was unnecessary, as I take good care of my feet, and they are healthy. I did notice that the filing tool for the feet had not been cleaned from the previous use. Yuk! I went to a room next to the aesthetician's for my toes to dry under a nifty machine. The chair had no back so I had to perch. Again, a minor issue, but one that adds up. I was joined there by one of the employees who sat on the sofa to eat their food. I think there are better places for a relaxing pedicure. read more

I have been going to this hair salon for many years. Unfortunately the hairstylist that I was working with Tony is no longer there. We started working with Dara who cuts my youngest son's hair! He has gotten services done from her at least five times and it has been perfect every single time! My son is always very happy with his haircut and she is incredibly friendly. I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I booked a haircut and full highlight with Mojee. I am new to Virginia and trying to find a good salon and stylist to keep up with my blonde highlights. I am naturally a brunette and have been adding blonde into my hair for years. When I got to the salon Mojee asked what I wanted and I told her I wanted my blonde highlights touched up. She then suggested also changing the color of my undertone and she showed me a picture of a clients hair she did which turned out very blonde. I thought it looked really good so I agreed to let her dye over my natural brown. Huge mistake! The color turned out very warm with a strawberry blonde/red color at my roots under the blonde highlights. She tried to fix it by adding more blonde highlights but it didn't help. Another stylist in the salon commented that my natural hair was too dark to bring it up lighter in one session, as a master stylist shouldn't Mojee know that and not suggest it to a client if not obtainable?? She also took a cigarette break while my toner was in and came back smelling like smoke which is very unprofessional at such a nice salon. Another thing that bothered me is that she pinched my cheek while trying to correct my color because she knew I was upset. Maybe she was trying to be comforting but that is very off putting! Definitely will not be back at cannot recommend this salon or Mojee. read more

I went for a spray tan today and am really disappointed in the quality of the service received. I made it clear it was my first time doing a spray tan and received virtually no information in terms of what to expect during the process and nothing about what to do/not to do afterward (Other than when I asked when I should shower)...luckily the receptionist mentioned no rubbing and asked if I had waited to dry at all before getting dressed (I did not... as the person who did the tan told me to get dressed immediately after and I followed her instructions). I can already see spots that were missed two hours after the session and I can only assume that will look worse in a few more hours. Go somewhere else. Not only did I pay to look exactly the same but I also, apparently, paid to have my hair damaged. All of this after I had a consultation a week prior, showed pictures during my appointment, and explained my expectations 3 times verbally. My hair stylist did the exact things I asked her not to do in our consultation, including put in dying chemicals I asked and the usage of excessive heat. There are splotches, stripes, and an orange color that was never asked for a blonde hair style. If the hair stylist couldn't achieve the look I wanted, the consultation was the moment to say so so I could've readjusted my expectations or found something within her realm of capabilities. The reason this received 2 stars was due to the effort put into the hair cut. I will not be coming back unless I'm bald, at least then I'll know my hair is safe. read more

From arriving to leaving, the experience was excellent. Every stylist we worked with (I took my 3 daughters for a back to school salon trip) was wonderful and did exactly what we asked. My experience was overall positive with the salon and the hairdresser, my less than 5 star rating has more to do with their gift card. I had a gift card that was over a year old. I asked the receptionist while I waited for my hairdresser to confirm that I had $66 on it, she indicated that gift cards were only good within the year of purchase. There was nothing on the gift card itself nor on the sleeve that the gift card came in. While I may be outside the norm with regards to gift card use, if there is an expiration, it should be clearly stated. So my gift card was useless...
