Friday nite late, I'm in my hotel room and realized how much I hate my hair and how it looked…read more Glass Door Salon, Noah and YELP saved me. A late night email and I woke with a response of yes, we can get you in today, Saturday. Hallelujah!!! A little juggling and we made it happen. I am now the very happy person with a great looking haircut with plans for color soon! Who knew you had to fly from Houston to get someone who knows what they are doing with hair, especially old hair that isn't long and flowey..... Noah thanks for the magic touch today!

Consultation was rushed and stylist cut off way too much hair. She kept pushing to do a shampoo,…read morebut I kept reiterating I don't want or need it, I just washed my hair this morning. $49 seems way too much for just a plain trim. All I wanted was less than 1 inch off, which has been the case for literally every other trim I've ever had in my life, and it definitely seemed like a full 3 inches was taken off. After taking off so much hair, it didn't look even, but at that point, I didn't even want them to touch my hair and take off even more. Felt like no care or attention was given whatsoever to what I actually wanted. I've been here 3 different times with 3 different stylists and every time, it's been the exact same problem. I thought it was because it was only an apprentice the first time, and then a Level 1, but this time, to shell out more money for a Level 2 stylist and somehow get an even worse cut, I'm done. It's evident that they don't care about essential services such as regular trims for healthy growth. They only seem to care about the higher spending clients who choose to damage their hair with excessive heat and chemical treatments. There's obviously no knowledge here whatsoever of what healthy hair is actually supposed to look like. If all you want is healthy growth, don't waste your time or money here. In what universe does "a trim" somehow turn into 3 inches? Other salons have always done half an inch, maybe an inch at most. Also, pushing people to get a trim every 2 months is insane. Never had an issue before with every 6 months. My hair was not at all unhealthy and my hair did NOT have a full 3 inches of split ends. Every other stylist I've had has said it's exceedingly healthy and never took off nearly that much. Please train your people to actually DISCUSS with the clients before they get right to chopping. It does say on the appointment that it's supposed to be a 15 minute consultation, but it definitely was not. The entire time, I felt rushed and dismissed. I was literally telling her how much I was looking forward to getting an elaborate braid done soon. Now, it looks way too short to do what I was planning. Did my own braid the next day and it looks and feels like months of progress have been thrown in the trash, plus it looks choppy and bad. Thanks a lot. Checked their website for details about their stylists. "Level 2 stylist" Melanie's description says: "If you need help with color correction, modern balayage, or highlights of all types, I especially look forward to working with you!" So... guess they're admitting that they only care about the higher ticket items? Maybe don't bother to "trim" people's hair, then, if all you're going to do is give them a hack job, taking off 3 inches and still not even managing to make it even. I'm genuinely not sure if she did this monstrosity of a hack job out of spite or if she's just insanely incompetent. I deeply regret ever setting foot here. What a joke. Come on down to the Glass Door Guillotine, y'all ‍

There is zero ambiance. There are no offers made for tea or coffee. There isn't much way you can feel very pampered or comfortable. My friend was with me and was made to move, I had to move my jacket for this other client and it was awkward and cramped. There is music strangely blaring into the room from the main area, instead of coming from within the suite, so that was odd. It was never explained beforehand how long this process would take, so it was awkward having to wait around 20 minutes and another 20 minutes in a place that had no magazines, tv, distractions, nothing. Mona barely smiled and didn't really make much conversation. I had come in with leg pain and she didn't seem to care at all about that. She kept bringing up a part of my hair I am embarrassed about. Another salon screwed up a section of my hair. I am used to stylists asking about it. But she constantly kept bringing it up, and it embarrassed me in front of her other client who by the way, showed up out of the blue. She had made an appointment and Mona apparently just forgot all about it. It seemed quite unprofessional. I explained that I can't afford a cut, but even after that she brought up my split ends. I can't afford fixing that so what's the point of even mentioning it? It just made me feel more self conscious Halfway through she asked if I want to make another booking. I found that a bit odd and hard sell. I made it clear I would let her know, but she asked again after I paid her. At this point I did not feel like giving a 20% tip. So I gave her far less than. I will never forget the disapproving look she gave when I gave her too small of a tip. There have been other times in my life I haven't been able to afford giving a "good" enough tip but never was I made to feel bad about it. I saved the extra 10 dollars I would have gladly given had I been happy, and I bought myself a much needed mocha. I felt I was the one who deserved a tip, after that experience. I will not be returning.

I wanted to cry and she said come next week I will fix it for you for free, but when i wanted to schedule next appointment thru text, she said I need to pay! After more than 3 months my hair is still in bad condition. I really want my money back
