Becca is the most amazing stylist I've ever met. I got bleach happy last summer (whole head just WHITE hair) and went to THREE stylists trying to get back to my natural dirty blonde and every single one gave me some variation of a deep auburn that didn't match my roots at all, and argued with me about it. After hundreds of dollars blown, Becca was the only stylist that took the time to look at my old hair pictures and talked me through lifting the red and all the possibilities of how it could turn out because she couldn't be sure what the last 3 stylists did. The woman is an angel and my hair turned out incredible. She took the time to do the most foils I've ever seen and somehow I walked out FINALLY blonde. I've gone back to her for 2 hair cuts since then and each time she takes the time to listen and ask questions so there's no miscommunication about what I want. About 10 years and 2 salon ago! I ADORE her and she is amazing. She styled my entire bridal party's hair for my wedding and my hair was AMAZING. Before my wedding, I had an appointment with her for a cut, color, and extentions. Then the day of the wedding, she came to my hotel with another one of her girls who works at Salon Vie and they did such an amazing job. She styled each girl's hair exactly how I wanted. I've NEVER had to wait for my appointment, they are always offering me coffee or water. Their location is a bit odd with the construction all around but they are SO worth it. And the woman who dried my hair took care to be thorough with every part of my thick long greying mop, and made it lay beautifully, full of volume and shine. My regular stylist is Becca, and she is an absolute doll, she will take care of you and listen to any of your needs and really makes you feel absolutely confident in her abilities (because she's great). I have been wanting to try the keratin treatment for a long time because the longer my curly hair gets, the more unruly it is. When I saw the Specialicious coupon, I went on Yelp and saw that the salon got good reviews. It isn't like others I've seen where the salon had HORRIBLE reviews. Before getting it, I talked to my stylist who I have been going to for years, and she could only do it on Mondays or Tuesdays. I am a single mother who has a full-time job, so I decided to go ahead and buy it so I could get it done on the weekend. The salon is easy to get to, and it has ample parking. I parked and went up. Autumn was really nice. She answered the 100 questions that I had, and didn't have a hint of annoyance in her voice. The keratin treatment took almost five hours, but I have long hair and it's a lot of it. She was so patient. She said that this was her favorite thing to do. While I waited, she offered me water, and even offered to go next door to get me something. I thought that was really nice of her. My hair is amazing! It's stick straight. I went to a bar that night with my friends. Usually, my hair would have already gone POOF with how hot it was in there. My hair stayed stick straight. On top of that, it's really shiny. The other thing I liked about Autumn was that she showed me my split ends. I was kind of shocked because when I go see my stylist, she always snips a little and has never shown me the amount of split ends I have. She cut my split ends to what I was comfortable with, and I made appointments for the kids and me to get haircuts in November. LOVING my hair. read more

I've been to some of the top salons in this country and used to frequent the original Paul Mitchel salon for my haircuts in LA... and I must say that this salon is equal if not better than any high end salon I've been to. During the past 5 years I've been dark black, a red head and now I'm a blonde. I was very disappointed with my second visit to Salon Vie. The first time Maddie did a cut and style. I was very pleased. It was just the style I was looking for, and I received a lot of complements. But for my second visit Maddie is now gone, and Vicki that seems to get a lot of good feedback on the board was fully booked. This time I had a highlights and a cut with Crystal. The cut was okay, although was not really what I asked for. The highlights were particularly disappointing. I requested natural looking highlights, instead they are very chunky. My first experience here was with the owner, who was very sweet, however, I feel she and her staff are not up to par with some of the advanced techniques that a salon like them should be providing. I knew right away she didn't understand the concept of balayage. A natural way of highlighting. My second appointment I had, I was called three times to push my appointment back because they got busy. The sweet lady who did my hair did not seem experienced and left blue toner in my hair. They were gracious about fixing it but again I was not left happy. Being sweet to your costumers is great but having stylists that seem to vary in experience does not bring this salon together. I was looking for a stylist to do my hair for my wedding. After reading some of the comments in here, I decided to go with them. I had the trial done with Autum two month before the wedding. I think she did a pretty good job so I went ahead and scheduled appointment for both hair and makeup for my bridal party on my wedding date. TWO days before my wedding they called me to confirm the appointment and asked me if we were only getting hair done there. I confirmed with them that I booked both hair and makeup. Then I was told that whoever took my appointments never communicated with the makeup artist and no one was available to do makeup for my wedding. Really?! Two days before my wedding?! I went in very optimistic about getting a balayage, but the outcome is a joke. Ashleigh helped me and she was so sweet. But unfortunately I am so unhappy with the outcome of my hair and service. Yesterday I bleached my own hair and it lifted somewhat then when I went in today I had bleach in and my hair didn't lift at all, with this being said that is bizarre. Next as the other stylists were giving their opinion they kept on insisting that I had put henna in my hair although I said no I never have. I had an overall pleasant experience with Crystal as my stylist. I'm pretty picky and Crystal was patient and understanding of my needs. I will say that I'm someone that would rather the stylist have fun and do their thing.
