Imagine this: It's a Sunday night, 6pm and you are in desperate need for an acrylic set. Well this happened to me. I had just back from a tired day and I really wanted to get my nails done. Sadly every place around me was closed by 5pm so my choices were limited. I found this place and saw it was a home business which I loved. I prefer quiet places where the people actually attend to you rather than the busy salons. I called at 550pm and she said come on by we can do your set right now. I was there in a 10 minutes and was offered a drink upon arrival. The process was relaxing and took about an hour (which is average). The set cost me 25$ for the regular so the price was amazing. I really liked this place and my set came out just the way I wanted it to. It was amazing. Definitely coming back here for my refill. read more

She has all of the equipment (including a massage chair) that you'd expect at a commercial shop. Love this place! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Vivian, my nail technician, was very experienced and was able to do everything I wanted. No problems, no miscommunications. Very straightforward. And all staff were so nice! They offered me and my boyfriend, who was waiting, water. I needed some gel polish taken off and Yelp pointed out this salon as the closest to my job, so I went here on my lunch break. Located across the Sterling Middle School, Nails 4U is a cozy salon inside an actual home (don't be alarmed when your gps takes you here hahaha). The lady greeting me (I'm assuming the owner) was very friendly, as well as the nail technician who worked on my manicure. The salon is very clean and small. It only has 2 manicure tables, and 2 pedicure seats which is why it's imperative to schedule an appointment. They have a good selection of nail polishes and I went with a neon orange for the summer. My nail technician did a great job at cleaning off the dead skin, she was very meticulous. However, why the 3 stars? They gave my nails a weird shape and as can be seen from my pictures, the polish chipped the second day! Now I know I got a regular manicure (not gel), so I shouldn't expect it to last long, but not even a full day? Unacceptable! Even though the price was alright, I could have done the same manicure myself. I went to a salon to get it professionally done! Not sure how I feel about this place - I visited for a pedicure & gel manicure this week and had very mixed feelings. First, this salon is actually attached to what looks like the owner's residence - you will pull up to a house and think you're in the wrong place, so don't be phased by that! This place is by appointment only (but I called half an hour before and she told me to come right in), so you'll likely be the only person at the salon during your time there - this could be great, but my technician didn't talk to me at all (even when I tried to start conversations!), so it just turned out to be a very quiet, sort of uncomfortable two hours. That's the other thing...I was there for two hours! My pedicure was great - she was so meticulous and made sure everything was perfect on my toes - I don't think I've ever had a better pedicure! When she started my nails, though, it became clear that I was working with someone without a lot of technical experience. She didn't know how to remove my dip nails! She worked for 45 minutes just removing my previous set...I've had dip nails several times before, and have had no problems with removal. I left with flimsy cardstock nails - I don't think they've ever been in worse shape. The same day, one of them tore. Three stars for this place because my simple pedicure was phenomenal, but I wouldn't trust them for anything more technical than that. read more

The person who did my nails was not the usual girl who does my nails and she was really rushed. 7/26/16 was my first time coming to this shop. I've been searching for awhile a new place that can really do nails. I decided to look on Yelp to find a new shop that wouldn't break my pockets but can actually do nails. I hate having nail extensions and they do them fat and thick. I want my nails to be think and natural and I have to give it up for this shop. Vivian the owner was very polite and very professional. Her shop is beautiful and clean and very welcoming. It's surprising because this shop is connected to her home. I told her my issues that I was having with my previous nail salon and others that I tried and she was very attentive to my needs and concerns. I normally I'm not one for writing reviews unless they're bad ones but since I got my nails done by her I've received so many compliments on them and asking where did I get them done. I visited today for a gel manicure and I was very happy with my experience. I called ahead and was told to come right in! The location is in a quiet, residential area. The Salon was neat and quiet and everything was obviously well taken care of. The attention to detail on my nails was excellent and the nice lady doing my nails even added a little sparkle! I made an appointment for Sunday morning - Lisa was nice and friendly. The shop is cozy, comfortable and clean. I was offered bottled water and then Lisa got to work on my pedicure - she was meticulous but gentle. She shaped my nails perfectly as I requested. The biggest plus is she's experienced enough that you don't have to watch her do her work; I was able to relax and close my eyes for most of my pedicure. Went there last Tuesday. The owner said that her sister had left unexpectedly so she was the only one available to do me and my friends nails. I was getting a pedicure and a gel manicure. My friend was getting a polish change. The owner rushed through our nails getting through my gel manicure, pedicure and my friends polish change all within an hour for everything. I figured it was because she was understaffed and had another appointment later. Nope! When my friend and I left she followed us out and left with a family member. The job she did on my toes and nails was just really awful. It was uneven, overly thick with lumps and she didn't actually do a thing with my cuticles. The nails looked awful even after I showed her a picture of what I wanted them to look like. This was my first time at this salon based on a recommendation. This is a small salon and they can get busy. I took my niece there a few weeks ago and she got a manicure and pedicure. I got a pedicure which didn't hold up well but my niece's did. My pedicure color was applied a bit unevenly and it was apparent the second day. They had a large color selection and offered us waters when we were Seated in The pedicure chairs. My niece was charged full price although she's a child but I didn't argue. She loves the experience and it was her birthday present. Compared to other places we have visited it was expensive for a child although their brochures show different children prices.
