I cannot emphasize this enough: Angie is amazing!!! She not only listens to what you want, but she executes and delivers with such precision and care. Angie gets it right EVERY time and I am always happy with her eyebrow work. I just wish I found her earlier! Just as a heads-up, getting into the building can be confusing the first time. It's located in One Loudoun (so plenty of parking close by), but it's inside the Phenix Studio, where you need to get into the elevator to get to the other side where the stairs are, then go upstairs to the second floor, and then you look for the room. My first experience at Waxtastic. I found the salon as I was searching for an aesthetician in the area for my waxing needs (Brazilian & leg wax) I had to wait a few minutes outside as it was recommended to arrive 15 min. prior to appointment. That was about the amount of time I had to wait. As always the experience of stripping to bare skin is always slightly awkward for the first visit however Angie did make the experience pleasant with conversation the entire visit. Hard wax is used to and her attention to detail was on point. As a healthcare professional I am always on a watch for "double dipping" and proper infection control when waxing. Angie provided the correct aseptic techniques however the room itself was slightly crowded and due to the nature of the lofts it does not provide a "spa" feeling. Regardless that is not why I am there. I am solely providing 2 stars as I received a reminder 24 hours and 59 min. prior to my appointment. After getting off work and checking my e-mail realizing my appointment was the following day & I was going to be out of town I immediately let Angie know and she had said ample time was provided to cancel prior to 24 hours. Ideally I think 2 week notice, 1 week notice and then 1 day notice should be given to prevent "no shows" and cancellations in addition to providing clients with the best customer service. Therefore I was charged an additional $50 1/2 of my appointment which does state on the website but felt like it was disrespectful to only allow 59 minutes to respond after reminder to cancel otherwise you are charged. read more
