We found this place and decided to try it out. I noticed that the technician used the string in her mouth. Other places I have visited no longer keep string in their mouths, but around their necks. Nevertheless, while watching my wife get her eyebrows done, the female technician worked fast and efficiently. The shop wasn't very busy, so we didn't have to wait long. I am glad we found this place. I am sure we will come back here again.

She doesn't even know how to do proper threading -- she used tweezers, worked painfully slow, and left my eyebrows uneven. She kept sneezing, sniffing, and even took medicine during my service. When I asked her to wear a mask (because I have an infant at home), she mocked me and then handed me off halfway through. The other worker tried to fix her mistakes, but I was left with thin, painful eyebrows that I absolutely hate. On top of that, Anusha shouted at me while I was paying and told me never to come back. This was not just bad service -- it was humiliating, unhygienic, and painful. Truly the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. Avoid this place at all costs. I'm writing this as no one deserves this kind of experience as a customer paying for the service.

Stood by the desk, someone asked if I needed help, I said I had a 1:30 with Micheal, then was told to sit upfront and he'd come check with me. 20 minutes later, still sitting in the front when a walk-in came in, someone went to go ask Micheal and he said 20-30 minutes and he'd be with him. So I walked back to talk to him and he was deep into coloring someone else's hair, gloves on and everything. So I asked if I still had my appointment, he said "Oh yeah," then said he'd help me in a little. He came and grabbed me finally, then immediately started accosting me about how it's my fault I didn't walk over to him. I don't live here, I don't know who he is so how could I? He continued to accost me the whole cut, lecturing me how it's my fault I had to wait, he even said he saw me in there. 3-5 minutes into the cut he asked if I wanted product. I was so confused, he hadn't done anything I wanted so I asked "are you done?" He said yes, so I repeated what I wanted, then he told me no, he wasn't going to do that and then continued doing what I didn't want for 15 more seconds, then asked how I wanted to pay. My hair is so uneven and is completely fucked up. It's so uneven and he missed parts of my hair... He also works at Scotch and Scissors apparently and tried to get me to go there and told me it'd be $65 there instead of $45 at Village 9. $65 for a 3 minute cut while getting accosted and told he wouldn't cut my hair like I asked? This man is a criminal. I really wish one of the nice ladies at Village 9 would've responded to my inquiry for a cut, they would've been head and shoulders above him.

I have been waxing my face for 10 years. I am a regular at European waxing center for all my wax…read moreneeds. Technician is one thing but their products are always good. Never had an issue ever. I found this place for eyebrows and have gone a couple of times for eyebrows and have done face wax here once in the past. No problem with eye brow part. This time, against my better judgment, I decided to do face wax. Lady burnt and wripped off my one side of face. I have a 3 inches long burn under eye orbital, around dime size rip in and around my laugh line and most painful one is under my lower lip, almost 2 inches long. There are multiple smaller 1cm burns/rips on same side of face. I can't laugh and even washing face is painful. I developed cellulitis and has been using topical antibiotic. I did not want to be dramatic once I saw all the damage in my car mirror right after service. My face was stinging horribly and burning got worst with aloe Vera gel that she applied. She had clients so instead of going back in I called her. Her first response was "oh it was not like this when you left from here". Like what? did I decide to mutilate my face for fun? I went back to show her. Not a single word of apology. Her answers were "wax is unpredictable." "You shouldn't have done wax." " Many of my clients get burnt because of sensitive skin." "Hide it under makeup" "you will be fine in few days, just apply Vaseline" She Completely dismissed me when I said "why didn't you stop when you saw first burn?" "Why is it only one side of face, it's either your technique or you have put warmer wax". Instead of listening to me she applied a patch on her cheek and said nothing happened to me. Then offered impersonally that take a $25 card. Then she said I can refund you. I didn't say yes to either. Because it made me feel so awkward that I am in literal pain and she thinks I just want money. So rude, and unprofessional. An apology and hearing me out would have sufficed. But she uttered not a single word of apology. I felt gaslighted. I mean you are aesthetician, shouldn't you be learning in school on how to pay attention, talk and evaluate skin. Is not this basics? And if you can't see such big burns right away get proper lights. I have multiple darkest patches/spots over half of my face and I am in a client facing job. I am so upset and I feel businesses take benefit of politeness. I will be making complaint to aesthetic board with pictures of my face. I never look for best deals and coupons because I believe in paying people what they want for their services and in turn do a good job. After this experience I have no sympathy or respect for this place.
