Usually I have a great experience with this salon but I went for a basic mani/pedi and my nails ended up smudging twice. After 2.5 hours of a great time at the salon, I was walking home and noticed my nails smudged. I went back realizing I'm probably being annoying but the staff is so wonderful and friendly and they fixed my nails. I stayed another 30 minutes for them to dry. The nails on both my hands ended up smudging despite hours of being dry later that evening and I told myself I can't go back to get them fixed anymore. Maybe it was just an off day but make sure your nails thoroughly dry before going home. I'm disappointed my nails won't look nice before I travel for the holidays but I will live. My feet look great and no smudging there! Pluses include tasty candy, kindness, and really great hot stone massages. read more

I have been here twice. once I went to get acrylics 3 hours before closing and the nail technician looked so annoyed to be there and to do my nails, I asked her for a shorter length then I got and when I didn't like my nail color (after she painted half of one nail) she was annoyed to change the color, but other than that the nails I got the first time were pretty . The second time I got in I went to get a normal gel manicure, I waited 36 minutes for a nail tech and she came in in casual clothe sipping Starbucks looking like she had no business nor any want to paint my nails, I genuinely thought she was a customer. When she did my nails she was kind but during the manicure she cut my cuticles too deep and made me bleed. What's worse is that she wanted the bleeding to stop so bad so she kept rubbing the injury really hard and would make the pain worse. The finished product was ugly, my cuticles were cut, the gel was bumpy and some of the sides missed polish. I won't be coming here again read more

Stopped by this store last Sunday. I guess I met with the store manager, because of some of the pictures I saw. Although the wom as n I saw open the shop was not the same woman that greeted me... nevertheless... I wanted to get my nails buffed after viewing the stores menu. I was informed that I would need a manicure before she could buff my nails. My previous manicure had started growing back and if there my nails didn't shine, the manager couldn't charge me $5.00. I understand her reasons for not giving me a manicure; nevertheless, it was a disappointment to be rejected. I will give th ed m another chance when I am not pressed for time as well. I will find out if waxing is for women only. Or they treat all clients the same as far as waxing services are concerned. My family and I just moved into the Blvd at Loudoun Station apartments and I was so excited to find this nail salon directly across from where we live! I called and made an appointment ahead of time but it was not very busy when I arrived. The services I got were a pedicure (with a grapefruit scrub and mask) and an SNS manicure. The guy I had (I didn't catch his name) did a great job on the pedicure. I wasn't as thrilled with the SNS. He was patient helping me pick out the multiple colors I wanted but the end result was just ok. Some of the nails have a few bumps and rough spots - little wonky shaped, and uneven thicknesses (I tried best to show this in my photos). A little excess product was left around the cuticles that I have to chip away. Also I was not offered any cuticle clean up with this service which I desperately needed. I've done SNS at another salon before so I know it can look a little better than this. Next time I think I'll just go with gel polish. read more

I've been getting my nails done for 20 years... from AZ to CA to NY to VA. This is by far the worst nail job I've ever had. It took 1.5 hours for a full set and that's because after an 1hr and 10 mins I had to ask for someone else to do my nails. The manager, I assume she was, came to finish the job which still took another 20+ minutes. They were crooked, soooo thick, heavy, misshaped, everything bad you can imagine I literally started to cry thinking about the time and money I'd wasted by then. The first lady who ruined my nails started laughing hysterically when I started crying. She kept laughing and I kept crying. Finally I asked if someone else could finish them. She started at 2:50pm and it was 4:10pm and they still needed drilling, sanding, etc. The manager came and finished. She said they looked they way they did because they were so long?! Look at the pics...that doesn't look long to me. Even after the manager finished they still look awful. I will NEVER go back to this salon and I can't wait for 2 weeks to pass so I can get them filled somewhere else. The pics don't look as bad as they do in person. OK - First: I've been going to this salon since we moved to NoVA a year ago, and must say I absolutely love this nail salon! (I adore pedis, but when I decided to try a mani - it was every bit as good! No discomfort, and the gel polish lasted right at 2 weeks. I haven't yet tried the SNS I've heard about - but that may be next.) So - Second: We had been traveling, and I was about a week (maybe more) late to make an appointment for another pedi. Bad luck as I actually broke my ankle in the meantime! When I made an appointment, I had *every* confidence Jessica would take care of me and be gentle - and she ABSOLUTELY was! After a week of being in pain, her gentle treatment of my swollen ankle was soothing and relaxing, and her attention while trimming my toenails was so very much appreciated! And Third: Although I usually go early on weekdays (when it is quiet), I have watched as previous clients leave and others arrive - and the techs are careful to clean the tub between clients and use sanitized tools. There is no overwhelming acrylic odor - only fresh air lightly scented. Manis and pedis are great - fungus is not - so I'm so happy Jessica and the others take my nail health seriously. read more

I came into the salon after reading reviews about new management and better service. There were glowing reviews about Trisha so I made my appointment with her, and those reviews turned out to be completely right! I got a gel (or shellac maybe?) manicure done. She took so much time actually perfecting my cuticles and nails before starting with the polish, which you don't see at a lot of salons. She also did a holographic nail, which I've never seen in any salon in the Loudon County area yet, and a free-handed design for me! There are just a few minor complaints I have. I wasn't offered any drinks, but I heard clients around me being offered them. The manicure also did take a lot of time, but honestly it was completely worth it for the quality of the service and the end product! They have dip nails as well, and they have a pedicure chair that's walled off if you like a bit of privacy. This is my new go-to salon in the Ashburn area for Trish's amazing service! read more

I really don't like to write negative reviews. Especially since I LOVED this place. I moved about year and half ago from the area, and did not realize management has changed. But it was very apparent this last visit. So I walked in for a basic gel pedicure, and since I understood it's a walk-in, you get who you get. Let me tell you, it was literally one of the worst pedicures I've ever gotten. The guy (I didn't catch his name), first off I could obviously tell he was annoyed I walked in, I kinda brushed it off sat down in the pedicure chair. He barely cleaned my nails and just cut and filed my nails. I purposely asked for no pumice since I had surgery on my foot about 6 months ago. So no worries, he just did a longer massage (which I appreciate). The issue was the polishing, first off he really messed up on my big toe, and smudged it with his hand. The first fixing attempt he tried putting more gel polish and curing it. Before I put my shoes on, I realized how clumpy my toe looked, and touching it did I realize it wasn't cured. The second attempt in fixing it he went ahead and filed the surface of the nail, and basically put more gel polish on top. Which I know I'm not a nail technician, but even I know you don't do that. But again I'm not a person who complains. It looked fine, I was ready go. However as I was running errands, I realized my big toe gel polish was sloughing off and not dry at all! The gel completely stained the inside of my shoe. I had to drive all the way back, to get it fixed for a third time. At that point the same guy, asked "what happened?" And I explained the situation. I had to wait and additional 15-20 minutes as he was attending another client. This time around I told him I needed the polish completely off my big toe. Which he listened and did. But the repeat polish job was so quick and sloppy. No apologies or even partial refund. I just settled. So here we are two days later and I'm now just realizing my other toes are only half cured and bumpy looking. Let me tell you this pedicure was not cheap either. I spent 57$ (gel pedi and one child polish). I don't mind paying for the quality I used to receive at this spa, but for 3 retouches and no improvement, I'm extremely disappointed. This was not the case when Trish worked here, and unfortunately Jessica was not there. read more

One lady started my gel Manicure and someone else showed up to finish it and it was not a good manicure. I hd to point out one nail with an a virus lump on it. When I left I had gel polish on the tips of every one of my fingers (not on the nail). On several nails the gel is hitting my cuticle so I expect that to peeling off within days!! I spent 20 minutes picking gel off of my fingers and still have it in cuticles and sides of nails. Two nails weren't even shaped properly and are crooked. First of all, I wanted a French manicure and the guy doing my nails (I didn't catch his name) told me my nails were too short, which would've been understandable but I have gotten a French manicure with the same length before. I then chose a light color for the dipping powder (it was my first time getting having it done) and it was fine until the end when he put a hot rag over my nails and messed them all up. He had to redo 4 of the nails twice and then sent me home with messed up nails anyways. This was definitely not worth $50 and I will not be returning. read more

With the new management/owner taking over, I've been INCREDIBLY impressed with the nail salon services. THIS is the place to go for mani/pedi if you happen to be near Ashburn! I had an incredible luxurious spa-pedicure and felt completely relaxed over a round of hot towels and massage. I actually came in at their prime time, but never once felt rushed during the service. There were a lot of color choices and pricing is very reasonable and comparable to the area. The lady who did my nails were very pleasant and did an excellent job. The overall experience was fantastic and I would go again (and refer all my friends to this place). The salon is in EXCELLENT condition...VERY CLEAN. All the employees were pleasant, attentive, and expert technicians. This might be the best pedicure I've ever had! I chose the colada pedicure and loved every second! When I walked in I was greeted, then signed in, picked my color, waited about 5-10 minutes then sat in the back of the salon in the pedicure room. The salon plays nice piano spa music and has a nice aesthetic. After I got into the chair I was given cookies, water, and a warm lavender neck warmer! Wow!!! The technician took her time and was super gentle. Every inch of my feet/calves was cared for with warm scrub, warm lotion, warm oil, a hot towel, and perfectly timed massage. Total pedicure time was a full hour and I felt totally cared for and relaxed. Haven't gone to a salon and felt that way in awhile so I really appreciate the ambiance, gentleness and attention to detail. I was looking for a nice place to get a spa pedi for my birthday and yelp helped me find this place! I had a very nice spa, mint pedicure with Hannah. It was a Sat afternoon and place was nice and quiet. They have a separate area in the back for pedicures so you can relax and escape the noise of people getting their nails done which I absolutely loved. The whole place is very modern and new and classy. They gave me complimentary water and some yummy asian cookies. They also put a warm scented neck pillow on you during the pedicure. She was gentle and gave good massages and let me relax while she took care of my legs and feet. Ahh much needed and a nice way to treat myself for my bday. Price was a little high but for a special occasion I could justify it. It does come with the works and you will leave with a lovely pedi. Roughed the nail bed during a manicure, meaning it will take months to grow out the damage, despite the fact I requested that step be skipped. Very rough and painful use of an orange stick to push back the cuticles, likely meaning more nail damage and a deep cut to the skin at the edge of thumbnail from use of cuticle clippers (hello -- cuticle clipper are for cuticles). Additionally, the nail tech kept using his own nail to clean up his mistakes, even running it underneath my own nails. Couldn't wait to leave and pour alcohol over my hands. This is why Virginia needs laws that allow only licensed technicians from accredited cosmetology schools to work in these salons. Licensing in this state is a joke. read more
