Next came a quick shower and then my skin was massaged with a rich body butter that left my skin hydrated and silky soft. I had a most wonderful 60 minute Thai-Euro (Swedish) massage on March 2, 2026. The massage therapist was most outstanding. Kind, capable, and talkative if I asked (but knew not to talk when I was just luxuriating under her skilled hands) That was the best part but also many other very nice touches: a heated bed to lay on, pillows under your ankles when face down (made it much more comfortable), pillows under knees when face up, wiped down with a damp hot towel to remove oil, given tea before hand and water after. Pros: I don't want to gatekeep my therapist because was too good but wow, what a session! Lin does an incredible job in making my body feel better. A true body whisperer! I kept asking myself why haven't I been here way before?! The ambience was unexpectedly warm and cozy. Tea and couch post-session was a nice ending so you can relax before you drive back home. Consideration: I appreciated being introduced to the membership plan, and the options seemed reasonable. However, I needed a bit more time to make a decision, especially since I was short on time and had to leave town. I also was told that signing up required an in-person visit to complete physical paperwork. When I asked about the possibility of calling back or emailing before the store closed as an alternative, I was informed that this wasn't an option. Made an appointment yesterday for my sister and myself but my sister came down with flu symptoms and called to cancel or reschedule the appointment but they would not do that for another day. And charged my account. Terrible customer service!! Having had my own business and being a medical provider, thought this was a terrible business model specially during Fall and Winter months since a lot of people may come down with either Flu or Covid. I last wrote about this Spa years ago before the pandemic. Thought it may be helpful to update the review during the pandemic. Like so many Spas, the locations across NVA wre shut down and even when restrictions were lifted, the owners took time beofre re-opening with information about precautions for its customers and staff. For all customers, on entering there is sanitizer, and face masks to use. At the front desk everone is required to fill out an information sheet and temperatures are taken (BTW many PT entities don't even do this much). There are very clean restrooms to use with sanitizer, soap and towels. The rooms were always and still are very clean and the masks are utilized by client and staff. I lost my last therapist Jane sho returned to Thailand and am fortuate to use my wife's favorite therapist Kamon. Satff are great with Nae who always has the patiience to deal with my many chages, Cocoa and one of the owners Uma. I have not visited other locations but given my experience at this Sterling location (opposite Cascades Shopping Center and adjacent to the Post Office) would highly recommend Origins Thai Spa. read more

I passed this location a few times and thought I'd check out the website and give them a try. The booking was done online and was very simple after creating a profile. They have a great breakdown of all the services they offer. I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment and parked on-site in the parking garage. The staff was friendly and wearing masks as I signed in for my appointment. I saw Zack for a deep tissue massage and it was amazing!!! I was extremely sore after working out earlier that week and I left feeling ten times better. Zack was very gentle and able to easily pinpoint all of my areas of pain and soreness. I visited the new Alexandria location today. It was conviently located near Old Town. The new renovated interiors were elegant and serene. The customer service was just as professional as the Arlington location. I had not had a traditional Thai massage since the pandemic begin. The site was presenting and the staff took all of the necessary precautions to include wearing mask for both patrons and therapist, hand sanitizers stations and private rooms. Minty was my massage therapist and she was incredible. Her technique was that of an expert and she made sure I was comfortable and relaxed and she performed deep therapeutic stretches. I have been getting Thai massages for over 15 years and this was probably the worst Thai massage I have ever gotten!! The lady who did the massage seemed inexperienced (even though she was quite old and so you would think she had lot of experience) and didn't really do a decent job. She didn't do most of the stretches that are done in such massages, was a bit rough and uneven on both sides. I had paid extra for the herbal massage and in all other similar places, they only use single-use herbal packs that the is not reused among guests and the customer gets to take it home at end of the massage since it is not hygenic to reuse that for other guests! BUT, at this place they clearly reused the herbal packs and she barely spent 5 minutes with it massaging me!! Not sure if all the other good reviews are real or fake :-( read more

Very disappointed in my last experience at this location. I called to schedule a couple massage as a gift to my husband for Xmas. Called the day of to confirm, and the receptionist told me she 1) didn't have my number on file, 2) then said she called my number to confirm and cancel the appointment, and 3) and then said she texted me to confirm the cancellations. I have been to countless businesses for a good massage I'm Alexandria since Ai moves here in February of 2020. I had injures my shoulder in a fall and a month later I was still in pain. One day in May I was looking to try out another place for a massage because I still hadn't found a place that I would consider above average for a massage yet. It was the rudest receptionist who was asking me if I was coming for sure to my appointment. She asked me if i was coming couple of times that she arranged the lady now, otherwise she was leaving. When i mentioned i wouldn't arrange it last minute if i wasn't coming and then she complains about another customer yesterday how she didn't come to her appointment . In addition, She was gonna charge me if i didn't go. At the end, i said unless I died, I was coming. She told me she didn't like this attitude and decided to cancel my booking. She is the one who started with the wrong attitude and then, I as a customer am the one with wrong attitude. I find it so unprofessional to be investigated or to be assured like that during making an appointment for a massage saloon where by the way we go for relaxation. I understand she is trying to make sure not to lose money on business, But, what she had with another customer is not my problem. These things happen in businesses. This is service business and this is not the approach you show your customers especially in these difficult times. If you are making an appointment make sure to tell them you are going to your appointment for sure or better give them notary signed letter that you are going. But don't tell them what i said otherwise your appointment will be cancelled just like that. So unprofessional! So rude! read more

I love Origins Thai Spa and have been a member for years. I have had only a few massage therapist at this location but I swear by Sara. She has always delivered one of the best massages whether it was deep tissue, thai massage, etc. The only reason why I had other massage therapists here was due to Sara being busy. So be mindful to book in advance with her. Plus who doesn't love booking things online? The website is very user friendly. One thing I would recommend for others to do is sign up for their membership program. I am going to miss this place as I am moving out of state early next year. I am not sure if I will be able to find another good thai massage place or another therapist like Sara. Yelpers in Texas will have to help me on that one.
