Went for a second massage last week it was good the only thing that with this masseuse, Linda I needed half and hours more. She focused more in my back which was so need and I could handle more time now. The first visit one hours massage was all I could handle since my body was sore. So learning and understanding that depending on how my body feels and the masseuse time will need to be increased. First time I booked half hour and asked for half more. This time I booked one hours but I should ask for half hour more. Since my front body got like 10-15 minutes! But my back was sore needed of all that great points she pressed! I wished she asked me if I wanted more time! Anyway communication is key here! read more

Staff was nice but this was suboptimal experience. Front desk worker kind and took me to a room told me to undress (normal, of course). Not even 30 seconds later a gentleman knocked and opened the door when I was naked, just stared at me, no introduction or words beside "okay". I motioned to close the door and covered up for the massage. He returned after a few more seconds and again no introduction or instructions. Massage was okay, did not seem up to par with any other professional l've experienced. I felt horrible because it was clear he did not speak English. He pointed to a paper on the wall that said $10 for oil. I was confused as I was used to massage oil being already included, I tried to clarify but he just started at me and repeated "$10" so l agreed initially. When he came back he had a small vial of essential oil. I asked what the normal oil would cost or if I could do the massage without the up charge for "essential oil," after a difficult conversation in which neither of us could understand the other he held up a bottle of lotion. I said that was fine. Standard lotion was sticky and not smooth. A timer went off and he said "done" and walked out. Just not the best place to go if expecting a quality massage or any kind of experience if you are looking for a good experience. We walked in with no expectations for :90 couples massages. The location was clean and basic, no frills. I was massaged over the sheets at first which seemed odd. The masseuse used sheets, hands, and hot stones...lots of acupressure points. I added cupping to my massage and that was a bit painful at first but I will definitely do it agin. I called on a Sunday afternoon for a walk-in and they were happy to take me. I had Susan for a full body 60 min massage and she was great. Incredibly sweet and checked in on me at the beginning of the session to make sure the pressure was comfortable. Today was my second second visit at Eden's both times phenomenal, friendly staff and masseuses. Very clean and welcoming environment, perfect combination to get a massage at. The first visit was a gift for my bday this past January and today was a "treat yourself" type of day for me (spontaneous!) the message with Monica today was exceptional, I look forward to coming back soon. It has a spa-ish feel to it but without the fancy stuff which work for me, I much rather have an amazing massage then pay for an overrated $150+ resort price. Just had my second massage with Monica yesterday in one week and it was the best massage that I ever had in the area! I have really bad neck, shoulder and back from spending all day sitting in front of a computer for many years. Monica found out all of my sore points through pressuring and she will spend a lot of time to massage these knots to increase the blood flow and relieve the pain. This makes a huge difference than a routine massage with equal amount of time on every area. I always appreciate a therapist to "customize" the massage with better therapeutic effect! She also worked with me to adjust the pressure to my preference throughout the massage and the pressure that she gave was perfect. I like strong pressure and she totally delivered! She was working so hard and her sweats showed. Very appreciative on my side for her hard work! Also her head massage felt like magic which I loved and will probably ask for longer time in my next appointment lol. She also has some knowledge of Chinese medicine that she learned from her life in China and from the owner who is a traditional Chinese doctor. She did cupping for me to remove the dampen Qi in my body with detoxification, something that is practiced in China as a common procedure at pretty much all massage places and traditional Chinese doctor offices. Also the business is very professional and they are very customer service oriented. I have done a lot of massages in my life and Eden has all the characters of a top massage practice. Went today and had the couple massage special. I get a massage once a month, and this is one of the better massages I have had in NOVA. Monica, was really thorough and everything was mostly relaxing. She was a bit rough on the lower back, felt like knuckles on the spine, but I mentioned it and she eased up. The massage was an actual full body massage: some scalp, ears, face, shoulders, a lot of back, arms, butt, and legs (I have broken toe so not sure if they would normally do feet or not). This was unlike any massage over ever gotten! It was kind of a combination of a deep tissue and Thai massage. Amanda did a fantastic job and I feel great. One thing - if you have an injury or arthritic joint I'd be very clear before they start. They don't do the intake form many places do. She didn't tell me what was happening, just did it. By far an amazing massage today. Went in due to severe swelling in my legs. My therapist Carolyn told me about each muscle group and technique needed to help push the fluid out. She used a firm touch using her fore arms whicb instead of digging and hurting me it was a nice and even touch and pressure that felt very nice. She worked my stiff hip joine and it felt loose and normal again. I have had many massages other places where I was left in pain taking tylenol for days after. It has been a few hours now and I ha e had no pain amd still feel relaxed and ready for a great night sleep! I only get my massages from Linda because she's awesome! The entire massage feels amazing and each move seems intentional (no filler fluffy moves).
