Very sweet lady and did a good job. My nails were a mess and I came in knowing what color to get and picked it. As soon as she put it on, the color was much brighter than it looked in the bottle. So my nail tech found a color very similar to what I wanted- then the issue was that 2 coats of this color changed it to a super dark color. Sooo I was very disappointed but didn't want to say anything (mostly due to bad experiences and temperaments of a lot of other salon techs) and even after all my nails were painted, she noticed I didn't look happy and said she'd re-do it. I was super relieved because it was a for an event tomorrow and I was going to just go home and take it off myself. The only reason this place gets two stars is because Issa is amazing. Otherwise, everyone else I have gone to truly sucks - especially the manager. I called ahead of time at 6 to see if they had time for a pedicure and the manager assured me they do. I walked in and was told to sit, wasn't offered water (when the techs usually do) and when the manager looked at my nails she said "they're small so I will hurt you" and then proceeded to aggressively do my nails and hurt me in what felt intentionally. I really like this salon specially be aids they have 3 ladies (nail techs) who speak Spanish. My mom lives with me so I also take her to get her pedi & mani done every month or so. She only speaks Spanish so it's great for her. The rest of the nail techs are Vietnamese and mostly courteous. The place is clean. The only complaint is that you can only book over the phone & they don't speak much English. I get my Spa pedi and dip nails there and they last for awhile. Try this place! It's also nice and quiet. I had high hopes for this place. Nice and clean but very bad service. The Manager is very rude. I visited this place four times in the last two weeks and each visit there was an issue. She treats the workers very poorly and always has an attitude. It's strange because there is positive scripture and quotes all over the salon. The workers themselves are very kind and hard-working but lack experience when it comes to nails and dealing with customers. Three strikes in a single game. Luck is not with me today...as far as getting waxed. The Cascades Nail& Spa might be my last in this shopping mall area. Upon entering the store Ms. Mina greeted me as she was helping another lady with her manicure. I inquired about the waxing and Mina excused herself from the lady she was helping. Mina picked up a menus and pointed to the menu of what she thought I wanted. She than returned to the lady( We'll call) Alice. I looked around for a moment and saw another woman getting a pedicure from a female technician. All of them seemed be be watching me out of the corner of their eyes. Looking at the menu Mina pointed to, it was apparently obvious that English was difficult for her. If I had said I need the full glutes maximus done, she would ha been even more confused than she was. I explain again I needed the backside area done, but did not explain why. The hair on the rest of my body hasn't grown back as quickly as the hair on my butt and in between. Yes it gets itchy, and now I am not going to use a razor.. experiencing extreme itchiness on two different occasions was enough for me. Nevertheless, I know I saw two smirks from Alice and the girl getting her pedicure (we'll call) Demona. I also saw what looked like sympathy too. I believe I had to explain what I wanted three times to Mina before she figured out what I wanted. Poor English! Poor service. I tried once and now twice because I expected a free service and of course, a better one... but no. They can't understand English and they even don't care for the client and his own opinion. Don't go there for gel nails please!!! I returned for fixing two fingers in the day after I made the nails and she was ready for giving my money back saying that was my fault and I asked them to fix the nails and she did it with the bad attitude. This is why I hate nail salons. I went in with my friend today to get our nails done since the actual salon we wanted to go to was closed. First things first. The front desk lady was absolutely unpleasant. She gave off this vibe where you just bothered her. As she started doing my nails she asked me to pick a color in which I did and then she questioned it like "oh this color, really" kind of tone and it's like why have this color in the first place in your damn salon if you're gonna be scoffing at me for choosing it lol next thing she was rough and it felt like I was being manhandled and it got irritating after awhile. Not to mention that she rushed my service that my nails turned out completely deformed. They looked like uncooked black beans. Then when she shunned me basically to the nail dryer thing, she picked up my LV bag and examined it for some reason and then spoke that ish with her colleagues which one of them nonchalantly looked at where I was sitting and proceeded to talk their smack. Then after I paid, she walked out even before I could tip her. She handed me a voucher for my "next service" which was kind of insulting because who says I'll be back? The most ugly personality ever. PS her lash extensions looked like spider legs lol honey with lashes like yours, I could never be rude to someone She was absolutely rude and the only thing I can give a compliment on was how clean the salon was. Started my pedi within 5 min. Offered us drinks (water & soda). Gave off kind and helpful vibes throughout the whole service. I have been going to this salon for a couple months, the reason for that is because it's very close to my house, I can just walk there. The owner (Van?) has an attitude, super rude and always does what she wants not what the customer wants. I have only had Van do my nails and I always make an appointment but when I arrive, I always have to wait at least 20-30 min, such a waste of the client's time, that's for sure. The other reviews are correct, they all speak their own language and then look at you and start laughing, so you know that they are making fun of you. The nail polishes they use are often very old and thick, most of the time, I pick something and she tells me that's an old one and she replaces it, it also chips off easily. The entire time I am there, they keep pushing me to get other services done there, like lash extension. Each and every time. I had some dry skin at the bottom of my feet, they charged me extra for the pedicure so they get rid of those and nothing. It was same as before. The pedicure lady is nice though. Their regular manicure is nothing to write home about, so I always get the gel manicure and it always looks patchy afterward. The owner also refuses to do pedicure, like it's beneath her or something, she treats her staff and customers very poorly, it makes me very uncomfortable every time I visit this place, time to find a new salon! read more

I hate giving small businesses bad reviews but in this case, it's necessary. When I try a new salon, there are generally 3 things that I look for: cleanliness, attentiveness to your nails, and friendly attitude. The first time I went, a man greeted me and got me settled. He was very sweet, professional and friendly. He gave the impression that he listened to the client. The salon was also nice and clean, even if it was weirdly decorated. But that's where the good stops and the bad takes over. Niki did my mani-pedi. She is so fast that the "massage" you're supposed to get as part of the service really isn't one. It's more akin to rubbing lotion on yourself when you're running late for work. In addition, all of my nails were filed unevenly and she didn't take the time to check them. I had to fix it later. Lastly, she came at me with a nail file meant for acrylic nails, NOT NATURAL NAILS. That is a huge issue for me. My nails are fragile and a business that is supposed to be taking care of your nails shouldn't be doing the opposite - tearing them up. So I wasn't happy when I left. But then it got worse! I developed mold on one nail underneath the gel. Yikes! This had never happened before, anywhere. So I went back to have it fixed. Did they apologize? No. Did they offer to fix it for free? No. In fact, Mai (the owner?) told me that I must have dipped my finger in mold (?!) and then very angrily started talking in her native language, which I couldn't understand, and threw me over to Niki, walking off in a huff. Ruuuddde, just rude. ‍ I sat there for a minute or so in shock. Then Niki basically removed all of my gel, put regular polish on my nails (which wasn't what we had discussed) and charged me for a full manicure. It was probably one of the worst experiences I've had at a salon. I won't be going back and I don't recommend that you do either. P.S. Mai (or is it Van?) should stay away from that place if she can't be friendly and respectful to her customers. She's toxic. read more

I called early to make an appointment for the afternoon, requested a certain nail tech, showed up and waited 20 minutes before leaving due to scheduled plans (hence why I made an appointment in the first place...). After explaining my frustrations, I was told by the manager that I needed to request "anyone" because my nail tech was busy... even though I made an appointment 8 hours ahead of time... All I ask is if you ask your customers to make an appointment, is to honor that appointment. I wish I could give 4.5 stars. I've been going to this salon for a couple years now and truly enjoy coming to get my nails done. The workers are incredibly sweet and make you feel comfortable. The atmosphere is pretty relaxing, with slowed covers of popular songs playing in the background. I'd love to get ahold of their playlist! They also offer a couple choices of beverages (non alcoholic) which is a nice touch. My only con for this place is that occasionally I feel like they rush through manicure services, but it's mostly because they're pretty busy, and I've never had an issue with my nails when I've felt a bit rushed. I've not ever experienced anyone being rude at all, just in a hurry to accommodate everyone they can. I have been going here for about three years now. It has changed management/ownership several times. I really like the latest change. It's very clean and the staff is pleasant and happy to see you. They work hard to make sure you are pleased with the results. The owner is trained in microblading. I have seen several people that had their brows done here and they turned out beautiful. My biggest issue today is it took over 2 hours for a manicure and pedicure which I've never had to do at other locations. I showed what I believe is the owner who did my nails a picture of how I would like my nails, not only did the assistant give her the wrong nail color I chose, the design looked nothing like the picture. Having been here previously, I was expecting the stellar customer service I was accustomed to. Not only am I having an allergic reaction when I clearly stated that I was allergic to the base coat for acrylic, but when the polish I chose, CLEARLY did not match the swatch, AND I DARED TO ASK FOR IT TO BE CHANGED PLEASE, I got huffs and puffs and was made to feel awful. I made an appointment for three mani, pedi's today and not only did we have to wait 30 minutes passed our appointment time but they weren't at all nice about it. The one girlfriend that was with me had three different tech's and rushed through her gel nails and me and my other friend got our mani and the one tech that did mine rushed through mine and didn't bother to even give me a massage or lotin nor did she have wash my hands. They took me to the chair to do my pedi and I sat there for so long the water went cold. They bought my girlfriend over to do hers, and she had to tell them to do mine first. I never leave yelp reviews, but this time I just had too. I've been coming to Cascade nails for over 5 years now. I've seen the management and the entire store change at least twice. I think tonight might have to be my last. A woman who I've never seen before did my manicure around 7pm, I had asked for two acrylic nails since I just broken mine. She did not understand, which was fine, but she did not need to talk shit about my nails and make a big fuss about redoing my nails halfway through. She was very rough with the nail file and left cuts on my fingers which has never happened before! She did such a poor job, that I had to call another nail tech over just to take the extra oil off and file down my nails again. I usually frequent this place twice a month, but I've noticed that turnover is high here, and my manicures barely last a week! Only reason I am leaving two stars, is the management here is so nice to their customers. Sad to say I'm no longer going to be a regular here. read more

I had a great experience here today. For the first time in my entire life i had a consultation! Yes, someone actually listened to me and gave suggestions. This put me at complete ease because i came in for a complete Change for my nails. I usually have long, coffin cut nails. I wanted a more professional look-- i didn't exactly know how this could be achieved. The owner - and all 3 of the nail techs (i don't remember their names, sorry) were completely amazing, kind and respectful. I can't go on about how thorough the consultation was, and all of the suggestions the owner made- she even translated what i wanted in Vietnamese to the techs so that there was complete understanding.
