It's tucked in the back of a strip center near a salon and vape shop -- not fancy, not flashy -- but inside it's clean, welcoming, and run with genuine care. I've been to the big-name spas where you pay for the lobby and the cucumber water. This is the opposite. Prices are posted, expectations are clear, and you can talk openly about what you want, what you need, and what you're willing to spend. No games, no upsell pressure. Julia (the owner) walked through my goals with me -- strong pressure on my back and shoulders, lighter on my sensitive legs -- and suggested a small hot stone add-on to see if I liked it. I did. It was perfect. My massage therapist, Judy, was phenomenal. Strong, skilled, and determined to work out years of tension from my desk job. She even tackled knots I've had for over a decade. I left sore (my choice!) but the relief in the days afterward was incredible. I felt lighter and more relaxed than I have in ages. Bring cash to tip, and seriously -- treat yourself. My experience in this place was not great. I booked a couples massage for me and my husband, we got there 2 minutes before the appointment, and we filled out the form. We got into separate rooms even though we booked a couples massage, I told her, and she responded that's how they do it. When she started the massage, it was passed 4:00 and she was just looking at the clock, it was times that she seemed to be tired or didn't know what to do. In the middle of the massage someone ring the bell, and she just left me there to go open the door. When she came back, she was looking at her phone while giving a massage with one hand. at 5:00 she said she was done, (I paid for 60 min massage). By the time I paid she was just looking at the amount of money that I wrote for tip, the massage was $140 plus $4 dollars for credit card fee and I gave a total of 16 dollars and she said "OH NOO, That's too little" I was not happy with the service and I was considering not giving tip at all, my husband also mention to her that he left some cash in the other room ($7.00). I ended changing my tip amount for $30 just to avoid any conflict and not to ruin our first date night for more than 2 years. I am disappointed with the service and definitely not going back to this place. After driving by this hidden store about four times, I decided to try them out. I promised myself that if I pass the drivers safety classes for my new job, I would treat myself to an hour long massage. Yesterday was that day and I drove to my work place to file out some last minute paperwork and pick up two shirts and a tie before heading to Pro Massage. This Pro Massage in Sterling Virginia is located at the Sterling Center and is hidden behind several stores. The location is not the best place, but there is plenty of parking spaces to park. The store is well done and looked better than the other two Pro Massage Store I visited. The first one I went to is in Fairfax Virginia and the second one was in Falls Church. It it's now called Green Spa and have not gotten a massage there since the name change. Walking into Pro Massage I was greet by a little lady who name turned out to be Julia. Smiling while saying "hello" she asked me how long I wanted to get a massage for. After confirming I was there for a hour, I was guided to a dark, but comfortable room. I could see around the room and I did not see what a previous Yelper was talking about. I did see that a note was written in the wall asking for a review on Yelp or Google. Since I am writing my review, I am giving the store owners what they want. Julia had strong hands and from what I saw when I was laying down pink shorts. Massaging my back with a thin sheet covering me, she massaged me to loosen up my muscles before applying the oil. Julia must have been hungry, because I heard her stomach grumbling for the first part of the massage. Nevertheless, she worked her way down my body not skipping anything...okay, I didn't get much of a foot massage, but that's okay. I have had areas like the stomach, chest, feet and most of my legs missed in a masssge. So the fact that Julia scored a 9 1/2 out of a ten says something. Julia's English language is outstanding so there were no language barrier at this store. I will have to get another experience with her the next time I am in Sterling Virginia. This Massage Pro is the best one I have been to and now the only one i wish to go to from now on. When i entered the store, there was no bad smell of food being eaten or cooked i have experienced at other massage establishments...yes this includes Pro Massage in Fairfax. Anyhow, Julia told me that the large tree in the store is a sign of goodluck. I will be back before this year ends. P.S if there is one thing that needs work is the bathroom. I've been to Massage Pros at least a half a dozen times now since March of 2021. They are tucked away off of route 7 in Sterling. Both ladies are phenomenal. They have magic hands. I suffer from middle to lower back pain and have high amounts of stress due to my job especially during COVID that makes it difficult to unwind. Every time I see these ladies I come out refreshed, no back pain, and carefree. I try to go once a month because it has such a positive impact on my wellbeing and life. I used to go to a chain spa and they just couldn't keep the massage therapists I liked long enough. However, the massage therapists at the chain spa paled in comparison to what these ladies can do. I wanted to this place a couple chances before writing a review. I just had my second 60-minute massage here, and this one was as fantastic as the previous one. I like consistency and so far I found it here. I recommend medium pressure unless you want a more painful deep tissue session. I fell asleep both times because the massage was so relaxing. I get killer tightness in my neck and between shoulder blades, partly due to poor posture and exercising. The attention to the neck area was good. Despite sitting kind of hidden from the highway, the place is welcoming and clean. The service was very professional and I did not get a creepy vibe. Both people working here were very friendly. I've been going to Massage Pros for a few months for massages after heavy workouts or lots of exercise. Each time, Julia has been my massage therapist and each time has been wonderful. She really knows what she's doing and is receptive to any feedback you might have or changes you'll need to make. When I've needed more focus on aching calves or shoulders, she's been able to adjust the massage and meet my needs for that visit. It's hard for me to relax but with these massages, I find myself nearly falling asleep. It's that good. The facilities are clean and perfect for what you need, a solid massage. I loved going to this salon when I lived in the area! She is very caring and thoughtful. I always love visiting with her. She is also strong, so my sore muscles really benefitted from her touch. The only thing I'd recommend for improving is to have someone outside of the massage room to answer the phone, to not have it ring in the massage room and also for the masseuse to not leave the room during the massage to greet others. I'm unsure if this is covid-related (less employees). I'd still recommend this place to anyone in that area :) read more

I visited Julia today for help with Lower back pain. Iv been there several times last year and decided to visit again. She is absolutely amazing. She recalled my previous visits and was very welcoming. She gave me the best therapeutic massage iv ever had in a long time. She used hot stones, did stretching, walked on my back and did Chinese acupressure. Note: face mask was worn because She follows health procedures. I ended up extending my time because I really needed pain management. I'm now home relaxing and pain free. I highly recommend her if you want a real therapeutic massage that targets problem areas specifically. Parking is always easy. They are at the back of the shopping center but easy to find. read more

Judy ensures that you get the right pressure you want and in the areas that you most need it. When she finds knots, you can tell as she works to get them out. She remembers what you like and focuses there. The price is very reasonable. The customer service there is wonderful. I am able to book my massages quickly and they are flexible with their schedules. Having been to Vietnam this is much like the native salon. The lobby is a little worn but the massage room are clean and relaxing the linens are crisp and clean and the restroom is spotless. I'm glad I did not have the experience of the previous reviewer as I also had a groupon. I was a bit skeptical b/c it is in a strip mall and the place did not look that nice from the outside. It is pretty much a no frills place. The waiting room is just a place to wait until your appointment time but luckily I didn't have to wait. I had made an appointment but you may not even need to make one as there was no one else there. I got an hour hot stone massage and my therapist was pretty good but I wouldn't say she's worth it for me to drive from Arlington all the way to Sterling. Initially I was a bit worried as the room was pretty cold and she did a lot of the massage with a towel over me. She eventually did use oil and the hot stones but I think it would have been better if she had done that sooner. Overall, the place is okay if you are near the area but don't expect a nice ambiance. For me, there are other Asian massage places right next to me that are just as good and I think this place might be more expensive. read more

This business is Asian-owned and operated, which is great but it makes it very hard to communicate with the staff because they speak hardly any English. I used a Groupon ($29 after a $10 special rebate) and chose the 30-min facial and 30-min massage combo (normally $80). I also added a body scrub for an additional $20 - big mistake! The body scrubs are done in a separate "wet room" that smelled like mildew. It was gross and very awkward. There was only a clear plastic curtain separating my nakedness from the rest of the "spa" and the front door to the store was wide open! Since she and I were the only two there at the time, this worried me. When I asked the technician if she would close the front door, she said in barely understandable English, "Ah, no worry. No one here." The massage and facial, however, were pleasant (if you can get beyond their music selection) until the technician screamed at the top of her lungs someone's name. When it was all over, she left me lying on the table and didn't even close the door all the way! So I had to quickly cover myself in hopes that the door wouldn't fly open or someone peak in as they walked by! Overall it was an ok massage, but a horrible experience. If you're looking for a relaxing, spa-like retreat, you won't find it here. If there was another $29 Groupon, however, I would buy it and use it on a day that I had a migraine because the facial was very good for that. read more

DO NOT GO! Negative Five Stars if Possible, Awful customer service I have been always big supporter of small local businesses and underdogs, but this place just shocked me. I got Groupon for 30min massage and 30 min facial. First of all-no one speak on understand communicative English, not even a bit. The place was extremely cold , dark and had some kind of chemical smell that was disturbing .No warm beds, or warm anything.... The therapist didn't do any intro or checklist or even asked about my issues or concerns. Put me on bed and started massage, though it supposed to be hot stone one-there was nothing hot or stone, It was deep tissue which I personally like but I didn't asked for(technically was OK). Also the door where never completely shut and some lady was coming in and out to chat with the therapist during my session without 'sorry or excuse me' when I was naked on the table!! Facial was simply a face massage with 'who know what' products, that were never discussed with me, no scrub, cleansing or pores cleaning.
