They are not competing with the area's competitors. They know the right ways to greet customers but, it ends there. They know what to do to pull the customers in, they even have the right staff, they just don't go above and beyond to keep a customer coming back. I had a very uncomfortable experience. During my massage I felt sexually harassed and disrespected. Half way through my massage another masseuse came in the room and tried to persuade me into upgrading my massage to 90 min massage. While speaking to me she made inappropriate comments in regards to my body and started to touch me without me giving consent. This establishment is not professional. Most of masseuses cannot speak English well; therefore there is poor communication and it's difficult to communicate with them. I definitely will not be coming back to this establishment. read more

Today this place was busy. I need to kill some time and this place seemed like good idea. This place keeps popping up on my places to review list. Guess this was the right time. Upon entering the establishment, I saw they had made some changes in the massage room. I found out that they painted the walls pink and got ride of the ugly yellow walls. The bathroom was clean as can be and the staff is friendly. I have never had problems talking to anyone there. Vivian was my masseuse for today and she mixed it up between light and medium massage. I found myself at times starting to fall asleep. Since I did not get to shower this morning in order to attend the 5k race, I figured I would try the body shampoo for 20 dallors more. My skin is now so fresh and clean I feel better in my clean clothes. ............................................................................. The only thing that kept this place from getting a five star rating was the missing foot masssge, and the door to my massage room being open by a staff member...and the possibility of others guests seeing me. Frankly, it was just OK. There was not a lot of involvement from the massage therapist, and I didn't like her technique, which essentially consisted of just grabbing my skin and pulling on it. I'm not really a fan of this place and I don't think I'll go back. There are better options out there, at least in my view. Others may think differently. read more

I made a same day appointment at the new Lee Hwy location and not only were they accommodating, but it was probably one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever gotten. Went in last Thursday, to see a specific masseuse, was told she would be busy for a longg time, was pushed to see Betty. I was charged a rate of $70 fo 1 hour, even though after I left they have a sign at the intersection showing $45/hour. So up front they weren't very honest. I got in the room at 2:30pm. Got undressed and looked at the clock when I laid down was 2:35pm, masseuse came in at 2:36pm (feel like I have to look because many places like to shorten the time) Massage felt good, but at 3:15 the masseuse considered that the massage was over and began to do a long extensive hot towel clean up process. $70 for a 40 minute massage??? When I was done with the hot towel clean up it was 3:29, still with the clean didn't get my hour. When I was leaving the front desk girl asked how it was and I said too short, I told her they robbed me on time. I said the gal started the massage at 2:36pm and she said the silliest thing that I have ever heard in years of getting massages. She told me "the clock starts when you (the customer) walks into the room", not when the masseuse comes in. I have never ever heard such BS. I'm sure everyones experience is different, but they weren't honest when they took my money and they definitely didn't give me the full time. Be cautious when going here. I will not go back unless the next full hour massage is free. read more

They advertise a $45 for one hour massage. I called them to confirm the special is still on and made an appointment. When I got there they let me in one of the rooms and asked me to take off my cloths and lay on the massage table. Then the girl came in and told me it will be half an hour. I looked at her and said that's not what you advertised. She replied "we are busy it will be only half an hour". They waited until I'm in and undressed to tell me this so I would be too embarrassed to leave. Guest what, I got up, put my cloths back on and told them they are scamming people. I highly recommend this spa, as the best spa I have ever been to. On my first visit, they worked out knots that had been there for years. As a result, I have been coming back regularly for over a year. Everyone here is professional and well trained and you can count on a perfect massage every time regardless of masseuse. Beyond the amazing service, the spa is very clean and tastefully decorated. You will always feel comfortable here. I have had a bad back and neck for years. So bad that I needed daily Advil to keep me relatively mobile. With that kind of an issue, I have been trying various spas for years looking for a great place to go regularly. My experience in Northern VA has been either scary expensive or scary in other ways. Thankfully, Comfort Spot is neither, and instead is an oasis in Northern VA. My first great massage was 30 years ago at a Japanese shiatsu place in Manhattan, which awakened me to Zen culture, eventually taking me to Japan. After returning and mostly living outside of NYC, it was very hard to find practitioners who had mastered the art, including the optional and super intense backwalk, still viewed with scepticism/paranoia by many, but very effective for extreme stress in many guys and some gals. The several Chinese places I tried didn't seem to fit the bill, but this place does. Thank God for these people. If you're scared, you'll never try it and continue to carry all that tension. If you spend $40 plus a $10-20 tip for a half hour the first time and feel lighter and maybe begin avoiding a major illness, that's a much larger upside than the downside of being out $50. read more

I've been to Comfort Spot a few times in the past without problem, however my most recent experience was horrific. I called ahead of time and set up an hour massage session. I had to wait a while after I arrived, but that wasn't a problem. Once the massage started, things got weird. I was on the table head down and covered - great. Massage lady came in and started the massage. Throughout the first portion, the sheet covering me started to come off. During this time, also, the lady was using only one hand at times. Then she dropped her phone on me. I should have gotten up then... but I couldn't believe how awkward things were getting and was in a bit of disbelief. Then it was time to turn, but she had taken the sheet off of me, so I turned - completely uncovered. She then put her hands on my stomach and asked if I wanted her to work "down here". I said no, and she quickly put the sheet over my privates and worked on my arms. Now... had it not for me being a gay man, this could have turned out differently, but I'm pretty sure that this woman was looking for sex. Gross. Hope Fairfax Police shuts this place down soon! This place is horrible. The girl working at the front desk forced me to give a tip. While I was getting the deep tissue massage the Asian massage therapist put some oil on my back which I had not asked for! just to get me to pay $10 more for an oil massage. I originally went in just for the $45 massage not expecting to get played and a forced tip. At the end of the massage while I was paying the front desk the Asian girl said "give her tip?" I Got scared and she made me tip higher in front of the massage therapist. So I got robbed for $5 and the oil massage which was $12 so i got robbed for $17 in total. Their whole idea was to rob me and pay more. If I wanted the oil massage and other things I would of asked at first but they just don't get that and treated me like a brainless money machine. Please do not waste your time going there because they will make you feel like crap by not listening to you and their main objective to make money off you and rob you! read more
