A large operation with Dr. Kim. He is the one that oversees every client. There are NO appointments or reservations. You simply show up and within 10-15 minutes you are on a table. I am in the middle of treatment and looking forward to Dr. Kim solving my own issues. Keep an open mind and give Dr. Kim the opportunity to address your illness.

I never do yelp reviews but I actually want to take the time and do my first one because it's worth telling people about this place with my experience. I'm sure for some, Kim acupuncture is great, but for people that want real guidance and want a gentle service, this is NOT the place. I've been to many acupuncture places, the way he does your treatment concerns me, he does the service to what he thinks it's best, he doesn't cater to your needs and your pain level. Everyone is different and He believe more pain is working.. which is false! There is different type of way in acupuncture and his way is only one way - rough. He stuck the needle so far in my sciatica pain I had to scream, then he calls me sensitive. I gave it a try and went back the next TWO session after he claims it was normal... my symptoms are WORST.. I can't walk anymore... my pain was worst than I arrive. Don't let him bullshit you that you're suppose to feel worst before you get better. After I told him where he stuck the needle hurts, he still does it at the same spot After you have warm him! In fact he does it even harder and thinks it's working. Acupuncture suppose to be relaxing, what he did to me he over treated me. I punctured my nerve and said everyone who has sciatica he does the same, WRONG! Everyone is different! He is suppose to treat everyone differently! This place is not legit, the fact that I've been to many acupuncture places - he doesn't explain anything to you at all, he just sticks needle in, nor he spends more than 5 mins to really get to know your pain level. Example is when I went to Yedam. Dr Chong at Yedam was taking notes when I was telling him about my symptoms, then he advised what are the ways to treat it and he goes over with you on what would be comfortable for you. That's the right way!

Timing is everything and I truly believe everything happens for a reason. I didn't know what to expect at all. All I knew is that I was sick and tired of going to doctors, paying a stupid co-pay for them to NOT do anything or give suggestions on care after a Baker's Cyst. The problem with traditional doctors, I believe, is they don't want to tell you how to be proactive because they want you to keep coming back. I found out (through no proactive help of my doctors) that my Baker's Cyst was caused by a mild case of arthritis in my knee. It was slowing down my healing and I was having problems walking and forget about working out (jogging, zumba) because I was in so much pain. After the first painless (and I mean painless) visit to AOM, I felt a positive shift in my body. I could walk up and down my stairs with less pain. The next day I went out for my usual 2 mile walk and felt energized. My recovery has been progressing quite well. I drive 2 - 3 hours a night for work and usually am in such pain afterwards. Not anymore. I honestly don't know how acupuncture works, I just know that it works for me. I went to AOM and was truly impressed with first of all, Mr Rim's humbleness in regards to the MANY and I mean MANY diploma and certificates on his wall. He's a smarty pants. Mr Rim instantly puts you at ease and explains everything in a way that YOU can understand. As a trainer, I can appreciate that skill. AOM clinic is sterile, well organized and is growing. I am excited to see what the future holds at his clinic because he is about healing the mind, body and spirit. Mr Rim, Kamsahamnida!

But let me start from the beginning and I will update the stars and the comments once I talk to him tomorrow Monday. First when I called to make our appointment--my daughter's and I, Dr. Shao did not even take our names and just said to come Friday at 10am. Then when we got there he looked like he was expecting us even though he didn't know our names. The front office tidy, a feeling of a one man show. Then he called us, gave us paperwork to fill out and put my daughter and I in two different rooms. We detailed our reasons for being there and said that our main problem was Allergies. He was very sweet and read our palms explained what they meant and then put all the needles in. Some of them hurt a lot. He came and checked on us about 3 times adjusting needles then removing them and then we were ready to go about one hour later. The price was $80 per person and he said the next appointments which he said should be about four more times, would be $75. I have paid much less than that with other Acupuncturists, but decided that if he knew what he was doing, it was worth the money. He also gave us some pills to take three times a day for free. That same day late afternoon I started feeling lots of phlegm down my throat and a light headache but I was not stuffy. My daughter was feeling a constant phlegm behind her nose and throat and developed a huge cough the very next day; she still feels really sick. We called the doctor and we both have no fever or any CORONA VIRUS symptoms so please don't over react. My point here is that in my previous experiences with acupuncture, if the Acupuncturists knew what they were doing, I got better immediately the same day and did not have to return for another session until the next year. So I have been getting like a boost each year to balance my body. My two previous Acupuncturists were amazing but one moved his practice somewhere else unknown to me and the last one has terminal cancer and his office is now closed. So I will return to this post after I speak to Dr. Shao on Monday and find out what we can do next to feel better. Will update soon!!! 3/8/2020

I am so grateful that I found this place and also that they are in-network with my insurance. The entire experience was just that, an experience. From the use of sound healing modalities, to strategic needling, and cupping, my body feels so much better right now. Dr. Kim is amazing. Juliana is equally amazing. They took their time and were extremely thorough with not only their assessment, but also the treatment. I have never had acupuncture quite like that before. The cupping was not fire cupping, which I am accustomed to, but it was still incredible. I cannot wait to come back. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who values traditional medicine and understands how incredibly important and beneficial it is to overall health. I am very excited to work with Dr. Kim and Juliana to get my health all the way together in 2023. Also, they get major bonus points for their text and reminder system.
