8/19/19 After leaving Nancy's Barbershop&Spa,…read more I headed to Puspa Day Spa to get wax done by professionals as the Nancy Barbershop associate told me to do. I met the owner (Puspa Khanal) and her associate (Bhawana Metformin) sitting and talking. I saw the owner getting some henna body art done. Seeing that the henna body art going on Puspa hands arms and feet, I had nothing but time on my hands. This is the first Indian spa I have ever been to, but it had a nice feel to the place. After some time Puspa showed me the waxing room. The waxing chair has had a lot of use, but was the most relaxing chair/tables I have ever been on. I was asked if I wanted to get my legs waxed too. After thinking about for a few seconds, I went with their offer. For five dallors more I was given the option of getting my armpits waxed too. Normally I shave them, but not today. Both Puspa and Bhawana left the room and I took my clothes off to hang them up. I did not have a towel to cover my manhood, but these ladies see naked people every day, well maybe not a handsome stud like myself, but close. I believe Bhawana was the first to open the door and close it. I heard her cackling like a schoolgirl. The song I'm Too Sexy started playing in my head....no,...not really... I started looking around for something to cover my genitals, when Puspa brought in a hand towel. Guess Bhawana is not use to male nudity. I was asked why I was naked and I thought that was a dumb question, but oh well. I explained I am getting my full legs waxed; as well, as my full arms and armpits. I am not going to get wax on my new clothes. The waxing procedure went by quickly since both Puspa and Bhawana were waxing me at the same time. Very rarely have I been waxed by two people and have found it to be less effective than one person doing it. The whole process I felt was rushed and if I come back for another round, I will request just one lady. Both Puspa and Bhawana did a decent job, but too much leftover wax was found on my body. Again I feel one person doing the waxing would have been better. I spent a good amount of time scratching the wax off of me. The waxing clean up are just as import as the removal of the hair. I have seen small patches of hair that was missed. Mishaps happen and I am sure Madame Puspa can redeem herself. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars. I will be back to try out the massage and waxing again. Puspa Day Spa is a charming place as is Madame Puspa. $80 bucks for full legs, full arms and Armpits is great.

I wish I could give this business owner a zero star rating. She is very greedy for money and does…read morenot care about the customer. I was referred to a friend who is doing a full body for $2k. I drove an hour and twenty minutes to get there. She gave me a $2400 same package for full body laser removal, with at least 6 sessions that my friend received. Then I offered her $2000 and reminded her of my friend's name who referred us, but she wasn't loyal to the prize we referenced. Even though we offered her $1k upfront and $1k later, she refused. She wanted $2400 this time, but later agreed to pay $2200 and per session using a credit card. Although today's appointment is the first sitting appointment, there were unexpected things that occurred. I called her to reschedule and she said tomorrow's is fine. However, she mentioned that the face is not covered in the full body, so it will be separate. I reminded her about our deal and she said I forgot to mention it last time. She started arguing and demanded cash payments of $2200, which reminded me that it wasn't what we talked about and the deal. Be aware of these kinds of owners. Since laser hair removal is a common procedure, it's possible that they can cause more harm to your body than good. Luckily, she refused and showed her greediness. Otherwise, I would have been messed up or sick by her unprofessional behavior.

I actually stopped going to Heather for a year or so because it was difficult to set up appointments with her since I worked in DC. However, now that my schedule is a little more flexible, I switched back to getting waxes by Heather. I'm really glad that I did because she's super sweet and deserves the business. I recently came in to get my arms, legs, and a Brazilian wax done and time flew by so fast because of our conversation. I didn't feel uncomfortable at any point during the waxing session (all of this came out to $170). Prices are extremely reasonable in my opinion. I used to go to one of the waxing chains in Ashburn, and I can definitely tell you that service + price at Voda Spa is way more deserving of my business. Heather also does facials :) I really hope to get a facial done by her sometime soon too. They sounded awesome when I asked her about them, and the fact they all include extractions to get all that gunky stuff out of your skin sounds appealing. In summary, reasonable prices, cozy environment, and excellent customer service. P.S. Weekends can be super hard to book with Heather, so if you need weekend appointments, book them at least 3 weeks in advance. Also, the door to enter Voda Spa is on the side of the building. There's a door outside that says "Voda Spa." Heather includes those directions when you get your appointment confirmation, but including this tip anyways in case someone forgets to read that portion :)

I came into VQ NAIL SPA and was quickly greeted with a warm welcome. I came in for a manicure and eyebrow waxing and eventually stayed and got a pedicure also. I did not have an appointment, but figured I'd take my chances walking in on a Sunday afternoon. They were very accommodating and helped me right away. The spa was super clean and all the tools used were in a sterile package. The overall environment was very quiet and relaxing. I could have fallen asleep in their high tech massage chairs! Lynn did an amazing job as I was very happy with my manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow waxing. She got the shape of my eyebrows perfect without looking to girly. She also was super gentle with my finger and toe nails even though I am super ticklish! I will definitely be going back here. They are quick here, too, but don't rush you and do a great job. I highly recommend VQ to anyone looking to be pampered! read more

I love VQ Nail Spa! I cannot say enough about the level of service & quality. I was a notorious Salon jumper. However, I will not go anywhere else now. Lynn is so friendly & her experience in nail & customer service is obvious. She always goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Sometimes it is as simple as adjusting the temperature if you are not comfortable or offering something to drink. She made such an impression that, months later, my friend from Portland, OR still comments on how great her experience was when she came to visit. Hi everyone i want to rell everyone pls go to VQ NAILS AND SPA is number one place i have ever been ! My nail lady is Vi is so professional, so meticulous and so sweet. Owner Lynn is very nice, customer service is wonderful. They have a happy hour wine, soda etc. The place is so clean that it's been open for 2 years looks like just opened, spotless. They give a boutique service and care for each person. Also pruces are great. I had a gel manicure and a regular spa pedicure for only 55 dollars which is a bargain. And the service is wonderful. So relaxing and so peacefull. Its not hectic factory like places like every corner you can see. Also the owner says everybody speaks English not Vietnamese cause we are in America and we need to respect to people who dont spean our language! Yes, it is cheaper too, you get more then what you pay for. All i can say the most clean, friendly and beatiful place i have ever been for my nails. Ms Vi is the best nail artist, massage therapist. I am addicted to go to her cause she takes her time and never rush you and makes a great nail job. Owner lady is such a nice woman. She is so clean and professional. My daughter and I decided to treat ourselves to a mani-pedi today. I have passed VQ Nails Spa several times but this was the first time I went in. I'm SO glad we did! This was by far the BEST experience I have ever had at a nail salon in the area. When we first sat down, I was offered water, soda or wine and my daughter was offered water or soda. Danny is very nice and he did a wonderful job on my nails. My daughter is 9 and they spent a lot of time on her pedicure and manicure making it perfect, even touching up around the edges when her nails were drying. Lynn is awesome. She not only gives top-notch service, but she's quite a character. I'm taught her the pledge of allegiance as she did my toes. And, we laughed the entire time. I highly recommend this salon. It's clean, affordable and the technicians are very charming. Update - I went today for my first ever Brazilian wax and Lynn is a great waxer. I have been going to VQ Nails for several months now. The first time I walked in and every time since I am struck by how clean the spa is as well as the lack of any chemical odors. The surroundings are very peaceful and the chairs are very comfortable. I always have Lynn do both my manicures and pedicures. She does an excellent job. I absolutely love this nail salon. I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years and this is by far the cleanest and most professional place I've gone to. Not only can you enjoy a glass of wine while you have a pedicure but I was really impressed with how clean they keep everything, even for pedicures they have a plastic bag surrounding the bowl to ensure cleanliness. VQ is one of the best places I've found in HERNDON, STERLING. I go and get my nails done here 3 times and the people here are always so friendly and welcoming. I am very particular about my nails and they ways get it on point every time! I'm very pleased with the service and it is extremely clean "sanitary tools" and which is why I go back. I got a dip manicure, and she took her time, was incredibly thorough, and made sure everything looked perfect. There was no point of the French pedicure if the white part is thin. I came back but the next day was a holiday so they were closed. The next day I came back again in the evening. The lady in the front told me to come back in an hour at 7:15pm and she said she'll take care of it. I came back and sat down. The lady saw me and did not say anything. I sat there for 30 minutes, she just totally ignored me. I had enough and left. Not coming back. I don't recommend this place. Just awful. What's the point of having me come back at 7:15pm? I just wasted my time. If they didn't have time to take me, she should have said so instead of letting me drive back and forth and to wait 30 minutes for nothing. I normally don't wait more than 15 minutes but I was trying. Definitely a 1 star. Wish I can give a rating of 0

Disappointing & Unprofessional Service…read more I had a very frustrating experience at this nail salon. I went in requesting only removal of my existing gel nails -- no manicure, no additional services. They asked me to wait about 10 minutes, which I did. Then another technician walked in and asked what I wanted done. When I repeated that I only needed gel removal, she abruptly said she could not do it because there was another appointment. What made this even more upsetting is that after leaving, I returned about 10 minutes later after running a quick errand, and there was no new customer or appointment in the salon. If gel removal is not a service you offer, that should be clearly stated upfront -- not after making customers wait and then turning them away with misleading explanations. This felt dismissive, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. I will not be returning.
