Worst experience here... the quality of nails was so bad that they started coming off within a week. I felt my money being wasted.

Overall I was impressed the ladies who did the pedicures for myself and my husband were lovely. My husband kept talking their ears off but they were very sweet and chatted with him. They were super delicate even as they were scraping the dry skin from my foot, I've had experiences as other places where they cut my foot. The pedicure chairs were super nice, too. It wasn't super busy while we were there so they let us hang out in the chairs until my toes dried. I will certainly be back again, I can see why this place was recommended by other yelpers. read more

I went to VQ nails before my trip to get a gel manicure. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the entire experience. I called at 6:30pm to ask if I came in at 7pm, would they be able to take me. She said yes but hurry. I got there at 7 and the women working with me kept emphasizing she wants to go home early. Keep in mind they close at 8pm which is why I called before to make sure it wouldn't be an issue. After being told multiple times she wanted to go home I could already tell she was going to rush. Which she did. To be fair I did have some gel left over which was extremely difficult to remove. However, she didn't even let them sit in the nail polish remover for long enough. Only a few minutes before she started removing them. My nails were bumpy and all scratched up because of this. You could feel her frustration with the whole situation which rushed me to pick a color I didn't like because I didn't feel comfortable. The color also required 3 coats and she only did 2 making them look see through and not smooth. It doesn't look like I got a gel manicure, it looks like I did my nails my self with regular nail polish. Lastly, I only asked for color and not a full manicure, meaning not cleaning or anything. She charged me 30$ for the whole thing. The price of a full manicure. I left at 7:50pm, 10 minutes before they close and you could tell how frustrated she was she didn't get to leave early. My nails chipped immediately after, they aren't smooth, they are bumpy, and look like absolute crap. Very disappointed and not worth the price I paid! read more

Lynn is THE best in town! Unbeatable service and prices. I get a combo of gel mani, pedi, and eyebrow waxing whenever I go. She always takes her time and is accommodating when I call to make an appointment. Also, if you're like me and shove your feet in pizza shoes and suffer from what feels like an ingrown toenail, she's your gal! She takes care of it every time I get a pedicure (anIf you are respectful, she will return it in spades- and she has a great sense of humor! Highly recommend Lynn and VQ nails. Update w/ Covid: upon walking in, Lynn has scrubbed the place top to bottom, making it sparkling clean! The mens pedicure&manicure is $45 Massage is $80 for an hour. And purple is a great color on you. Little did Lin know that purple is my favorite color. I want to cry so bad! I am over here wondering if I'm crazy because they have such good reviews but my experience was not. The 2 stars is for her being sweet and the customer service but I shouldn't have walked in at 6 and left after 8 for this. This is what I got after coaching her a few times. I understand that she is experienced but that can be the problem. Techniques change... fads change. Not to be mean but sometimes the loss of eyesight make it hard to see how thick and uneven the acrylic is. With gel if you don't paint the nails fast enough the thumb can look messy because it is tilted while the others are painted. I didn't even allow her to do the second had because I didn't want to cry in front of her. I don't do anything for myself but get my nails done so all I ask is that whatever shape you do please make sure you do it the same on all 10 fingers. I can't tell she was trying to keep her composure but I had to speak up and I don't think I should feel bad for that. It's hard to depict in the pics because they don't have much color but she drilled most of the gel off and left them like this.. Edit--- sorry I just can't allow this.. down to 1 star. I've been searching for a nail salon since moving out to Herndon and I've finally found one. The entire experience has been great. This place is very clean, which is one of the first things I look for in a pedicure place. She uses plastic liners on each foot tub to ensure it's clean. I was offered wine (in evening) or water. I had a very relaxing pedicure by Lynn and We haven't talked recipes! I would absolutely return and recommend for anyone looking for good quality and good service. So I first came in for a simple pedicure October 2020, and let me tell you, I cannot go back to any other nail salon after that. Lynn is the most caring, delicate, and professional nail pro I have ever used!! She knows exactly how to get rid of ingrown toes and help your feet get back to happy and healthy. She always is so happy and funny, makes me feel so comfortable and relaxed! Also, makes my nails look fantastic which is the end goal. Lynn also always makes time for an appointment!!! Okay just like all the over reviews say, the owner is AMAZING. Absolutely charming woman who is so polite, professional, meticulous in her work, kind, friendly, and so much fun to just chat with! I normally just sit silently while someone does my nails but she stirred up a conversation and I had a blast talking to her about the local area (I'm new to the DMV). She did a wonderful job on my pedicure. She really took her time on each step. I have an injured nail and she really made it look a lot better! She also did a wonderful job on my manicure. I just got regular polish to let my nails breathe for a little and it lasted so long! No chips or anything and I'm someone who washes dishes by hand! I come here about every month with a friend and we get our pedicures. Every time I leave, my feet feel like the gods have worked on them. The work Lynn performs is amazing. My friend gets his feet done by another tech and she is awesome too! They are hilarious and always joke with us. It's such a nice relaxing place to go after work or on a Saturday morning. So far I'm a bit nervous to be frank. This is my first time to this "well reviewed nail salon" I walked in an immediately notice a strange moldy smell. Than I'm asked which color I would like for my shellac, now I am used to polish that changes color "mood polish" and to learn that they "don't do that here" is already a disappoint!! It's hard to change!! But all in all the pedicure was meticulously done, the foot massage was one of the best I received at a salon and Linh did an awesome job. Lynn is terrific! She's very friendly and remembers every visit and conversation. Her shop is tucked in between Pollo Peru and a dry cleaners. Mostly importantly, Lynn's work is excellent! We set up an appointment (definitely call ahead so you can make sure you have a spot), and when we arrived Linh was ready to take us. Shocked this place gets such good reviews. Felt rushed, it was very cold inside and I'm never cold, gel paint all over my skin, they use UV light vs LED, very rushed massage. Paid extra for "spa" pedicure and it was very basic. Definitely not worth the cost. read more

Don't come here. My husband scheduled an an appointment for me, as a day to relax from a stressful work week. The second I walked in the salon I was being yelled at but the small Asian woman who was giving a manicure to a heavy set gentleman. I told her that my husband made an appointment for me at 11:15 and her colleague, agreeing and confirming, asked if I could sit in her chair. Upset and confused I had to leave. I went with Lynn whom I first met at Angel Nail in Reston. Her sister is the owner of VQ and also gave us a warm welcome. I LOVE a nice family business! The decor is soothing and clean. All the equipment and product is brand new. My pedicure was very relaxing and skillfully executed. Next I needed my eyebrows waxed. The waxing room is like a spa room, not just a random room in the back. Again, every thing was clean, new and the service was skillful. I'm really glad I came here. Bare with me folks, this will be a long one since no one has reviewed it yet. Building: Super nice, obviously new and high quality equipment. It appears that they didn't spare any expense. Inside is small-medium, but they do have 8 pedicure chairs. The salon was previously a thrift store and it's easy to find right off of 7 next to the dry cleaners. Staff: The woman that seems to run the front is fabulous. She is super friendly and appears very genuine. She also has a great sense of humor. My favorite part was that they don't speak in another language in front of you like most salons. I never got the impression that they were talking about me. Services: I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure, total $60. They had a ton of gel choices, maybe even more than actual nail polish choices. The nail tech Danny did my sisters nails and he was FANTASTIC. I will go back to him without a doubt. The nail tech Kim, that did my nails was sub-par and I wasn't entirely happy with it. I had polish all over the sides of my nails and and she didn't ask me to take my wedding ring off before putting the wax on, but Danny asked my sister to. Danny is obviously a stellar nail tech. Any money spent here not only helps the slain but also goes to the many charitable organizations in her life. I have never felt so good about tipping someone! My pedicure was awesome as was my daughter's mani-pedi. The chairs are amazing and I don't usually enjoy massage chairs. The salon is very pretty and super clean. They use plastic liners in the pedicure bowls and gloves while working. I made an appointment, which is preferred bit not necessary. It's a small shop, personal with quality work.
