Disappointing & Unprofessional Service I had a very frustrating experience at this nail salon. I went in requesting only removal of my existing gel nails -- no manicure, no additional services. They asked me to wait about 10 minutes, which I did. Then another technician walked in and asked what I wanted done. When I repeated that I only needed gel removal, she abruptly said she could not do it because there was another appointment. What made this even more upsetting is that after leaving, I returned about 10 minutes later after running a quick errand, and there was no new customer or appointment in the salon. If gel removal is not a service you offer, that should be clearly stated upfront -- not after making customers wait and then turning them away with misleading explanations. This felt dismissive, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. I will not be returning. read more

I have been a loyal, long-time customer of this salon, but a recent experience regarding hidden fees and poor communication has unfortunately forced me to take my business elsewhere. During my last visit, I was charged an additional $7 for a heel scraper service that I really did not want. No one informed me of this extra fee beforehand. I only discovered the charge because I happened to check my bank statement while still inside the shop. Furthermore, I was not provided with a receipt, meaning I would not have even known about the upcharge had I checked my statement after leaving. As a standard practice, I always tip 20% or more. This issue is not about the $7 itself, but rather the principle of honesty and upfront communication with loyal clients. Toni is an excellent, highly skilled nail technician who provides wonderful service. However, the co-owner (his wife) requires significantly more practice, particularly when it comes to customer service delivery and professional communication. Regrettably, despite my appreciation for Toni's work, the lack of transparency from management means I will now be looking for a new nail salon. read more

I really like this place! I came in earlier this week as a walk in and the service was terrific! Super friendly staff, cute, but time efficient. I was in and out with a pedi in an hour. The last spa I went to took over an hour and cost $15 more for the same service. It's not as "fancy" but definitely cute and welcoming. I'll be coming back! read more

First time going to this nail salon. I have passed by it for years but given the old reviews I wasn't motivated to go. However, after a quick search today (and seeing a sign outside their establishment), I learned they are under new management. They are offering 20% off their services so I decided to give it a try. The nail salon is renovated giving it a nice aesthetic. The pedicure chairs were very comfortable! Staff was friendly and quick to seat me in despite not having an appointment. The place is clean, prices comparable for the area, wide variety of colors, and my technician, Lena, was so nice and did a great job!! Not sure why all the bad reviews. The chairs for pedicures are the nicest massage chairs I have seen at a nail salon. The pedicures are great and last a long time... splurge for the extra massage... worth it! I went to this salon for the first time with a $20 gift card given to me by one of my students. It was given to me in Dec 2019 right before Covid. Due to the pandemic restrictions, hadn't used it because I felt uncomfortable going to a nail salon. To my surprise, when it came time to pay for services, the manager said she would only honor half of my gift card. So only $10 was taken off my bill. Totally unacceptable due to the circumstances. first time getting a brazillian here, tech was very friendly however she was so horrible at her job she made my butthole bleed which has never happened with my regular technician, however she is closed on mondays and i needed an appointment for monday. when i called and asked to make an appointment they said it was $45 they charged me $65 i've never paid more that $45 for a brazillian and the lady i normally go to has never made me bleed and she's so much better at her job she's just closed on monday. do not recommend ashburn nails for waxing they're not good at their job! read more
