First of all I'm giving a bright star to Cindy. She's very nice to me and does a great job. This store seems clean and has a nice Store front presence. The absence of the other stars are for the rude customer service of this establishment. I've been coming here on and off since the 90s and have seen turnover of their staff. The woman who Manages this store is very rude. I have tried to overlook this behavior, but I cannot except this any longer. They have given us inconsistent pricing between myself and daughter. Straight up scam artist! I went in for a Pedicure, As i was looking over the price board the young lady said how may I help you and I replied I`ll have the Pedicure ($27.00 on the price board). Now I know how these places up charge you so I reiterated 27 dollars right? she said yes. So after the pedicure she charged me $50.00 at check out. so I asked why is that and she replied I got the Spa pedicure instead of the Regular pedicure. Even though I reiterated several times $27.00?....So instead of causing a seen in front of everyone I decided to pay and just right this review. This place has really gone down hill! I have gone several times and never had a problem. Today, I wasn't so lucky. I went in and requested a pedicure and eyebrow wax. The pedicure was nothing special and basic. The eyebrow wax was awful! My eyebrows are sore and extremely red and puffy. Once my toes dried I went to the cashier to pay. We did not discuss pricing before hand which was my mistake. They charged me $70 dollar for a basic pedicure and eyebrow wax. This is not including my generous $10 tip which brings my grand total to $80. This place practices highway robbery!!! I wanted to dispute the price but the female cashier looked like she was ready to argue. It almost seemed like she knew she was over charging me. Big disappointment! New to area and figured location set in middle of Ashburn Village sure it is solid for a pedicure. Wrong. Barely a welcome upon arrival to my booked appointment, was rushed through and didn't even last a week! Will not return. read more

Better for pedicure than manicure. They're friendly people, but way too rushed and aggressive with manicures. Picture attached of how my nail tech dug into my skin with the cuticle cutter until it bled. He then poured anti septic solution all over to prevent an infection, but it stung really bad and my finger is still sore two days later. I didn't complain or say anything at the salon which was my fault. There's better places in the area although they're a bit more expensive, it's worth the investment! read more

So I had a bit of a weird experience with these guys today. I walked in, a lady told me she could take me, and I sat down. She proceeds to do my manicure. A woman walked in briefly after we had begun and she asked if there was anyone free. The nail technician immediately said "Oh I can give her (meaning me) to someone else and take you." I didn't see anyone sitting at a free table, only two staffers that looked like they were managerial. I thought this was odd. Would that mean I had to wait? I hesitated and thank goodness, the woman said "no, I'll just come back." Even then the technician tried to say she could just move me and take her. Odd. The technician tells the lady to come at 6:30 and then proceeded to do my manicure at a pace that was faster than I've EVER had in my life. I guess the lady who left must give $20 tips and maybe my technician was eager to have her back!!! I thought "Ok that was weird, surely the woman had an appointment with her." So I knowingly said "oh did she have an appointment? I feel bad if I took her place" The technician very nonchalantly says "No! Just a walk in! :)" A bit miffed, but still wanting to give her the benefit of the doubt, I said "oh, is she a regular?" The technician says "No, well yeah, I guess you could call her that." So clearly this wasn't a situation where the technician should have EVER been telling her that she'd just make me move and take her instead. Who does that?? Anyway, during the my lightning-fast manicure, the technician cut down too deeply into my cuticle and it hurt. I also noticed that a bit of blood showed. When I mentioned it a bit later, she said "oh no it's just red." Also, at one point when she was distracted, she was filing my thumb nail so quickly that it resulted in it going way further down than i wanted, almost to the quick. It is still uncomfortable hours later! Later, when I pointed out that alcohol burned the spot on my cuticle to prove it definitely was a cut, she was nonchalant and gave some random excuse. I also had to point out a messy spot on my nail that she'd missed, but she did fix it. Still, if she hadn't been going so fast maybe she'd not have made the mistake. The chatting was also weird. One or two times I was doing mental gymnastics trying to figure out if she was being snarky or if we were just having lost in translation issues, but she seemed to speak English just fine. Still, I like to give the benefit of the doubt. So I dunno. My manicures are normally easy and relaxing with generally polite conversation. My technician today was nice enough, but it wasn't a great experience. The manicure was not the best, but fairly neat, and the price $29 for my gel manicure wasn't bad. I only gave the technician a $3 tip because of her behaviour, so if she had any stereotypes that could have made her behave that way in the first place, I guess she thinks they're justified. Oh well. ;-) Overall, this salon isn't bad but I'd only use them in a bind. read more

Ive tried this salon 3 times. Each time has been progressively worse. Ive used different techs for eyebrows, pedicures and gel manicures and i am always disappointed. Sloppy polish job and an attitude when you make a request. Always rushed. I wont be going back again. read more

Absolutely the worst nail salon ever!!! Yesterday, a guy did my pedicure and manicure (horrible job btw)... While doing my manicure one of his clients walks in to get pedicure and he immediately switches me over to another girl so HE could attend to his client. He moved my purse, phone and shoes to another station and told me to move there in the middle of my manicure!!! Extremely unprofessional and rude!! Aw, I'm sad to see all the negative experiences! I really like this place. I've only ever come here for pedicures...and not complex ones...but they've always been really kind to me. They make pleasant conversation and make an effort to really connect with their regulars. They were especially nice to me during my pregnancy - always offering me water and to help me in and out of the chair with my big ol' belly :) ha! I've always felt comfortable here, never felt bad for having super sensitive feet, haha. And, the pedicures have always lasted for a REALLY long time! read more

Wow! Do not go here!!! I walked in and ordered a delux pedi with gel polish ($50). I sat down and they asked me to clarify which pedicure I wanted and I physically pointed out my selection using gel polish from the menu because they weren't understanding me. After I was already soaking hey proceed to tell me it will be $50 PLUS a $27 UPCHARGE for the use of gel polish!!!! (Really? For 10 little toenails) What the heck!!! I was already in the water and the poor girl providing my service didn't speak English but was following orders... so rather than leave I just did regular polish. They have poor customer service and are rude, I went there because all of the other places I normally go to were booked. I asked for gel acrylics, they gave me that but they didn't push back my cuticles. For my color I showed the girl a photo and she gave me a different color, I asked for green and she gave me blue. read more

Always get great service at a reasonable price. I'm not one of those who is looking for extreme pampering...just simply want to get my nails done. Quality work, fast...just the way I like it. Awful experience today! I have been coming here for a few months to get gel manicures and pedicures. Well I came in last Thursday and got a gel manicure and by Wednesday one had chipped and two peeled off. Ok so I go in Wednesday and they fix them, then Thursday another one peels off and I go in again (at that visit they said come back if anything else happens because they are guaranteed 2 weeks) Then ANOTHER one comes off today (Friday). I am pissed. I don't have time to go in 3 times in one week to get my nails repaired. That is why I pay for gel so they stay looking good for 2-3 weeks. RUDE!!! I went in yesterday for a gel manicure. They told me to pick a color and sat me down. After she filed my nails and what not she grabbed the nail dryers and was about to start painting. I Immediately stopped her and asked why she wasn't putting the tips on... Then another women rushed over and yelled "what's wrong?!" And I said this isn't what I asked for and she starts yelling "oh my god she already cut the cuticle omg omg you didn't tell her to put on fake nail" She could have just apologized for the confusion... Then they ask me to move to a different station and a man comes up and says "you didn't tell me you wanted a fake nail" Like what?! It was so rude and I felt so uncomfortable. I didn't want to argue so I continued with the service. A different nail technician sits down in front of me and doesn't even say hi or ask me how I am, she just says "so you didn't tell her you wanted a fake nail" I was so angry and uncomfortable at his point I wanted to leave. I didn't understand why this was such a big deal. I've been through this before where I asked for Gel and they tried tricking me and giving me Shellac when it is definitely not the same thing. During the service she said it would be $40 for powder gel, which I was fine with. I had a plan to tip this lady 10$ and give the other women $5 for starting me. Well turns out when I get to the front desk to pay she says the price is $50. I wasn't going to let them ruin my great day that I was having so I paid, left, and will never be back. Horrible Horrible customer service from the owner Jenny. First of all they don't even know how to do a simple manicure. Second of all they are so RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The nail polish was old and it took forever to dry. I messed all my nails up and I went back to get my nails fixed. Jenny (the owner) told me it was my fault. I have been going to Ashburn Nails every 3 weeks since 2000. If that doesn't tell you how satisfied I am I don't know what will. But for the first time in my life I had to call the cops on a customer who was trying to leave the store without paying. There was a woman who showed up and spent THREE hours at the salon. When it came time to pay she had gave $10 toward the $50 tab and then provided a gift card for which was declined....twice. She claimed it was brand new and she didn't understand WHY they were refusing to take it (interesting point of view since it was DECLINED). She then proceeded to shout and berate the woman because her card wasn't going through. They asked her for another credit card and she said she didn't have one. They asked her to call someone, like her mom, who could bring her payment. She said she would go to the bank and come back and pay. They asked her to leave her drivers license or her phone to ensure that she came back. She said she didn't have her phone. She expected these people to just take it on faith that she would come back which is outrageous. This went on for 15 minutes. Her refusing to do anything toward resolving the situation. Finally I decided to call the police. Once I got on the phone with the Sheriff's department she SUDDENLY produces another credit card (which she originally said she didn't have). She screamed that she would be posting online how terribly SHE was treated. So today I wanted to come out and see if she had and make sure that everyone knows that some reviewers are not being truthful when they post bad comments. Some people can try to rewrite history if they want to but I WAS THERE. I know what you did and shame on you for making it seem like they wronged you. I hope the Sheriff's Department finds out about your scamming before you try to rip off any other hardworking people. Readers beware. read more
