The salon is clean, the location is very convenient, (big parking lot and close to several stores) and technicians are highly skilled, friendly, and professional. Update- I filled out the text survey following our mani pedi and was told to call and it will be fixed. I called and explained what I needed to be fixed. The woman- i think she's the owner was very kind and patient. She explained that the nail polish is intentionally not painted to the cuticle because it doesn't last as long and will peel or chip. From my personal experience this happens only when the cuticle is flooded with polish. I told her i would like it painted to the cuticle and the other areas that I wasn't happy with. All of these items were addressed and resolved. I support this business as they will deliver a quality nail service- as a client it is up to me to let them know when it doesn't turn out to my expectations. The prices are competitive for this area which is higher than my comfort level. I wanted to love this place but it was only meant to be like. My nails were ragged, sharp, and uneven and they addressed this. I could have done the same job at home and saved the $200 for the mani pedi. The pricing was also confusing but this is typical of nail salons tracking in addition hidden fees. Glitter was added instead of a sparkle polish originally, which ended up uneven and the nail polish didn't meet the cuticle giving look of grown out nails. I'm glad i made the effort to get it fixed and happy to update the review to better than one star. Pictures show quality - disappointing initial visit to a happier result the next day. The people who work here are kind, service is friendly. The owner/manager is the best part- and if you are patient, honest with kindness the results will be positive. I have been visiting Nail garden and spa for a year now. From the moment I walk in, the atmosphere is always calm and relaxing. I cannot speak enough about my nail salonist, Leyna. She is very attentive and friendly. She never rushes through the process and ensures that if an error is made it's duly corrected even without me mentioning it. They are often willing to accommodate at short notice. In May of 2022, the Nail Garden Spa has been sold from Mai, Mina and Tony and is now under new ownership. We arrived for our appointments (simultaneously) at 12pm and left promptly at 3pm. I couldn't believe how long service took, I'll cut them a break as they are new but they said they previously owned salons and have been open at this location for 3 weeks. I've been going to this salon for two years and have gotten fills and pedicures regularly. Unfortunately, for one of us, they tried to boil her feet as I watched her feet turn red as they were unable to control the temperature of the water. The bowl overflowed, which was unfortunate for new equipment, but they did not move her to another and the water remained scalding. Her pedicure (full, not polish change) lasted an entire 5 minutes, ok, maybe 7 minutes and was pronounced complete without any leg massage, foot massage, care to cuticles or buffing of callouses on the feet. Meanwhile, my pedicure went the full 20 minutes and was complete with massage. Each paid the full price of $35. Then, my fill by a different practitioner, took two hours to complete. She first took off my gel polish and then replaced it 'drying' it in the gel polish UV light. I thought it was gel polish. Only one round of clear after polish and a gem being added. Three days later, it started to peel which alerted me to the error of using non-gel polish. Gems lasted 1 week with insufficient clear over top. I wish them well in their endeavor, however I will not be returning. read more

This place is bad, nails don't last. They don't properly buff or prep nails prior to services. I think this is the reason why they are so slow... I wish they would take more trainings to be up to date with the new trends and processes when it comes to nails. Not worth it and money spent for no reason. They only give you a punch card if you pay cash, which makes no sense for us clients because what if you really don't want to withdraw money? I don't like how they do business here. read more

My mom and I came here before a wedding. My mom's nail polish washed off the same night while she was doing dishes. Like completely. My gel manicure barely lasted 10 days. For the price, this is not good enough quality. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My sister and I came in for a Full set and a fill in & left disappointed. Before sitting down I asked for Acrylic set with Gel polish the nail tech convinced me to go with Dip powder because it was "better" and would look natural. The nails were shaped and weren't buffed out leaving them lumpy. They also didn't clean up around my cuticles and dip was on the sides of my nails. They didn't clean the nails properly leaving them with hair and dust under my top coat. I paid $70 dollars to leave the salon like this!!! (Look at pictures). We came back in the next day. Before coming back in we have the salon a call and asked for REFUND which they stated they could not because it's comes out of there pay. I asked for the owner they kept saying "we fix" or we just stared at each other and they acted as if they had no idea what I was saying to them. I did sit back down an allowed them to "fix" because it was my sisters birthday week!!! I wanted them to take them off and start over (which they didn't) because the shape was off and they just kept refiling my nails leaving them even more croquet. read more

Little did I know I would be spending 2 1/2 hours at a nail appointment to get the worst looking full set that I have ever gotten in my life. I first sat down and was belittled for biting my nails. I then showed her a picture of the design I wanted and she said that it was possible. And then showed me that she had no idea had to do such design by messing up continuously and whenever I would point out her mistakes, she would get extremely frustrated and would sigh, or would say some thing out of frustration. She had a bad attitude and did not know how to keep a positive mindset. In the end there was no good result. My nails look awful and I paid $62 for something that I could've taught a five-year-old to do. When I brought up wanting a refund they were saying that it is not possible, because they felt like their time was wasted. I Really Loved this shop when Cici was there. I went in last Tuesday 5/2/17 and the shop was rearranged. I asked the lady there where Cici was and l was told she was on vacation and will return in a week. That should've been my que to leave. The new owner rushed to do my filling and it looked terrible. When l asked her when Cici was coming back for the second time, she told me in 3 weeks . Less than a week later, a nail came off and my acrylic started to chip. Got a standard pedicure and gel manicure two days ago (Sunday and today is Tuesday). I should have known by an empty salon to turn away but I stayed. I paid $65 which seems expensive for the area. I went to another salon two weeks ago and got a top of the line pedicure (had calus remover 10 min massage and paraffin) and gel manicure for LESS money. The cherry on top, the gel on my nails from this place is already chipping after two days, will not return. I am a busy person which is why I do a gel manicure. I could go a little longer if I need to. Does an excellent job with shaping my nails. Mai will apply the polish to one nail and ask if I like the color I selected. Very personable. I've gotten my nails done at Nail Garden several times over the past few months, so this review is not based on a one-off experience. From the outside, it's an unassuming, standard nail salon in a small shopping center with a Papa Johns and a convenient store. Inside, the shop is clean and well appointed. The pedicure chairs are comfy and the basins are silver glitter which I thought pretty. The technicians are very friendly and professional. They take their time and give extra attention to perfecting your nails or toes. Every time I've been, regardless of how many other customers are there, it's been a very relaxing, pleasant experience. Well...last 1.5 years or so has been challenging for everyone, for consumers as well as businesses. I get it! I purchased a gift certificate for my husband to get a pedi done here. And before he could get it done, the pandemic happened! Now that things are better, we both decided to go back to Nail Garden Spa to pamper ourselves with a mani and pedi, and hopefully use the gift certificate that expired during the period we were staying home and dealing with the pandemic. They refused to honor it. I get it, it is expired but wasn't our business worth redeeming? The expired certificate would have been 1/4th the amount we would have spent. I will not go back to them. Went about 8 years ago, to Nail Garden Spa in Ashburn, and swore I wouldn't go back. Back then the technician had no idea what he was doing and the salon was dirty. I reluctantly went back today and it hasn't improved too much. Today's technician was nice but didn't do a thorough job. A "basic" pedicure was $32 for a soak, sub-par nail prep, and about five minutes of rubbing (not messaging) lotion into my calf. Prior to applying the nail polish, I had to request that the technician remove all of the prior nail color and clean-up my cuticles before paint my nails. Worse than the nice - but seemingly untrained nail tech - this place is in desperate need of a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. Given the numerous choices for nail salons in Ashburn, I'd recommend skipping this one and trying an alternative one nearby. read more

There was no wait, and the gentleman that did my nails was very nice and did a fantastic job considering what he had to work with. Minuses: Cece was distracted and walked away in the middle of my mani several times. She clipped my cuticle 3 times, drawing blood.
