I stopped by Grace nails salon based on a recommendation. The staff are really nice and the service is fantastic. I got a French dip manicure and classic pedicure. My nails came out perfect. They have DND nail polish which I love. The space is clean and there is plenty of parking. This place is well managed and I can see leadership cares about meeting customers needs. read more

Stopped by for a spa pedicure. Vibe is fine. Quiet, clean, and friendly. The heel on both feet were not scrubbed at all. It was rushed no paraffin or scrubs. I think I was given a regular pedicure but charged for a spa pedicure. read more

I will not be returning to this salon, as I am still dealing with physical discomfort as a result of a pedicure I received in March. As a result of this pedicure that one of the men working their did, I have two big ingrown toe nails and large open cracks in the back corner of both heels. Since then, my heels have been a tremendous source of pain. My toe nails will need to be addressed by a podiatrist as will the cracked wounds in my heels. I have not even gotten a pedicure anywhere since this one, because I'm fearful for injuring my feet again. I have done many pedicures before, and this has never happened prior to this occurrence. read more

The hair salon next door to this salon was recommended to me (don't go!) and didn't open on time so I decided a pedicure would use up some time and maybe they would be open when I got done. I walked in and was taken care of immediately by a very nice woman who spoke excellent English and gave a great pedicure. I would absolutely go back if I was in the area (we live out of state). Also, the price was right, $28. Lyly was the one who did my pedicure. The salon was very clean and prepackaged instruments were used. read more

The three most important aspects of a mani-pedi for me are making my cuticles look nice (other wise it's just a polish change), the massage... and for feet- getting my calluses off. The woman who did my mani & pedi did a very nice job on my cuticles, she was meticulous and took her time (I was there for 1.5hr). The massage however, was practically nothing, I mean like 1 minute per limb, soooo disappointed! So I have really mixed feelings. The other issue is that their nail polish is either old or watered down so that literally the next day every nail has chipped!! I wish I could fix it at home but I don't have the same color. I would highly suggest that they buy new polish so that customers will have the benefit of their shiny new $15 mani lasting more than 12 hours. (I've noticed that when nail polish is new- and the base coat as well, it can last about 7 days) Bottom line: not special enough to go out of your way for, but if you happen to be in the area it's worth a shot read more

I tried unsuccessfully for 3 MONTHS to get a Groupon appointment. With it expiring in 2 days, I finally just called Groupon and had my money refunded. I called several times and they never had availability. Then they just simply stopped answering the phone. I've left 3 messages in the last 2 weeks requesting a callback and never received one. I finally got someone to answer today and when I asked to make a Groupon appt. they told me to call back in 30 minutes. Really? I called Groupon instead and was informed that they've already told Grace Nails that they had to honor the Groupon past the expiration because they've had so many complaints. No thanks - I'll just take my money and go elsewhere. read more

I love this place and I'll go out of my way to go here. They are the cleanest salon around, with nice decor, new massage chairs, free n/a beverages, wifi, TVs set to stuff ppl actually like (cooking channel often times) and best part.... They're prices are fantastic! ($25 pedi, anyone?) I've never waited more than a few minutes and even that's rare. I seriously will not go anywhere else now. I desperately needed to get my nails done before heading on vacation. Of course I wait last minute. I got to Grace's Nails (which is right next to my house) at 7:40PM. Knowing they close at 8 I took a chance. They were SO nice and didn't fuss at all about me walking in last minute on a Friday night. They greeted me really nicely, helped me pick a color and got going. The lady was very friendly. She asked if I wanted something to drink as she got started. She did my nails super fast, but did such a great job! She asked again if I wanted a beverage half way through. Super sweet. Then she helped me with my things and situated me at the dryers. This might be the cleanest nail salon I've been to in a while. They recently changed management and I think it really helped! She even gave me a calendar as a parting gift. My sister and I recently went to get our nails done at Grace Nails. It was my sister's prom the following day and we had a Groupon so she got a mani/pedi but I just got a pedicure. I had the male nail tech (I don't remember his name) and he was HILARIOUS. He absolutely knew what he was doing as well because he took his time massaging my feet and legs and my nails still look fabulous. Two people offered us a drink when we first sat down which was nice because several salons I've been to, I haven't been offered a beverage at all so it was nice to have people so attentive. The prices were great, I will absolutely go back and get my nails done again. My only complaint was they don't take cash for tips so I had to write 2 seperate checks for tips for my nail tech and my sister's nail tech because I NEVER carry cash. That was a bit of an inconvience but overall, it was a wonderfule experience and since it was my first time going there, I was very happy. My sisters nails, by the way, looked fabulous for prom and still look great which is a good because she's going to another schools prom in a few days and they still haven't chipped!! :) Thanks Grace Nails! read more

They're under new ownership and they're fantastic. I had my nails done in french tips with gel for both my hands and feet. I got the full treatment of massage and everything. The massage was very relaxing and felt good on my legs and feet. After they did my toes, they moved onto my hands. They did my nails very well and even massaged my hand and arm after. They clearly care about customers and do quality work. They also gave me drinks and snacks! Also, upon leaving they gave me a planner/calendar with coupons in it! Definitely recommend. Don't be discouraged by the previous posts because those were under old owners. read more

I got a groupon for a spa pedicure and a classic manicure. I waited for about an hour but only because I didn't make an appointment ahead of time. However, The new manager did advise me I would have to wait a little and then took care of me herself. The spa pedicure was great! My cuticles were trimmed nicely, they used sea salt followed by warm towels (that were warm enough not to burn your legs like at other spas!) The massage on my feet and lower legs was also good and long enough. I brought in my own OPI but they have a nice variety of colors. read more

I went in for their $28 pedicure on a quiet Monday afternoon without an appointment and don't have any complaints. The chairs are comfy, the salt scrub massage was one of the best I've had. The salon is very clean and they use prepackaged, sterilized tools. Their towels are nice and clean. They're very prompt and courteous. The price is good for what I'm used to, but I've never had a pedicure done in this area. Tips are preferred in cash. read more

Visited this salon today for the first time and had a great experience. They had a nice selection of colors, nice decor, clean facility, friendly staff, and did a great job with the gel manicure. It's likely I'll come back again! 4/4- went today with my mom and had a much different experience. By the time they were ready to do her pedicure mine was already finished and her water was cold. The girl didn't realize this and just continued. A bit disappointed. read more

Great nail salon. 8 pedicure stations and 10 nail stations. Everyone is friendly and they do a good job. Most of the time an appointment is not necessary but, to be safe, I make one. Saturday is their really busy day so make certain to make an appointment if you plan on stopping by on Saturday. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because parking can be a problem in this shopping center. read more

Grace Nails has apparently gone under new ownership and it appeared to be pretty nice. Since I lived close, I decided to give it a try. Off the bat, it was a fine experience, with fast service, and they did a decent job on my gel-manicure. My one complaint is the owner/manager/employee, I'm not sure what his role was, decided to light up a cigarette in the middle of the salon for a display. While he was not smoking it, the fumes still came off the lit cigarette from the display. While he was nice to ask me if it bothered me after seeing my perplexing look, it has a foul odor and is unsanitary and not good for your health. I told him it was fine as I did not want to offend one's potential customs, but I also did not feel it was right for him to light a cigarette in an indoor place. Most states, you can't even smoke unless it's a designated area and I do not feel a nail salon was the proper place. While I certainly did not appreciate the odor, my lungs also disliked the second hand smoke. Nice manicure, but strange experience. Honestly, not sure if I would go back. read more

I love this nail salon. They're prices are reasonable and the staff is always super kind. I've been to a ton of salons and cleanliness is the biggest factor for me outside of a good mani, and Grace's is clean and professional. My boyfriend got me a spa mani/pedi for Christmas and it might have been the most relaxing experience in my life. This is one of a very short list of nail salons I will even consider going to. I read some of the previous review about Groupon trouble. I had some as well but was informed that so many people bought Groupons they were having trouble booking them all and taking walk ins as well. They extended the date I could use my Groupon though so I could use it before it expired. read more

I sat down and had normal nail polish already on my nails, and felt a little weird when she immediately started literally scraping it off until she realized it came off easy and wasnt gel. Maybe I should have mentioned that it wasnt gel, but I assumed she would know or ask? Maybe that is just their normal process of removing any polish? I dont know. But I do know that I was terrified that my nails would be ruined. But, I'm glad I stayed because that was the only bad thing through the whole visit. My nails looked pretty nice, especially for the price! Definitely one of the cheapest places in the area, but you cant tell by the outcome of the nails. They also lasted much longer than any other gel manicure that I've gotten. I will definitely be back - but I will make sure to have naked nails when I arrive. read more

Only problem with it is that one of my acrylic nails is crooked, which is slowly driving me nuts. I didnt notice until I had left and was looking at my nails, so I wasn't able to ask them to fix it. The lady seemed like she was distracted so she wasn't fully focused on my nails ; other than that, it was an alright experience. I actually stopped going to Heather for a year or so because it was difficult to set up appointments with her since I worked in DC. However, now that my schedule is a little more flexible, I switched back to getting waxes by Heather. I'm really glad that I did because she's super sweet and deserves the business. I recently came in to get my arms, legs, and a Brazilian wax done and time flew by so fast because of our conversation. I didn't feel uncomfortable at any point during the waxing session (all of this came out to $170). Prices are extremely reasonable in my opinion. I used to go to one of the waxing chains in Ashburn, and I can definitely tell you that service + price at Voda Spa is way more deserving of my business. Heather also does facials :) I really hope to get a facial done by her sometime soon too. They sounded awesome when I asked her about them, and the fact they all include extractions to get all that gunky stuff out of your skin sounds appealing. In summary, reasonable prices, cozy environment, and excellent customer service. P.S. Weekends can be super hard to book with Heather, so if you need weekend appointments, book them at least 3 weeks in advance. Also, the door to enter Voda Spa is on the side of the building. There's a door outside that says "Voda Spa." Heather includes those directions when you get your appointment confirmation, but including this tip anyways in case someone forgets to read that portion :)

I wish yelp came out with a negative scale bc these people sure deserve it. To sum up this place in one word the only thing that comes to mind is SCAM!!!! Like nearly every comment on this wall mine has to do with my groupon. I made the mistake of purchasing a mani/pedi deal from this place and was refused service! I called for 1month (at least 6 times) and they were either not there or kept giving me the run around about using my groupon. No one ever returned any of my calls and the front desk person was the rudest nastiest most unprofessional creature Ive ever come across! She kept arguing with me and telling me that i shouldn't have waited till the last minute to use my groupon. I wouldn't consider a month in advance "last minute". I work for one of the most prestigious well known cosmetic dentists in the world and HIS schedule isn't completely booked for a solid month! I'm having trouble believing that a 1 star mom and pop nail shop in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere VA is booked solid for months in advance! Anyways, She then proceeds to tell me that she has 400 other groupon holders in line before me. At this point i asked her why they would sell a product or service if they dont have the manpower or resources to back it up. Of course she got snappy and copped an attitude. People who usually feel stupid about a question and dont have a legit answer react this way. I emailed groupon and luckily they offered to reimburse me the money in the form of a groupon credit. I let them know that I strongly feel like this place is running some sort of scam to get people in their salon using groupon as a rolodex. They sell all these groupons with no intent to actually provide the services they are claiming. They want the groupons to expire so people are forced to use the amount as credit towards regularly priced services. This is called a GIFT CERTIFICATE not a coupon! I'm thoroughly disgusted by this place and i cant imagine giving them a dime. I dont know why anyone would go here after reading any of these reviews This place should definitely be investigated for their shady business tactics and unlawful usage of companies like groupon. Went to get a mani/pedi today and absolutely loved this salon! When I first walked in I immediately noticed how bright and warm the place was and the amount of color choices they had on the wall. I was quickly greeted, chose my color and then was immediately taken to get my toes done. The lady who did my toes was amazing! She took her time to make sure they looked perfect! It has been a bit since I have been able to get my nails done so she had her work cut out for her but I could not have asked for anything better! The massage she gave was amazing as well! She massaged my calf, my feet, and my toes, I could have easily fallen asleep in the chair it felt so good! Once my toes were done I was off to get my manicure done. Since it has been awhile I decided to try something new and get the gel nails that everyone has been talking about and I must say this was the best decision ever! Again the lady took her time making sure my nails looked perfect! I got french tips and she put polish on both hands twice to make sure they were all even and the same width! Once she was done polishing my nails and they had dried (FYI gel nails dry super fast; perfect for someone on the go) she gave me a hand and arm massage as well! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! My fingers and toes look wonderful and I will go back soon! I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants to be pampered! I recently got my spa pedicure and gel manicure done here for the past 3 weeks and have been happy with everyone I've seen so far. Each time I go in, they greeted me promptly. The salon is SUPER clean! They will perform their jobs with different nails tool kit in a sterilization pack on each client. The nail technician took EXCELLENT care in massaging my feet that I almost fell asleep, while I enjoy the massage chair and watching TV. The BEST part, after one of the nail tech. sat me down, a young girl would come up with a small tray in her hands greet me politely and ask if i want any drink or candy. They serve FREE DRINKS (coke, pepsi, sprite, water) and many choices of CANDIES! They always give out free gift when i pay. I've received a calendar and lotions. To be honest, I was kind of worried at my first time here after I read all of the past reviews. BUT after I saw the big banner " UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" I thought I should give it a try since it is very close to where i live. I went here for a gel refill and a regular pedicure and Van did them both. First, she was super rude. She asked me who did my eye brows because they are too thin. Second, when I asked for rounded nails, she said no because I will look like an old lady.... When she was doing my french pedicure she was making the white part SO thick and when I asked if she can make it thinner she got upset and said it looks ugly. Not only that, the nail polish started peeling/cracking 5 days later. I paid $33! My gel refill that I went there for, she made me remove them all even though it was in perfect condition for a refill and then I got an overlay which said $35 on their website. She painted it so messy and charged me $58!!!!! ($48 for an overlay not even tips - this is just the gel over your natural nail plus $10 to remove). The whole experience was awful. The NEW owners are amazing! So friendly! Loved this new store! It is clean, tidy, and very welcoming. Best manicure I've had in a while! My lady paid a lot of attention to the details while doing my nails, and my design was just what I wanted! My eyebrow wax was also great. Every time I have ever gotten an eyebrow wax, my skin turns bright red and I can't go anywhere for about 18 hours after because my face is still so red. At Grace Nails, however, I had a completely different experience. The owner told me that my skin had actually tuned red because whoever did my eyebrows used wax that was dangerously hot, burning my skin. This time, my skin didn't even turn pink, and the process was virtually painless. Amazing! Never going back to my old place again! I gave this place 4 stars because i think they did a great job on my nails and my other friend Kelly. Even thou 2 different person worked on me and i had to wait a little because i didn't make my appointment. But i saw a funny thing today at grace nails. There were 3 women were there, very stuck up,They refused to have the men work on their feet and got really angry because they made an appointment at 2 and ended up has to wait, and at the time there are no woman available to work on all three of them at the same time. Well if they just let the men work on them, they would of been out of there and not have to wait! Duh!!! Which causing a lot of back up for other customers. Van is very kind. I felt very pampered. The whole salon is like a hidden gem in the strip - you wouldn't expect from the surroundings to walk in and be in such a pristine environment! I recommend going here. Tip in cash only. I called in to make an appointment and (I had never been there before) I actually got there 30 min earlier than planned. Van was still able to take me right away. I will say, if you are picky, be specific about exactly what you want done and you'll appreciate the outcome. This place is great! I've noticed some negative reviews, and that was not my experience at all. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, and apparently they're under new management, so I'm glad I waited until yesterday. The salon is immaculate, the people who work there are friendly and excellent at what they do, and their prices are competitive. The woman who did my mani-pedi was Cindy, and even though I never make appointments for mani-pedis, I would actually schedule something next time to get her again. So I went to the hair salon next to Grace Nails because they were having an open house. At one point, I decided to go get a pedicure, manicure and brows done. This new management is the best! All of the nail technicians are super nice, friendly and sweet. They serve free beverages and chocolates. Free gifts too! Nina was the one who did my nails. She's funny, warm personality. The first time visiting (back in August), there was a little bit of miscommunication between the front desk and I about what service I requested when I went in during the week. It was a little hard to communicate, and I felt a little rushed to make a decision about my nail color. However, they have multiple comprehensive books with examples to help visualize gel or dip options. I was ambivalent about the quality of my nails this experience because of the price and kindness of my nail tech were relatively positive. In October, my sister and I had a great experience! The vibe inside is very serene and inviting. The decorations are cute, the options for gel and acrylics were laid out well, and the chairs and stations are very sanitary. Le (my nail tech) was very meticulous and careful with my nails. I let her know it was my first time getting acrylics for my birthday (but I had gotten many manicures before) and she made sure to check in with me about whether or not I liked them before moving onto next steps. She was also a great conversationalist with a great heart! My sister's nail tech in October was also super nice and accommodating as well. Her design was a little more intricate and was executed nicely. In December, both my sister and I's experience was not one I would recommend. Granted, it was a little busier; however, I called and made an appointment a week in advance. We both came in with Christmas inspiration pictures with simpler designs and specifics, which were not executed well. I asked for a more matte red with a silver ring finger nail (like the picture) with a square shape and was once again rushed to sit in a chair instead of being able to look for the color I wanted. I asked for help and the nail tech brought me a couple of options. She showed me a few that weren't close to what I was looking for, but, honestly, most of the polishes on display looked old and sticky, so I picked a red that wasn't really what I wanted. I also asked for a sparkly silver (and showed her the picture) and she initially brought out a silver with gold iridescent sparkles instead of silver iridescent sparkles (and was clumpy). I asked if there was another option and she showed me one that had silver chunky sparkles, which I liked (but didn't realize was just a top coat since she didn't show me on my nails). The manicure itself was okay, she did a clean job with my cuticles and buffed my nails. However, she filed my nails unevenly and the water to soak my nails in was very cold. My sister also had a similar experience where her nail tech didn't execute the color or shape well on her acrylics. She got nail glue on the side of her nails and her acrylics were crooked as well. Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming here on a Saturday or over the weekend when the place is busier, but I would recommend going during the week and with a nail tech with good reviews. The prices here are relatively reasonable and the environment is very sanitary and clean.
