So i have been on a search for a good nail tech in this area and i seem to be having no luck in doing so. So my first visit i took a photo of what i want and asked them to make my nails pointed. However as you see that did not happen (which i was okay with) the person who did my nails was not able to make a spiderweb so she has one of the younger girls do it. Even tho it did not come out close to photo i was okay with my nails. So i decided to come back. 3weeks later, I come back and this time i picked two colors and ask again for my nails to be pointed. (He spoke almost no english and did not acknowledge what I was asking) I began to say again make it pointed he shakes his head as if he got it and yet my nails did not end in pointed. Then the following day (less than 2days) the nail polish starts to peel off. (This never happen to me before) some nails are peeling and some nails the paint looks like it bobbled. I will not be returning to this salon, as I am still dealing with physical discomfort as a result of a pedicure I received in March. As a result of this pedicure that one of the men working their did, I have two big ingrown toe nails and large open cracks in the back corner of both heels. Since then, my heels have been a tremendous source of pain. My toe nails will need to be addressed by a podiatrist as will the cracked wounds in my heels. I have not even gotten a pedicure anywhere since this one, because I'm fearful for injuring my feet again. I have done many pedicures before, and this has never happened prior to this occurrence. read more

This was the 1st nail shop I have tried since moving to the area from Alexandria. What drew me to this salon was that it is very close to my job and the combo prices i saw on their website. Despite the reviews, I decided to give it a try since I thought I'd at least be getting a good deal and wouldn't need to make an appointment or go out of my way. I got a pedi & almond shaped gel nails with 2 designs on each hand. The pedi was fine, pretty much as expected. I showed them a picture of what I wanted on my hands, not really expecting them to nail it but maybe do something similar. They said they could do something close and I was fine with that. The shape is perfect, the nail tech really took his time to make sure of that. I was glad because I hate bumpy thick claw looking nails. But then when it came to the design, I wasn't as happy. It doesn't really look anything like the picture. They showed me a design that they could do and it was pretty, but the design the nail tech did didn't really end up looking like what they showed me. And the color was off I was going for more brown/beige. I probably should have said something but I figured I should just appreciate their work since I thought they don't charge as much as surrounding nail salons. I guess maybe the website prices are outdated because they charged me $91. I feel like for that price I should be in love with my nails. My old nail tech back in Alexandria charged around the same, but my nails would look amazing, with rhinestones and gems any kind of design I wanted and withstood all the cleaning and cooking I do. I was kind of bummed to pay extra for designs that weren't what I wanted or even what they said they could do, but I didn't speak up either. I guess the deciding factor of going back would be how long they hold up, they feel strong so we will see. If I do go back I'll probably ask about prices beforehand and not ask for anything too detailed. 3 stars for the pedi and perfect almond shape. read more

Went to Grace Nails Salon on saturday with my mom and best friend for her birthday. The salon itself it very clean and well kept. We all were getting pedicures and manicures. We walked in and were greeted, asked to pick out our color choices and all 3 of us were seated together for our pedicure. As soon as we sat down we were offered beverages and candy (nice little perk!). The nail tech's were all so nice and accommodating! They even turned on the World Cup soccer game for me ( big plus!!). The overall experience was wonderful and we plan to return! The salon only takes tips in cash which is pretty common in this area for nail salons but they do take credit cards to pay for the actual service. The three most important aspects of a mani-pedi for me are making my cuticles look nice (other wise it's just a polish change), the massage... and for feet- getting my calluses off. The woman who did my mani & pedi did a very nice job on my cuticles, she was meticulous and took her time (I was there for 1.5hr). The massage however, was practically nothing, I mean like 1 minute per limb, soooo disappointed! So I have really mixed feelings. The other issue is that their nail polish is either old or watered down so that literally the next day every nail has chipped!! I wish I could fix it at home but I don't have the same color. I would highly suggest that they buy new polish so that customers will have the benefit of their shiny new $15 mani lasting more than 12 hours. (I've noticed that when nail polish is new- and the base coat as well, it can last about 7 days) Bottom line: not special enough to go out of your way for, but if you happen to be in the area it's worth a shot read more

I tried unsuccessfully for 3 MONTHS to get a Groupon appointment. With it expiring in 2 days, I finally just called Groupon and had my money refunded. I called several times and they never had availability. Then they just simply stopped answering the phone. I've left 3 messages in the last 2 weeks requesting a callback and never received one. I finally got someone to answer today and when I asked to make a Groupon appt. they told me to call back in 30 minutes. Really? I called Groupon instead and was informed that they've already told Grace Nails that they had to honor the Groupon past the expiration because they've had so many complaints. The hair salon next door to this salon was recommended to me (don't go!) and didn't open on time so I decided a pedicure would use up some time and maybe they would be open when I got done. I walked in and was taken care of immediately by a very nice woman who spoke excellent English and gave a great pedicure. I would absolutely go back if I was in the area (we live out of state). They are the cleanest salon around, with nice decor, new massage chairs, free n/a beverages, wifi, TVs set to stuff ppl actually like (cooking channel often times) and best part.... I desperately needed to get my nails done before heading on vacation. Of course I wait last minute. I got to Grace's Nails (which is right next to my house) at 7:40PM. Knowing they close at 8 I took a chance. They were SO nice and didn't fuss at all about me walking in last minute on a Friday night. They greeted me really nicely, helped me pick a color and got going. The lady was very friendly. She asked if I wanted something to drink as she got started. She did my nails super fast, but did such a great job! She asked again if I wanted a beverage half way through. Super sweet. Then she helped me with my things and situated me at the dryers. This might be the cleanest nail salon I've been to in a while. They recently changed management and I think it really helped! She even gave me a calendar as a parting gift. My sister and I recently went to get our nails done at Grace Nails. It was my sister's prom the following day and we had a Groupon so she got a mani/pedi but I just got a pedicure. I had the male nail tech (I don't remember his name) and he was HILARIOUS. He absolutely knew what he was doing as well because he took his time massaging my feet and legs and my nails still look fabulous. Two people offered us a drink when we first sat down which was nice because several salons I've been to, I haven't been offered a beverage at all so it was nice to have people so attentive. The prices were great, I will absolutely go back and get my nails done again. My only complaint was they don't take cash for tips so I had to write 2 seperate checks for tips for my nail tech and my sister's nail tech because I NEVER carry cash. That was a bit of an inconvience but overall, it was a wonderfule experience and since it was my first time going there, I was very happy. They're under new ownership and they're fantastic. I had my nails done in french tips with gel for both my hands and feet. I got the full treatment of massage and everything. The massage was very relaxing and felt good on my legs and feet. After they did my toes, they moved onto my hands. They did my nails very well and even massaged my hand and arm after. They clearly care about customers and do quality work. They also gave me drinks and snacks! Also, upon leaving they gave me a planner/calendar with coupons in it! Definitely recommend. However, The new manager did advise me I would have to wait a little and then took care of me herself. The spa pedicure was great! My cuticles were trimmed nicely, they used sea salt followed by warm towels (that were warm enough not to burn your legs like at other spas!) Great nail salon. 8 pedicure stations and 10 nail stations. Everyone is friendly and they do a good job. Most of the time an appointment is not necessary but, to be safe, I make one. Saturday is their really busy day so make certain to make an appointment if you plan on stopping by on Saturday. Grace Nails has apparently gone under new ownership and it appeared to be pretty nice. Since I lived close, I decided to give it a try. Off the bat, it was a fine experience, with fast service, and they did a decent job on my gel-manicure. My one complaint is the owner/manager/employee, I'm not sure what his role was, decided to light up a cigarette in the middle of the salon for a display. While he was not smoking it, the fumes still came off the lit cigarette from the display. While he was nice to ask me if it bothered me after seeing my perplexing look, it has a foul odor and is unsanitary and not good for your health. I told him it was fine as I did not want to offend one's potential customs, but I also did not feel it was right for him to light a cigarette in an indoor place. Most states, you can't even smoke unless it's a designated area and I do not feel a nail salon was the proper place. While I certainly did not appreciate the odor, my lungs also disliked the second hand smoke. Nice manicure, but strange experience. Honestly, not sure if I would go back. read more

I sat down and had normal nail polish already on my nails, and felt a little weird when she immediately started literally scraping it off until she realized it came off easy and wasnt gel. Maybe I should have mentioned that it wasnt gel, but I assumed she would know or ask? Maybe that is just their normal process of removing any polish? I dont know. But I do know that I was terrified that my nails would be ruined. But, I'm glad I stayed because that was the only bad thing through the whole visit.
