She and I had a trail so we could get it right on the day of my wedding. She did a wonderful job. I am 64 and it was important that she did my make up so it did not make me look older. When she was finished it looked very natural. I had her put my hair up and she put a few flowers in it and it looked elegant. At first I wasn't very happy with the color eyeshadow because it was too mauve(ish) and seemed a little too mature for what I was going for. She was super great about it and worked with me to find a color that was better suited. I've had my makeup done a lot and sometimes artists take it really personally when you say you don't like something. This was not the case at all. I also had photos done for something else and the photographer used Ryan as a makeup artist. Ryan was super friendly and easy to get along with. She also did an awesome job with my makeup. On the actual wedding day, Kathy was punctual and very patient with my bridesmaids. She had done my sister's makeup first and then redid it completely over when my sister got really emotional (happy tears!) and cried away all her makeup. I was so happy with my makeup. I used the airbrush which is amazing even though I was a little apprehensive about it at first. I didn't have the cakey look that so many brides have and the coloring was just amazing. I'll try to attach a picture... I highly recommend them both!

I have never felt more beautiful than when Marquia tells me to hop off her chair and take a look in the mirror. Like today, when I literally couldn't stop gawking at how she took me from Zombie extra in a remake of Michael Jackson's Thriller to a pretty little PR princess! One thing I love about Marquia is her energy and enthusiasm. She is sweet and gracious, and really gets pumped about making her clients look their best. She is engaged and takes into consideration what you want, while transforming that look into something that works for your features. Her infectious smile keeps me calm and soothes me no matter how stressed I am about whatever event it is I'm going to. She is also extremely punctual, and always arrives early, ready to set up and then sit down with you first, before starting. She'll discuss everything from your skin type to how you react after makeup is applied - greasy quickly/break out/redness - and from there, she tailors her approach and what she uses to eliminate those issues and help you put your best face forward. If I could give her a sixth star, I would have, because she is absolutely the most talented makeup artist in the DMV. I've even proposed that she move in with me... I hope she says yes!

As someone who rarely wears makeup, I've always hated getting my makeup professionally done for weddings because it never felt like me. Bianca completely changed that. She really listens to what you want and enhances your natural beauty rather than making you look like someone else. I felt like the best version of myself. She did makeup for every member of my bridal party, and every single person said it was the best they had ever looked and felt for a wedding. Not one bridesmaid was unhappy--which anyone who's been in a wedding knows is nearly impossible! I truly had never felt more beautiful or confident than I did on my wedding day. I also used Bianca for facials leading up to the wedding, and she gave me amazing skincare advice that had my skin looking its absolute best for the big day. The hairstylist she recommended was also incredible, and together they made the entire getting-ready experience so smooth. Beyond her talent, Bianca is just someone you want around on your wedding morning. She has such a calming, fun, positive energy that made the whole morning even more enjoyable. I absolutely loved working with Meredith for my wedding. I visited Meredith in her studio for my…read moretrial run, and she walked me through each portion of the makeup application to inform me about the different products and usages. I found this enormously helpful, as I typically do not wear much more than light foundation, eye shadow, blush and mascara. Meredith asked me questions throughout the trial application and truly listened to my responses, even dialing back a bit on some color where she realized I was a little uncomfortable. I left her studio beaming and feeling pretty fabulous, and went home with a little gift bag of goodies to try out on my own. A few days following the trial run, Meredith emailed me the photos she took of the makeup, along with a list of products and suggestions. I cannot overstate how useful this was, and still is, especially for a makeup "newbie" like myself! Meredith also walked me through wearing false eyelashes, about which I was at first a little nervous. She even provided advice on what type of products and brands would work best on my skin. This had nothing to do with my bridal makeup -- Meredith just truly loves her profession. On my wedding day, Meredith and her assistant Laura arrived promptly and quickly set up, even placing the stools so that we could enjoy the view from the hotel window. It's the little things that Meredith does, like that, that make her such a fantastic vendor to work with. Meredith and Laura were flexible in quickly adjusting to our timeline, as all the ladies were also having their hair done simultaneously. They were both friendly, professional, and everyone (2 moms, 3 bridesmaids and 1 bride - yours truly!) was thrilled with their individual results. The makeup was gorgeous - you can see it here from our photographer's sneak peeks -- and this was with a whoooole lot of humidity! [http://www.amandamcmahonblog.com/maryland-wedding-photographer-carolyn-and-dave-sneak-peeks/] Meredith also gave each of us a gift bag, and each was matched to our exact products (lip, cheeks, foundation, etc). Again, it's the small, seemingly insignificant things that make such a huge difference in working with Meredith. I was so grateful to have my lip color at hand for quick reapplication throughout the night. I could not recommend Meredith more for bridal makeup. She is professional, kind, and above all, fantastically talented at makeup. Thank you Meredith, for being such an important part of my wedding day!

Her and her stylist Jill expertly prepped 9 girls' hair and got us all ready in time for the wedding! Everyone's hair looked seriously fantastic, and thankfully I didn't look farther from a colonial.
