I was looking for an Make Up artist fror my wedding day and found Connie on the www. I arrived at her place for a trial. She was super sweet and knowledgable about make up. My makeup looked flawless. We have our wedding in early June, 2017 and have hired Connie as my HMUA. She did the hair and makeup for me, three bridesmaids, and two mothers, with some help of her assistant. I choose Face and Crown for my wedding to do my hair, my two bridesmaid's hair, my mom's hair, and my mother-in-laws hair. I couldn't have picked a better, more understanding vendor. First, Connie started by asking me to send her photos of the makeup and hair style that I wanted and giving me the contact of the other clients so she could work with them and understand their unique needs. Connie came to my home to evaluate my skin and hair and tryout the style I selected. She looked at my "wishlist" and then built a custom recommendation that captured the same look and flair but looked good with my features and face type. The result was amazing, making me look and feel like a princess. She stayed through most of the event to provide touchups and she even helped the photographer capturing several images. When I messed up the timing and didn't have my two bridesmaids at the agreed hour, she instantly came up with another plan and just rolled with it. Summary: Extremely talented, serious artist, calming, professional, and flexible. I had a big, stressful Jewish-Indian wedding. Connie was my calm. Of all our wedding vendors, she was one of my favorites and certainly the one I spent the most time with and who relaxed me the most. First, I realize she is on the more expensive end, but you get what you pay for and those pictures are all we have left after the big day, so I'd say it is well worth the investment. She is a former painter, and the fact that she is an actual artist comes out in the way she works. She is focused, serious and a perfectionist. She cares about the quality of her work. She has a keen eye and is amazing with color. She is an artist. Further, she is the least annoying person ever. She is calm, quiet (unless you feel like chatting) and is very flexible. If you ask her to change or adjust something, she doesn't get defensive, but perks up to listen very carefully to what you want and then does it. My advice, think about what you want and talk to her about it in advance and at the trial, send her pictures. She listens and actually does what you want. She was almost done with my make-up and when she saw my outfits she got inspired and excited and adjusted slightly to match even better. She is passionate about her work and she is good at it. I had 3 other trials that I paid for and so wanted to work out when I was wedding planning, but they just caked it on, making me look older and not highlighting my best features. Connie is the opposite. She is great. She listens, she is good at what she does and she is really committed to the end result. Lastly, she made me look beautiful while still looking like me. I had never had a make over before as I thought that I did my own make up quite well. But I was heading back to work after being on maternity leave and thought it would be a good time to try a new look. I booked a private session with Connie Tsang. The make up studio is in her house. It is very clean and well lit. I brought the make up that I normally use. Connie reviewed my make up and educated me on what colors look best on my face given my skin tone. She then proceeded to show me how best to enhance my face, starting with a basic, quick everyday look and moving towards full make up for a night out on the town. She did half my face and had me do the other half. Connie was very patient and spent as much time as I needed throughout the process. She also wrote down all the make up that she used on my face as well as the brushes and where to buy everything. She also showed me what I could use from my own make up collection that would work with my new look. Boy, were the results amazing! My husband said that he has never seen my face look better (and he's known me for 8 years). After I left I had a few follow up questions and Connie always got back to me promptly with the answers. I was really concerned about my frizz-prone hair going crazy, not to mention my oily face, which tends to "devour" makeup. None of these happened!
