The reason I am writing this well overdue review is because I will be moving to a different state and just realized I will have to find a new hairstylist and that sent me into a SPIRAL. I have been seeing Becca since 2018 when she was at a different salon. I'd never been a "regular" with any stylist and just went wherever was open and convenient. That was until I had a stylist mix the wrong color and give me the darkest auburn hair when I asked her to match my ASH BLONDE (almost brown but I'm in denial) roots. I went to 3 other stylists that quoted me for extremely long and expensive options to try and bring back some sort of normal color. I spent maybe $700. Then I went to Becca on the recommendation of a woman in a local Facebook group (turned out to be Becca's mom) and THANK GOD. Becca looked at my hair and said "no one tried highlights?" And I just couldn't believe it could be that easy. I expected my hair to turn out something orangey and that I would need multiple round of highlights or to just shave my head and get it over with, but NOPE. I was halfway to my normal beachy blonde that same day. One more session after that and it was DONE. HIGHLIGHTS. ALL I NEEDED WAS HIGHLIGHTS. Anyway, yeah, Becca is like my comfort stylist that talks me out of giving myself bangs with kitchen junk drawer scissors - which I did anyway but she fixed them. I will probably just make the 9 hour drive every few months to visit her because it's absolutely worth it. read more

We scheduled an appointment on short notice, and Roxanne (the owner) went above and beyond to ensure we could be serviced and out of the appointment on time. Becca was amazing!!! She took the time to make my wife's hair look fantastic and fabulous. She has been a wonderful stylist for many years and it shows. All COVID-19 safety measures were followed. I saw Jillian yesterday and she removed my old set and worked on giving me a new set. I absolutely love it!! She achieved the look I've been trying to get with this first appointment. She took her time and was super meticulous. :) The last place I was going to recommended touching up once every 2 weeks and charged full price if you passed the 3 week mark. I was actually going in weekly at the last place due to lashes popping off (maybe the glue wasn't compatible with me) but Jillian assured me I shouldn't have to see her before 3 weeks and said their recommended touch up timeframe is 3-4 weeks. Really great, professional tanning experience. I wanted a spray tan for the first time and was nervous but the girls made me comfortable even when I was topless getting the tan. This salon has the best customer service! I scheduled a blow dry appointment for a blow dry on a Monday. On Sunday (a day the salon was closed) they became aware that the stylist I was scheduled with had a conflict. They went out of their way to find another stylist who could take my appointment. Jasmine who filled in is actually off on Mondays and came in for the appointment. Not only is she the nicest person the blow out was AMAZING. I cannot even tell you how many compliments I got on my hair. Prior to this I have used the salon for spray tans and every experience I have ever had at the salon is great. Reicieved incredible service at Jackson Harlow from Calypso. I went in having no idea what I can wanted and just asked her to do her thing. I have twin toddlers and needed something easy to maintain. I wanted to love this place, the people there are lovely... however I had a partial balayage last month and my hair has completely broken off/ fallen out in the places where the bleach was applied. As a result I had to go elsewhere and completely cut my hair off at chin length. As you can see from the photo it wasn't applied evenly and it was completely fried. read more

Very disappointed. I did made appt for the 50.00$ set they did ask for my credit card to reserve my appt but they never mention it was model price. I did travel for my appt to find out that the lash artist no longer work there and it was only fo models which is ok. But I only heard "I'm sorry it wasn't me" actually recepcionist didn't has no customer service. I did ask how much was a set , and I was told 250.00 didn't offer me nothing no service,but she did mention if I need a service I have to reschedule. Very sad I'm in the beauty industry I won't recommend this place. Obviously they don't want my business. inaceptable!!!! I'm sorry but no one star for this place. When I first came in Jackson Harlow I did not expect the salon to look as beautiful and professional as it did. Not only was every employee very respectful. Mia what's my lash tech. The service did not take long at all. This was my second time getting my lashes done but my first time at this location. I had a very thorough and in-depth consultation which made me feel very comfortable. The lashing process was so relaxing I fell asleep on the table. Long over due review... but I was trying to keep it a secret for a little while longer? Given the fact that I'm getting ready to move though I figured I need to give credit where credit it due. I've had lash extensions a number of times before. A couple of times in Hawaii and a couple of times while in Las Vegas. They all never lasted long and would fall out almost immediately within a week. For $300+ thats a lot of money down the tubes that fast. I found Lashes by Ricky for a trip back to Hawaii and was impressed at how well they lasted so I kept them up with refills. The prices they offer make it really reasonable and something that I have been keeping up for the past 6 months. Some sessions are better than others but it also has to do with how your lashes fall out, the seasons, etc. I'm going to miss my technician Georgie who does a great job and is always so patient. For anyone that isn't sure about getting your lashes done, you do have to follow the prescribed directions. No water the first 24 hours at least on them. Otherwise they will last a good 3-4 weeks at least. Worth the investment for looking a little more polished. Love it! read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. I've never gotten eyelash extensions before & I honestly didn't know what to expect. I went to see Kerri who I know through mutual friends. She was very helpful with answering all of my questions & making sure I felt relaxed. The process was long yet relaxing. She made sure I felt comfortable & made everything precise. Love this salon! Went in for a drastic change up from shoulder length brown hair to a short and trendy pixie cut with a color change to dark purple. Becca was my stylist and helped me navigate the exact style I wanted with how my hair texture is and all the ins and outs of a successful cut! I've been to Ricky Vox three time: First for a Demi set, second for a demi set retouch, and now a lift and tint. The first two times I had a great experience and loved the end result of long curled lashes that still looked natural. But I just got the lift and tint and it made absolutely no difference to my lashes. My lashes are still sticking straight out and are only barely curled on my left eye. They're also not any darker than when I went in. I spent $100 on nothing when I should've just spent the extra $30 for a demi set again. So for future clients, I recommend going for the lash extensions, but don't get a lift/tint. read more

When I first walked in to Ricky Vox I was warned by Lauren that eyelash extensions were addicting. She was spot on. My initial appointment went so smooth and I felt like a million bucks afterwards. I just had a spray tan done here. They were so nice and professional. Being naked in front of strangers makes me uncomfortable. But they made me feel like my friend was giving me a spray tan, not a stranger. She talked to me and gave me tips on keeping my tan. It's been an hour since I was sprayed and I can already see a difference! I highly recommend this place. You can't beat the price, qaulity, and the people! I love this place! UPDATE: Unfortunately I have to change my rating for my spray tan. I showered for the first time at 11:30am today, since I had my spray at 12:30pm yesterday. My tan has washed off in the shower. I am so happy that I listened to Vicky and decided to give lash extensions a try. I opted for the Demi set, which is basically half the lashes that are in a full set. Georgie was my technician and she was absolutely amazing. She told me everything that she was going to do and explained what she was doing during my procedure. She gave me thorough instructions for keeping my lashes looking their best in between refill appointments. Since getting my extensions I haven't had to wear any mascara or eyeliner. I've just been brushing my lashes with the tiny eyelash brush Georgie provided me with, using my eyebrow powder and applying lipgloss. I've gotten so many compliments on my lashes and my oblivious husband even noticed a difference. I am absolutely in love with my lashes and can't wait for my next appointment. All the technicians are well trained and they take appts from morning til night, 6 days a week, which has been very helpful to me with a busy schedule. The studio is clean and nicely decorated. They are expensive but do you really want a bargain shop working with your eyes? I've used Lauren & Tess and they are both so gentle that I fell asleep. I can't even believe how natural they look. I was a little hesitant at first because I had a bad experience before, but I had nothing but a great experience here!
