The reason I am writing this well overdue review is because I will be moving to a different state and just realized I will have to find a new hairstylist and that sent me into a SPIRAL. I have been seeing Becca since 2018 when she was at a different salon. I'd never been a "regular" with any stylist and just went wherever was open and convenient. That was until I had a stylist mix the wrong color and give me the darkest auburn hair when I asked her to match my ASH BLONDE (almost brown but I'm in denial) roots. I went to 3 other stylists that quoted me for extremely long and expensive options to try and bring back some sort of normal color. I spent maybe $700. Then I went to Becca on the recommendation of a woman in a local Facebook group (turned out to be Becca's mom) and THANK GOD. Becca looked at my hair and said "no one tried highlights?" And I just couldn't believe it could be that easy. I expected my hair to turn out something orangey and that I would need multiple round of highlights or to just shave my head and get it over with, but NOPE. I was halfway to my normal beachy blonde that same day. One more session after that and it was DONE. HIGHLIGHTS. ALL I NEEDED WAS HIGHLIGHTS. Anyway, yeah, Becca is like my comfort stylist that talks me out of giving myself bangs with kitchen junk drawer scissors - which I did anyway but she fixed them. I will probably just make the 9 hour drive every few months to visit her because it's absolutely worth it. read more

Highly recommend! Very accommodating and great atmosphere! We scheduled an appointment on short notice, and Roxanne (the owner) went above and beyond to ensure we could be serviced and out of the appointment on time. We also love that they provide multiple services. I got my lashes done by Keily - she's amazing! We will be returning customers, for sure! read more

Becca was amazing!!! She took the time to make my wife's hair look fantastic and fabulous. She has been a wonderful stylist for many years and it shows. All COVID-19 safety measures were followed. My wife's hair is so soft and the blonde color looks amazing. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a different look or a great stylist please see Becca. She will always advise you what will look best for you and her customer service is top notch! read more

I saw Jillian yesterday and she removed my old set and worked on giving me a new set. I absolutely love it!! She achieved the look I've been trying to get with this first appointment. She took her time and was super meticulous. :) The last place I was going to recommended touching up once every 2 weeks and charged full price if you passed the 3 week mark. I was actually going in weekly at the last place due to lashes popping off (maybe the glue wasn't compatible with me) but Jillian assured me I shouldn't have to see her before 3 weeks and said their recommended touch up timeframe is 3-4 weeks. Super happy I gave this place a try. Looking forward to only coming in once a month. I think I found my new lash home!! ^_^ read more

Really great, professional tanning experience. I wanted a spray tan for the first time and was nervous but the girls made me comfortable even when I was topless getting the tan. It was about $50 for a spray tan and I loved it. Haven't kept up with the tan so I didn't go back but if I did want one I'd go back here! Update: came here a second time a year later. Still amazing, professional service! read more

This salon has the best customer service! I scheduled a blow dry appointment for a blow dry on a Monday. On Sunday (a day the salon was closed) they became aware that the stylist I was scheduled with had a conflict. They went out of their way to find another stylist who could take my appointment. Jasmine who filled in is actually off on Mondays and came in for the appointment. Not only is she the nicest person the blow out was AMAZING. I cannot even tell you how many compliments I got on my hair. Prior to this I have used the salon for spray tans and every experience I have ever had at the salon is great. They really go above and beyond for their customers! read more

Reicieved incredible service at Jackson Harlow from Calypso. I went in having no idea what I can wanted and just asked her to do her thing. I have twin toddlers and needed something easy to maintain. I ended up with a gorgeous but playful pixie cut and she helped me pick out products to keep it looking great. I'm going to go to her from now on. read more

I wanted to love this place, the people there are lovely... however I had a partial balayage last month and my hair has completely broken off/ fallen out in the places where the bleach was applied. As a result I had to go elsewhere and completely cut my hair off at chin length. As you can see from the photo it wasn't applied evenly and it was completely fried. read more

When I first came in Jackson Harlow I did not expect the salon to look as beautiful and professional as it did. Not only was every employee very respectful. Mia what's my lash tech. The service did not take long at all. This was my second time getting my lashes done but my first time at this location. I had a very thorough and in-depth consultation which made me feel very comfortable. The lashing process was so relaxing I fell asleep on the table. Not only did she take her time but she made sure it was what I wanted. I'm so grateful to have this experience and will be coming back!! read more

Very disappointed. I did made appt for the 50.00$ set they did ask for my credit card to reserve my appt but they never mention it was model price. I did travel for my appt to find out that the lash artist no longer work there and it was only fo models which is ok. But I only heard "I'm sorry it wasn't me" actually recepcionist didn't has no customer service. I did ask how much was a set , and I was told 250.00 didn't offer me nothing no service, but she did mention if I need a service I have to reschedule. Very sad I'm in the beauty industry I won't recommend this place. Obviously they don't want my business. inaceptable!!!! I'm sorry but no one star for this place. The only reason I have to give one is to post my review. read more

Beautiful salon and super friendly staff! (Had been going to Maggie elsewhere for over a year and then followed her here). Very happy customer! read more

Haley is just amazing! I have had my eyelashes done twice and I love them! She is very professional, helpful, kind and sweet. Of course I have so many questions and she answers them all. I tried the demi set first and Haley did mention that I'll eventually want to upgrade and she was right! Now I'm loving the classic set. I highly recommend Lashes by Ricky Vox! The space is super cute and clean. read more

Long over due review... but I was trying to keep it a secret for a little while longer? Given the fact that I'm getting ready to move though I figured I need to give credit where credit it due. I've had lash extensions a number of times before. A couple of times in Hawaii and a couple of times while in Las Vegas. They all never lasted long and would fall out almost immediately within a week. For $300+ thats a lot of money down the tubes that fast. I found Lashes by Ricky for a trip back to Hawaii and was impressed at how well they lasted so I kept them up with refills. The prices they offer make it really reasonable and something that I have been keeping up for the past 6 months. Some sessions are better than others but it also has to do with how your lashes fall out, the seasons, etc. I'm going to miss my technician Georgie who does a great job and is always so patient. For anyone that isn't sure about getting your lashes done, you do have to follow the prescribed directions. No water the first 24 hours at least on them. Otherwise they will last a good 3-4 weeks at least. Worth the investment for looking a little more polished. Love it! read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. I've never gotten eyelash extensions before & I honestly didn't know what to expect. I went to see Kerri who I know through mutual friends. She was very helpful with answering all of my questions & making sure I felt relaxed. The process was long yet relaxing. She made sure I felt comfortable & made everything precise. I can't even begin to explain how good my lashes made me feel. She did an excellent job of making them more more natural for me but also making my eyes pop. I highly recommended going here, and booking with Kerri. read more

Can't say enough good things about Becca! Master of cuts, color and style. She listens to what your vision is and then just executes perfectly. And even if you're not sure about what you want she's excellent at providing suggestions and recommendations. Really hoping she never leaves NoVA because I'm not sure what I would do or go! read more

Love this salon! Went in for a drastic change up from shoulder length brown hair to a short and trendy pixie cut with a color change to dark purple. Becca was my stylist and helped me navigate the exact style I wanted with how my hair texture is and all the ins and outs of a successful cut! Becca took her time and really pulled off the best hair makeover ever. Prices were great and the salon itself its super cute. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Have been going to Becca for awhile now ,she never disappoints and is always up for a hair challenge! read more

I've been to Ricky Vox three time: First for a Demi set, second for a demi set retouch, and now a lift and tint. The first two times I had a great experience and loved the end result of long curled lashes that still looked natural. But I just got the lift and tint and it made absolutely no difference to my lashes. My lashes are still sticking straight out and are only barely curled on my left eye. They're also not any darker than when I went in. I spent $100 on nothing when I should've just spent the extra $30 for a demi set again. So for future clients, I recommend going for the lash extensions, but don't get a lift/tint. read more

For the past 5ish years I have been filling in my eyebrows due to the genetically thin hairs on my brows. Then Victoria microbladed my eyebrows and has now saved me the need to wake up early every morning to fill them in and the money spent on a monthly eyebrow pencil. The microblading process was painless and quick thanks to Victoria's expertise. She helped pick a color that would heal to match my hair and complexion. My eyebrows look so natural and amazing... now everywhere I go I get compliments and I literally save 10 minutes of my morning makeup routine! I would recommend microblading with RickyVox to anyone and everyone! #eyebrowsonfleek read more

I've had lashes done at quite a few places but there is nobody who does the quality lashes that Ricky Vix does. I had a super easy, pain/burn free experience. The office is super clean and nice, which is a huge bonus. I'm very happy with the lashes I got, and they look amazing. I recommend asking for Haley, she does a great job read more

I just had a spray tan done here. They were so nice and professional. Being naked in front of strangers makes me uncomfortable. But they made me feel like my friend was giving me a spray tan, not a stranger. She talked to me and gave me tips on keeping my tan. It's been an hour since I was sprayed and I can already see a difference! I highly recommend this place. You can't beat the price, qaulity, and the people! I love this place! UPDATE: Unfortunately I have to change my rating for my spray tan. I showered for the first time at 11:30am today, since I had my spray at 12:30pm yesterday. My tan has washed off in the shower. I'm really disappointed. When I woke up my tan was nice and I was so excited. Maybe I'm just not ment to have tan skin, I must have to be pale forever. The experience was still awesome and the ladies were fabulous! Now what to do with the tan extender lotion?? read more

When I first walked in to Ricky Vox I was warned by Lauren that eyelash extensions were addicting. She was spot on. My initial appointment went so smooth and I felt like a million bucks afterwards. Since I have hooded lids, the extensions took awhile to get used to for sure. I have now had them for almost 3 weeks and I forget that they're even there until I glimpse into a mirror. Do people need eyelash extensions? Well, no not really. They are a cosmetic enhancement but I must say you don't know what you're missing until you try them. read more

I have very thick, frizzy hair and It is very difficult to find someone who knows how to cut and style it properly. Hanneh made me feel so at ease. She took her time explaining to me how she thought it would look best and listened when I had a slightly different vision. She earned my trust with my hair and I have been coming to her exclusively for six years now. She is also a really sweet person and always asks about my kids are doing. I would recommend Hanneh to anyone! read more

I am so happy that I listened to Vicky and decided to give lash extensions a try. I opted for the Demi set, which is basically half the lashes that are in a full set. Georgie was my technician and she was absolutely amazing. She told me everything that she was going to do and explained what she was doing during my procedure. She gave me thorough instructions for keeping my lashes looking their best in between refill appointments. Since getting my extensions I haven't had to wear any mascara or eyeliner. I've just been brushing my lashes with the tiny eyelash brush Georgie provided me with, using my eyebrow powder and applying lipgloss. I've gotten so many compliments on my lashes and my oblivious husband even noticed a difference. I am absolutely in love with my lashes and can't wait for my next appointment. I may even eventually get a full set. Baby steps! :) read more

I love Becca at Jackson Harlow! She makes my short hair look great every time! She adds color, hi lights, lowlights, whatever it takes to make my gray hair look not gray. I have been complimented on my hair and how young it makes me look. The salon itself is amazing! They serve beer, wine, or water to clients, treat people really well, the salon is pretty, and they offer so many services from cuts and color to lashes, skin care, spray tanning, full body waxing.... read more

I ended up at Lashes by Ricky Vox due to a horrific experience at another salon. I came in for advice and spoke with Lauren who was so wonderful and spent a lot of time with me discussing my options. Lauren really took her time to explain the process and what I would be experiencing. I really appreciate everything Lauren did for me, she went above and beyond! read more

I am so happy to have found Georgie @ Ricky Vox. I drive 30 miles one way to have my lashes done! It is so worth it. I have been going for almost 1 year. I am lucky, as my lashes last for about 4-6 weeks and then I need a refill. I don't even need to wear mascara! I would be even happier if this location added more services! I go to another business to have my eyebrows tinted. read more

I've been getting lashes done for years and I've used a ton of lash pros in the area. This shop is the best so far. All the technicians are well trained and they take appts from morning til night, 6 days a week, which has been very helpful to me with a busy schedule. The studio is clean and nicely decorated. They are expensive but do you really want a bargain shop working with your eyes? I've used Lauren & Tess and they are both so gentle that I fell asleep. The scheduling app works really well, too. read more

I was so impressed by my lashes done by Roxanne. I did them for my wedding and I am going to continue to do them. I have received so many compliments on them! I can't even believe how natural they look. I was a little hesitant at first because I had a bad experience before, but I had nothing but a great experience here! I was in no pain and I can't even tell the eyelashes are on! They are so lightweight and soft and I didn't have any reaction to the glue. I am so happy that I am looking forward to going back! I really like that Roxanne takes pride in her work and really cares about the health of your lashes. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great set of quality lashes done professionally in a clean environment by an educated and friendly staff! read more

Booked my first appointment at Lashes by Ricky Vox and was extremely happy with my stylist Vanessa. She listed to my last experience and what I liked and didn't. I started going here in the winter and it was the first time I had lashes done. I loved them so much I decided to take the course they offer to learn to be a technician. Everyone there is so talented and focused on safety and ensuring that they provide quality work to their clients. I know many places seem like they do nice work but are really doing damage to their clients natural lashes. I love this place for their emphasis on education and dedication to great work! read more

I used to get my lashes done at a provider in DC, but when I went to Ricky Vox, it changed my life! The ambiance and service is top notch. The technician was courteous, thoughtful (my collagen pads were rubbing my eye and she replaced it immediately, always checking in to make sure I was as comfortable as possible), and the quality was amazing. My lashes have lasted almost 3 weeks now and I'm going for a refill soon. Even though it is a drive from DC, it is totally worth it! Highly recommend giving them a try. read more

I decided to have lash extensions as a present to myself for my birthday. I'm not a huge wearer of makeup, but recently had been trying out mascaras and loved the effect it gives your eyes, but I wasn't crazy about the mess of it. I chose technician Georgie, based on other yelpers reviews, and on pictures I found on their Instagram page, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. The lash salon itself was calming and beautiful, I was greeted politely in the lobby area, and although I had to wait a few minutes, there were refreshments and magazines to keep me occupied. Georgie was polite and professional, and THOROUGH. She didn't speak much while doing the application, I could tell she was concentrating. She checked to make sure I was comfy from time to time, which I absolutely was. I got the full set, and it was gorgeous. She did exactly what I wanted. They weren't super dramatic, but very noticeable, so natural looking. No clumping, she literally got every lash. It was customized to fit me perfectly! They are great!!! It has now been 3 1/2 wks, and I go in tomorrow for a touch up. They lasted pretty well, a few have fallen out, which is expected, but everyone says they still look great! Oh, that's another thing, I rcvd so many compliments! And not oh your lash extensions look nice, more like you have such beautiful lashes!! I'm hooked and you will be too! I definitely recommend this salon!!! :-) read more
