My mother and I visited Precious Nails for Mother's Day Pedicures! We upgraded to the Spa Pedicure at the recommendation of our techs. The spa pedicure was a top notch experience that we enjoyed. Our technicians were also great. Upon paying, the cashier had undercharged me. They called me a short while later to ask me to return because they had made the error. I had already left the area and asked if it was possible for them to just charge my card on file. They did so and the difference was $50. It was definitely kind of a frustrating experience. I had an appointment yesterday, and my tech was very sweet, but I had two painful cuts during my appointment and one of them is infected today. I got my nails done for a work trip where I'm going to be walking miles each day, and now I have a swollen and painful infection in my big toe where the tech cut and pulled off my skin to create an open wound on the side of my toenail, and continued to cut after I told her it hurt and that I was in pain. I'm having trouble walking with the infected toe nail so I'm not sure how I'm going to get through my trip. I was also cut on my nail and left with a bloody finger. Honestly, I'm surprised I wasn't offered a bandaid, an apology, or a discounted rate. I've gotten my nails done countless times and have never been cut, so I was really surprised to have it happen twice in one appointment. Update 5 days later: my toe was severely infected and my gel manicure is very chipped. They usually last me 2+ weeks, only because of grow out. This is the shortest it's ever lasted me, so obviously they're doing something wrong. My mani/pedi cost $82 plus tip for 2 cuts, an infection and maybe 1-2 days of decent looking nails. read more

I used to love coming here.... On Wednesday, November 24th, I had an appointment scheduled to get my nails done for Thanksgiving. We hosted Thanksgiving this year & I wanted my nails to look great. I made an appointment for dip powder on my natural nails. When the top coat was applied & she was done, I took a look and almost every nails had white powder/ bubble-like dots. (Pictured below, taken after my appointment). I mentioned it to her & she said "oh, that's just the powder". I told her the nails shouldn't look like that & she agreed with me. So, I asked if I could come in later for her to re-do them because I had to leave immediately for another appointment that day. Mind you, this service was $60. I've never spent $60 for dip anyyywhereee. So, about an hour later, on my way to my hair appointment, I call in to see if I can just get a refund because I was no longer able to come in the same day due to Thanksgiving preparation that I needed to do later that day. They say the refund is only 30% & I kindly asked if they could do more since it was $60 and ALL my nails were messed up. They offered to do it on Friday...but I needed my nails done for THANKSGIVING. So, they finally said "okay, 30% refund & we can fix it on Friday". I proceeded to compromise & I agreed. About 20 minutes later, I get a call from them saying the owner said I can get a full refund BUT, I'm no longer allowed to come back to get my nails done since "none of our techs have the skills you're looking for". How unprofessional to be shady like that. I only asked for them to fix the problem I was having. That last statement was extremely unnecessary. I was nothing but kind & patient with them. Now, they are telling me I'm no longer allowed to be serviced by them. No problem, I will find another salon. I just wanted to share to spare someone else this headache. read more

I went to this salon as the place I've been a customer for the last 4-5 years has been lately lacking. As a friend who has been a very long time customer recommended me and as business are struggling on these days I was expecting a much better first impression... the nails were beautiful but started lifting next day and I don't have kids or a do a lot at home just the normal and this never has been the case before (my nails last 4 weeks and I told Kathy).. the pedicure it was $32 and in the future I will only do my refill as it wasn't worth it (and for many years I've done pedicure every time I do nails) .. so when I called to go again only a week after I couldn't as now they are only working Wednesday- Saturday I'll give another shot but if I have to do my nails weekly or every 2 weeks then it won't work for me read more

The only downside to this is that I had chosen a specific person online, but they gave me someone else when I came into the salon. Terrible!!!! They not only superglued my nail to my cut too short nail but also to my fingers as well. They filed my nail down to almost nothing and took 2 1/2 hours to do acrylics that should take 45minutes-1 hour. They suffocated my nails with the amount of gel polish and acrylic they put on and now they are cracking off further up the nail bed then they should be and its insanely painful. read more

I arrived here at precious nails and I had booked an appointment with Lisa. When I arrived, I was greeted by all the staff. The atmosphere was calming. I've known Lisa from a previous nail salon. Lisa does an amazing job on my nails and eyebrows, explains why I followed her to her new spot. Its not only Lisa that's amazing, all staff here are very kind & generous. Worst manicure ever! I went in on Monday with my sister for a gel manicure. The owner asked two lady's to do the manicure, the lady who did mine took 15 minutes. My nails looked so bad the gel was the over my cuticles and under my nails there was so many air bubbles and the worst she didn't remove my cuticles. Do not honor appointments, unprofessional atmosphere I was extremely disappointed in my visit to Precious Nail & Spa as it is a very convenient location for me. I heard mixed reviews but decided to give it a try. I showed up 10 min early for my booked NOON appt. and there was no one there to check me in, it seemed chaotic. Finally a girl that worked there told me I would just need to wait for my appointment but never checked me in. I asked where the bathroom was and she just kind of pointed so I had to find it on my own. Around 12:05-12:10 I finally asked her what was going on as I needed to get back to work and she said "I don't know I didn't make your appointment you can ask the manager". I then had to ask who the mgr was and she pointed in a general direction. Finally I figured it out and she just said "Sorry two people didn't show up today" and turns out everyone else in the salon was annoyed or had been duped on their appts. as well. The Mgr. essentially did nothing to reconcile the situation and I ended up leaving. Not impressed. Will not go back. read more

Just got SNS powder manicure: worst ever (3 years experience with this treatment). The nail tech, Tina, clearly didn't know how to do it.

I went there alot but lately every time I go I get stuck with this older woman who cuts my nails wrong (rounds them all which causes ingrown toenail) and this time cut my cuticle and now its infected. I will not go back due to that woman. Plus they are not as good as they used to be taking the time to do more massaging of the leg and foot. read more

I found Lily....and Kathy owns the place. (Both are local to other local salons- most recently, Lansdowne). This nail salon is where you need to go for the mani/pedi combo that is not only cost effective, but delivered from a team of friendly employees who recognize and remember you. Paraffin is included in both "regular" services (not an upcharge that our friends at Lansdowne were famous for), and the entire pedicure will last at least 45 minutes. Have been there 3 times, and my pedis have lasted well over 3 weeks. Call to make an appointment if it's a weekend- they have 8 pedi chairs, but word is spreading that they're a good place to go. Avoid the "20 minute" wait that often can turn into 40 minutes at these kind of places. read more
