Absolutely the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. My daughters and I had an 11:30 AM appointment for manicures and pedicures. We even called ahead to confirm availability and were told they were ready for us. When we arrived, they seated us in the pedicure area right away, but only started working on one of my daughters. The rest of us waited over an hour, and they didn't begin our services until 12:40 PM. Once they finally started, all three technicians were speaking to each other, looking at us, and laughing, which made the entire experience extremely uncomfortable. Instead of doing our manicures at the manicure stations, they insisted on doing them in the pedicure chairs with our hands resting awkwardly on our legs. They claimed this was "normal," but it was far from comfortable or professional. After three hours and $90 each, we walked out with the worst mani/pedis we've ever had. By day 2, my polish was already peeling. Our cuticles weren't properly done, and several toenails weren't even fully covered with polish. Totally disappointed and will not return. read more

I've been here a few times for pedicures and each time I've been disappointed. Not only by the quality but by the attentiveness of the staff. Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but I like a few nice things. And pedicures are one of them. The last time was the last straw. Each time I tell them to get a little closer to cut and they don't, while other places do. I asked the attendant to cut closer and she completely ignored me. I even bent in to show and ask and she just pushed my foot away and continued on. She also didn't round out the cuts on my toenails so they currently look like the pentagon with sharp edges. They put no effort in rubbing in the treatments and the treatments pale in comparison to other salons in the area for the price you pay. This was my third time because I want to ensure one bad time isn't indicative of all people there but it was. I will not be attending again and my wife also was not happy either and we will be going elsewhere. read more

My 3 year old daughter and I came in on a Saturday afternoon for a manicure and pedicure - there was a little bit of a wait since we didn't make an appointment but we were able to grab a drink from next door and they called us back early! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!! And the salon is spacious and beautiful. I was originally coming in to refill my builder gel but my technician (Amy?) noticed it was sort of eating into my nails since I had the original builder gel for awhile (I just had a baby) so she recommended gel manicure this time so my nails has time to heal and I really appreciated this. This place is entirely too expensive for the quality of work being done. They charged $17 for an acrylic removal which I've never paid that amount at any salon for removal service. Every little service is an add on. They charged $8 for a callus removal, and the lady scrubbed for all of 10 seconds. They continue to go up on prices yet are providing the same level of service, mediocre at best . I paid a total of $124 for a REGULAR manicure, (no gel) and a gel pedicure. They need to start telling people up front the cost per service prior to doing it so folks can make an informed decision. In this economy nails and toes are the first thing that people scale back on, yet here they are increasing prices. I'll be looking for a new place! read more

Jenny is the BEST nail tech. I actually ended up following her from a different nail salon that I used to go to because she is the only one I have found that does amazing gel-X nails. Any design you can imagine she will work with you and create. The attention to detail and care she puts in is above any one else I have ever gotten my nails done with. This salon is also AMAZING. The worst service ever, if i could give them 0 star..I would. They tried to overcharge the service and reception lady and the one who did my nail actually told me different price so i had to insisted bothering asked them 2-3 times to make sure. They dont even care what customers want. Dont expect all customers are expert and know all the service name or detail. When they asked, just kindly provide them information you know or ask them if that correctly what they want. I had no idea what I normally did at nail salon I usually go so i have explained to them. They act like im too much and bothered them a lot. At the end, she did to me wrong and when I asked or told them they start yelling in their own language which is RUDE!!!!! She didnt care or consider what my nail situation was, i told her i had very unhealthy and thin nail but still, she filed my nail very hard and i had to pull my hands in then, she asked what's wrong? I think this is the worst pedicure Ive had since moving to the NOVA area. I hope other yelpers looking at reviews can see that a lot of the reviews here are fake. This is my second time coming here since the location turned over. The previous location closed so suddenly a lot of people I know wondered what happened. It was nice to see. The first time I went I got the fanciest pedicure they offered. Since their opening deal is great (30% off) I thought why not. I had a really nice lady who took her time and I was there over a hour. The color didn't last too long but I thought it was just because it was regular polish and didn't have time to go back till today. I went right in their first hour of opening today. They had a good amount of people there already. I informed them I was here for a pedicure and wanted to do gel this time around. *note* I have my three year old son with me, he sat the whole time on me and watched his iPad. Im not sure if this made a difference or not. After I was sat down this is by far the fastest pedicure I've had.. it was so rushed I think because he knew he had other customers on the other side to tend to. Nonetheless if you can't handle the customer volume, a good establishment shouldn't be afraid to either turn customers away or offer to reschedule to ensure everyone has a good experience?? I wasn't asked how short I wanted to cut, nor asked a shape. I had my feet in the water, and a quick wash wash, then oil, boom out for dry with a towel then polish on. I regret going. Worst part of this experience was as I was paying, I told the woman at the register I was unhappy with it. My toes on both sides were cut WAY too short under the natural nail area the nail should go out to. He cut the nails with a cuticle cutter, not a nail cutter which the pointed end dug into my toes on more than one time. Quite painful ... She waved the guy over who looked at it like oh , yeah no good. The lack of consideration for customers is amazing. After I told the woman my complaint she was dismissive. I literally asked her "Do you care that I am unhappy with it?" She just said oh well next time he wont do that. No sorry, nothing. I left a tip because im a decent person and understand a service was still provided but if your in the area, AVOID THIS PLACE. -The customer service is bad -The services are bad -Dont let their discount sway you, the services aunt even worth paying for with the discount. While I understand everyone has different experiences here id hope the management would do better with customers that had a sub par experience. read more

Went in to get a mani pedi on a Friday afternoon. I arrived at 3:30 and was taken right away. It took the lady 3 hours. I didn't do anything abnormal. Just a regular pedicure with regular nail polish and a gel manicure. No design, nothing special. 3 hours!!! After about a week my polish is lifting and has chipped in some places. This salon has some definite service issues. On one visit the salon was dark due to a power outage or so they said, yet the operated as if it were business as usual. Last week I got a pedicure. The nail tech did not speak a word of English. She shoved a phone in my face to use Google translate. I refused to put up with this nonsense. All of the other nail techs around her had to interrupt what they were doing to help her out, obliterating whatever peace and calm we are used to when we go to a salon to pamper ourselves. The technician was nice and friendly but the quality of this pedicure is so bad that it deserves a review. I selected the $45 Sea Breeze pedicure (not the most basic one) and paid the extra $20 for gel polish. She filed my nails but did not cut or clean my cuticles. No cuticle softener, no push back, no cutting. Was I supposed to ask? The paint job was just messy. Thanks God they are on the toes and no one really gets to look at them that close to see these large gaps in the corners that aren't covered by gel polish. I definitely WILL NOT be back. I visited this salon for the first time about two weeks ago and had a great experience overall, even though the male manager was a bit overly talkative. I liked the service enough to schedule a second appointment for the Friday before a wedding.This time, I decided to get chrome on my nails -- something I do regularly without issue. Unfortunately, the very next day, all of the chrome peeled off. I was so embarrassed, I found myself hiding my fingers during the weddingI called the salon, and they asked me to come in that Sunday to have it fixed. When I returned, the experience was extremely disappointing. My fingers had gel overlapping onto my skin, the chrome was already peeling again before I even left, and my feet were left oily and dusty from the chrome powder. The tech seemed irritated that I was back and was noticeably aggressive during the redo.Before leaving, I canceled my upcoming appointment and requested a call from the manager. When he called the next day, he offered for me to come in again. At that point, I was exhausted with the back-and-forth. I just wanted a refund so I could go somewhere else to have it fixed properly. He said he would discuss it with the owner and get back to me.When I followed up, I was told that the owner is his wife and their solution was to refund me *\$10* -- just for the chrome -- despite the fact I paid **\$127**. I explained that was unacceptable and informed him I would be leaving an honest review based on my experience. He then accused me of *threatening* him with a bad review -- which is not the case at all. I am simply sharing what happenedI had recommended this place to four family members after my first visit. Needless to say, none of them will be going now after seeing the state of my nails and the way this situation was handled. This was one of my favorite nail places (I live about 25 min away, but frequent the Wegmans in the same complex ) but since Inspire has been under new management, the service is pretty horrible. I typically get a spa pedicure (50 min for $70-85). Yesterday, I enter an almost empty shop at 5:00 and get rushed through a sub-standard plain pedi. The technician never asked what kind of pedi I wanted. She did ask if I wanted the razor used on my callouses and I said yes. That would be an extra $8. Fine with me, but she never did it (I don't think that I was charged). It was pretty clear that she wanted to move me through as quickly as possible. This was not an isolated incident, so sorry to say, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Be clear about the service that you're receiving upfront. I selected the $35 dollar pedicure package for regular nail polish and, at the register, was charged $54 dollars. I gave the tech a 20% tip based on the $35 dollar package when she walked me over to the drying station. But when I was told to pay $19 dollars more than the package that I asked for, I was shocked. They said it was because I had extra services. I wasn't asked if I wanted extra services or made me aware of such. I feel they tricked me. I started going here this summer shortly after they opened. They are a large salon with quite a variety of services. Queenie does a fantastic job with my nails. I've had gel manicures by other people and they don't last long. Queenie is the only one I will go to now. She suggested that I try a dip powder after I had a very bad broken nail that needed to be glued. I loved the dip powder as it lasts 4 weeks and keeps my nails strong. My daughter got eyelash extensions from Tracy this summer that were good. It was 30% off which is why we tried it. read more

Be aware!!! Decided to try this new nail place since my nail lady moved and I'm in search of a nail salon. I gave them my name and they waved me to the section to pick a color. After looking I told her I knew the OPI name of the color I wanted and she rudely said "we don't do names only numbers"...after I chose the color, Helen the nail tech assigned to me took me to the back to start on my pedicure. She gave me a menu to choose what type of pedicure I wanted and I told her just the regular one- cost listed $32. She didn't force anything on me and I appreciated that. I was looking forward to sitting in those massage chairs and just relaxing, however each time I tuned on the chair for a back massage it worked for 5 seconds and then turned off. I asked Helen if I was doing something wrong and she told me it wasn't working, for me to keep on pressing ON when it turned off! Hmm every 5 seconds?! I gave up on that. Helen did a great job. She took her time and I was thinking maybe the poor interaction in the lobby was a one off and if I came next time I would verify I had a working chair. I was willing to come back but then came time to pay. Helen approached a gentleman, I suppose told him the price and he told me to come to the front and quoted me $60!!! I asked why $60 when I clearly chose the $32 pedicure. He said $25 to take out the gel i had and $3 for the extra time she took on one nail. I expressed I wasn't expecting this price and then he quickly said they are having 20% off so $48. Was this suppose to make things better? I felt ripped off and mislead. If you are going to charge your customers $25 to remove the gel polish let your customers know ahead of time. Stay away - I will never be back and will make sure to tell my friends and family the same. This is bad business! read more

First visit yesterday, I had a pedicure for $85.00 and so did my husband. I also had a manicure. Combined, we spent $190.00. Service was horrible. I felt I was dealing with a brut rather than a nail tech. This woman was rough. I had to ask her twice not to scrub and massage my legs so forcefully as she was hurting me. The nail tech appeared to be sick, not wearing a mask, and she kept walking away during my pedicure to empty dirty towels. She could barely concentrate on taking care of me and was either listening to other conversations, engaging in conversations and hurrying through painting my fingernails. Service was terrible. I would not go back if the service was free. I do not recommend. read more
