Ethan is such a great manicurist. I walked in without an apt and he was able to see me. The place is very friendly and great you right away. I come here with my friend and we never have to wait long. I have been coming for a while now and I have seen Ethan. He is very friendly makes good small talk and tries to get to know a little bit about each client he works with. When doing my nails you can see he is determined to make sure you get the best service. I have to say I am very pleased with the results. I asked him questions and he answered them very honestly. I asked him in regards to doing matte on my nails and he said he was open to the idea but did tell me I would have to come back earlier to get them redone (as matte doesn't last long) but he was very open to the idea of doing it. I thanked him for his honest opinion but stuck to my usual glossy nails . My experience has always been pleasant when I go and do plan on returning when a touch up is needed. Hope this helps! I am so disappointed.. I will never go to this nail boutique again!!! To start with you go in there & they rush you.. they don't give you time to look for colors & when you show them a picture they say they can do it but they really can't. IT WAS SO SIMPLE white nails with glitter I also wanted 3 gem stones on 2 finger nails that was it. To start my nails were crooked & thick. she literally rushed & left all the underneath of my nails full of acrylic powder. I asked her to fix my nail 3 times because it was crooked & she kept telling me my finger nail was like that but I told her that I didn't like it and she didn't even bother to fix it she kept ignoring me & kept going. Then, I told her the underneath is full of powder & it was hard already so it was so uncomfortable & rushingly she removed SOME of it mind that there was still a whole chunk left on my nail when she "finished " . Then I had showed her a picture of the nail with gems which was only 3 gems on only 2 fingers & she kept telling me not to add them & I told her I would pay for it that it's fine, & she kept telling me not to add I have never seen any nail tech say no to what a customer wants. She proceeded to tell me "if you want more work you have to pay more" Then I told her that they don't look like the picture that I wanted & I showed her on my phone and she literally tossed my phone and turned it over. She could've broken the screen. I had enough at that point and told her I can go just finish the clear on it and I'll go. As we proceeded to the check out place I started trying to rip off the acrylic powder from underneath my nails because it was so uncomfortable & she literally starts to yank me in an aggressive way & I told her "why are you pulling me don't do that" & I asked her for my card back and left. I paid $98 for this horrible experience. At this point I didn't even care I just wanted to leave. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. No one should ever be treated this way. read more

Well ..I don't feel like spending an hour to get the nail done .but it was worth it , loved the service. She did great job !!!

I really wish I could do no stars. This is absolutely outrageous. I've always gotten color changing nails. And I'll give them that they do a good job with pedicures. But when i went in with my sister I picked out a clear that goes to green and my sister one that was a pink that goes to brown. We asked one of the ladies if it's pink to brown and not brown to pink. She said she didn't know. WHO DOESN'T KNOW THEIR OWN PRODUCTS?! At first the color would not change in hot or cold water. Then a gentleman came out with a steaming hot towel only to find out it changes to a DARK RED COLOR! We picked the pink so that it can match my sister's military ball jewelery. I told the lady that's not what we picked out. It was supposed to be pink to brown and instead it's brown to dark red. I need it to be pink. And the lady's response is "honey you picked the color I can't control what is in the bottle" and I'm like "ok but I need it to be pink" and she's says "next time when you come in" and I told her "NO I NEED IT TO BE PINK NOW! I'm getting another color I already paid!" she's like "you picked the color and that's what you got but ok but whatever color you pick you have to stay with." THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Sorry, but this place is dirty, super quick (not in a good way), and the tools used were the same ones just lying around on the table from who knows when. As for gel polish they don't even have the majority of their polishes displayed on the sample nails... They give you a card to paint on - you have to pull out all the polishes one by one. I know, first world problems, but, It was a first for me. Won't go back. Have to clean up my cuticles at home. read more

Service is fast and the salon and tools are clean. Pedicure is $23; spa pedi is $33 and includes some exfoliation but not much more massage. I like to bring my own polish, but they have a selection of about 200 colors. Waxing is well-done and inexpensive. Lots of parking and easy in/out. read more

I went to this salon on Mon, Jan 22, requesting a pedicure and manicure. The woman at the front with short black hair asked me to choose a color. I told her that I have my own color, which is OPI Infinite Shine. She informed me that she needs to charge me extra because it is a vinyl polish. I explained to her that OPI Infinite Shine is a long-wearing nail lacquer that applies like a lacquer, removes like a lacquer, and shines until removed. She said she was going to charge me extra although I brought my own base coat, color, and top coat!! She's a lying cheap ass!! If you don't know your products, get out of the nail industry!!!! It is really irritating that these salons continually rip people off instead of providing honest pricing!!! They should receive a -10 rating!!! read more

Nail Salons are a dime a dozen in Herndon. But I keep coming back to this nail salon. It's convenient, they do a decent job, it's always clean and there never seems to be a crowd there, even on Saturdays. Last time I was there, two of the ladies were bickering up a storm in their native language. They were really going at it, and it made many of us customers there uncomfortable. Still the woman with the short hair managed to either channel or set aside her anger because she gave me the best pedicure and eyebrow wax I've had in years. I went to get a manicure and a pedicure on Friday. I decided to get the gel nail polish because it is supposed to last longer. Well not in this place! by Sunday 5 of the nails were already chipped (mind you I paid over $50 for this) so I called the salon and they told me to swing by to get it fixed, you would think that they would have remove the polish and offered to do it on a different color...well they only fixed the ones that were chipped. The next day again! 3 of the nails were chipped (I work a desk job so it's not like I was doing something that might have cause this) I went again and they fixed them, at this point I thought they were going to replace the polish because there was obviously something wrong with this polish but they didn't. Well, 5 days later 3 more nails have chipped!!! I went back and the owner didn't even look at me, she was yelling something about two weeks, I guess she meant that I had this done two weeks ago but it isn't true! It has barely been a week. On top of it all, because they try to do the manicure so fast when they were cutting the cuticles they cut the sides of my nails so now they are all breaking. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! In Herndon on a business trip and needed to get my nails done urgently, so came here, what a huge mistake that was. This place is extremely unhygienic. The women doing my nails used a dirty nail clipper, a used file and a dirty cuticle cutter. They had clearly not been cleaned from the previous customer as there were bits of skin and nail on them.. When I said something the women was very rude and started shouting at me. Just hope I don't get nail fungus now. read more

I have been going here since late 2009. I have ALWAYS been super happy with Nail Boutique. I moved to Tyson's, and finally I'm BACK in Herndon and can go to my go-to nail spot. They recognized me when I walked in (although it'd been atleast 2 years), and I continue to be super pleased. Even if something chips (it happens sometimes), they work me in right away and fix it! Went there to get my Pink&Whites off (put them on for my wedding, but I'm not a long-nail gal and they were getting in the way). The guy assigned to me had no idea what he was doing. While using the dremel to file some of the acrylic off he used it on the area that had grown out (where my natural nail was) and basically filed a hole through my nail and into the nailbed. Hurt like hell. His method was extremely infective, and hurt a lot, but even when I complained he didn't get it, because his english vocabulary has three words. "Ouch" and "Cuticle" are not included. Eventually I just told him to stop even though I still have acrylic left b/c I had been there over an hour and was about to cry, so he did my "manicure" which was akin to what five year olds do to their nails - the polish I chose ended up being a hard-to-use goop which should be thrown out, and when he applied it, it didn't reach the edges, stopped shy of the front of the nail and looked like a mess. Needless to say, I took it off as soon as I got home. I'm used to communication barriers and to somewhat 'rough' manicurists, but this place takes the cake. Run. read more

No stars would have been appropriate here since she cut me 3 times during my pedicure and I bled. Someone cutting me has never happened to me before during a pedicure, and I hope it will never happen again. They also charge $40 for gel! While across the street at world gate it's $20 for gel and they do a MUCH better job! Nail boutique is dirty-I watched all of them use the same tools on everyone getting a pedicure-so gross! Also, the lady I had was ROUGH to say the least! My toes were red, bloody and swollen from how harsh she was. She told me she was a foot doctor and she could help me with my sensitive feet and I said "Really, you're a podiatrist?" She said "No, a foot DOCTOR"... so yeah I then told her to "stop cleaning" and just paint the nails and she kept insisting on cutting the nails/skin. She didn't even scrub my feel because she was so preoccupied with trying to trim my nails at an angle and I wouldn't let her, since I did not want ingrowns and or more bleeding to occur. Do NOT go here, just take a left (or right) and go to Worldgate Nails across the street. MUCH More friendly and they get you any drink or snack of your choice! Nail boutique is just awful. I woke up this morning to my toes being infected where she cut them (bloody and pus now coming out now). Please please don't go here! read more
