The place is small and cozy, and it really feels like you're in someone's home. The food was delicious and bottomless wine generous. But the best part by far was the fado show! The musicians came out for a few sets throughout the evening, and sang beautiful traditional Portuguese fado music. The service was great, and all the staff & performers really seemed like a big family. Definitely of the top things I did during my trip to Lisbon!!

The entrees were on the pricier side, which is something we didn't realize until the end of the trip - when we've had better food, better experience for a more feasible price. The entrees were smaller and less flavorful than we expected. Our bill was also a big one cause of drinks. Great. - "Arroz de marisco com lagosta, camarão-tigre, gambas e amêijoas do Algarve (2 pessoas)" Seafood Rice for 2 people with lobster, tiger shrimp, prawns, and clams. €79.90. Great. This came in a covered pot hat the waiter portioned and served. There were about four servings total from this dish. Each serving had a good amount of lobster, shrimp, and clams. My sparkling green wine paired nicely with this dish. Service was impeccable. For example, they: - placed a stool beside my chair to separately seat my phone and camera. - cleaned the tablecloth when my companion stained it with red wine. - held my backpack in a secure room while we ate. I thought the restaurant was a little pushy on dessert. We weren't thinking of dessert because our tourist diet already had too much sugar from too many Pastéis de Nata, but we relented. Well, tonight, I decided to spare myself the travel and come visit the restaurant. Panorama is on the 24th floor. With the stunning view, my slightly lonesome evening did not appear to be too lonesome after all. I order the Red Prawn and the suckling pig. Red Prawn is a Lisbon / Spain specialty, so I'd extremely highly recommend this if you have never had one. As for suckling pig, it's also a traditional Portuguese dish. Before I get started on the dishes, I must first compliment their bread. For those who have read my previous reviews, they will know, I DON'T EAT BREAD. I packed my then boyfriend now husband's toaster and put it in the attic when I moved in with him 7 years ago. With that said, this bread is amazing. Soft and buttery... and it was served with the lard from Jamon iberaco. OK super unhealthy but WOW! Next is the Red Prawns. They separated the red prawn into 3 parts (technically 4) - they made the bottom of the head crispy, they seared the prawn itself, they used the juice from the head to make a sauce and they used the meat in the head to make a "fake cherry tomato". The entire dish stimulated all the different parts of my taste buds. I am a huge red prawn fan and I have had it MANY times. I usually like it just - grilled. Basic as it is naturally amazing. But this was a true piece of art. Then I had the suckling pig. I think it was very good, they had a beautiful head of lettuce grilled with seafood flavours (a shrimp sauce) with crisps and shredded pork. Mixed with the pork was a piece of crunchy skin crispified to perfection. The dish was absolutely exquisite. Since I was a bit tired tonight, I ended with just a mint tea. They gave me some complimentary sweets, which was the perfect ending to a beautiful meal. I can imagine the tasting dishes would be amazing as well, but I simply did not have the room. Expect to spend 50(a la carte or small tasting menu)-80 (big tasting menu) Euros pp without the alcohol - for such quality, and Michelin level food, I think it's very reasonable. Stick to the Asian classics, as the only "average" dish, ironically, was the most experience item on the menu: the Wagu beef. The crab and truffle roll was so delicious that we doubled the order after the first bite. Chicken teriyaki and sea bass were also fabulous.

There were plenty of tables, and we were sat somewhere where my hair would get stuck to a plant behind me, so I requested to move tables, and the hostess and servers made a big deal like it was a major inconvenience to them. Now this is Lisbon, which means hospitality is almost non existent there. But I still expect bare minimum kindness regardless. The ambiance was nice and I'm sure it's better late at night as well. When you walk by Casa do Alentejo you can't imagine what it looks like on the inside. Originally…read morebuilt in the 17th century as a palace, it features a unique blend of neo-Arab, Baroque, and Art Nouveau styles, including a famous Moorish courtyard and tile panels. There are two dining rooms upstairs quite different in decor. We were in the on decorated by the blue tiles. Oh and the food is phenomenal. We ordered the "pica-pau" for appetizer. It's marinated pork, which is then pan fried with aromatics, onion and garlic. We also ordered the migas and ribs. Migas is a rustic dish made by repurposing leftover or stale bread. Rooted in peasant and shepherd traditions, the bread is moistened and then sautéed in olive oil and garlic. It was served with short ribs. I ordered the pork and clams, a specialty from southern central portugal. Sounds crazy but it's amazing good and a throwback to my childhood. For dessert we shared sericaia, another southern Portuguese delicacy which is a flan-type with baked prunes. Can't recommend this place highly enough and it's always a place we return to when in Portugal. Check out the photos. Service was discreet and attentive.
