Dinner was SO good! And holy guacamole if you don't get the Dinosaur Drool you will totally regret it! Great experience. And if you want to continue the party, go to the bathroom ... or downstairs for more cocktails! read more

Lovely and very attentive staff with good English and good information. The interior setting included a small dinosaur skeleton and dessert offerings included "Dinosaur Drool" which was a delicious hodgepodge of many different chocolate, vanilla and perhaps caramel textures and tastes. We enjoyed the rice and steak as well as delicious bread, butter and olives! read more

We visited this and the sister restaurant Asia in one week while visiting from the States. We had the best experiences at both restaurants and are extremely impressed. The food, the service, the ambience, the options, the look, on and on. There was nothing to change & in fact many restaurants have much to learn from how these are operated. There is a reason these are the top known dining establishments in Lisbon. And don't forget to check out the bathrooms, truly my favourite! read more

JNcQUOI - The black cod. It's what tasting heaven is like here on earth - Portuguese Near Me - Lisbon, 11

JNcQUOI Avenida is not just a restaurant--it's a full production. From the moment you walk in, you get the sense that this place is designed to impress, surprise, and entertain all at once. We started with oysters--fresh, briny, and a clean way to kick things off. What stood out next was the cheese selection arriving early in the meal. Not the usual order, but it set a rich, indulgent tone right away and actually worked within the flow of the experience. The grilled bluefin tuna with razor clam rice was excellent. The tuna had the texture of a tender steak--meaty, structured, and satisfying--while the rice added a subtle ocean depth without overpowering the dish. The highlight, though, was the tagliolini with truffles. Bold, deeply flavourful, and unapologetically rich. This is the kind of dish that anchors the entire meal--easily the standout. Dessert rounded things out nicely. The space is stunning--grand, dramatic, and anchored by that iconic suspended dinosaur skeleton. It's upscale but energetic, with a crowd that feels like it came to enjoy the night, not just the food. Service was polished and professional. The team knows the menu well, offers guidance when needed, and maintains that balance between attentive and unobtrusive. And then there's the detail you don't expect: a DJ in the bathroom. It sounds gimmicky, but somehow it fits perfectly with the overall concept. This is a place that leans into the experience--and commits to it. Overall, JNcQUOI Avenida delivers on both food and atmosphere. It's high-end, a little over the top in the best way, and the kind of place you go when you want dinner to feel like an event. read more

We made the mistake of getting a reservation here the day before, but ended up being the best mistake. We could've possibly made. Even with a late seating, the service and food was unbeatable. This restaurant has a few menus and a wine menu. You could be eating from the restaurant itself, or you could be eating from The Delibar downstairs. We ordered items off both menus and everything was fantastic. Our server was nothing short of incredibly accommodating and even let us know that music and drinking continued on downstairs and he pre-reserved us a spot. Their cocktails are out of this world and are not only extremely creative, but get the job done. Every single meet we tried on our charcuterie board was delectable and I still think about it weeks later. One really cool thing about the restaurant is the ambience and decor. It has a lot of inspiration from fashion, from what I can tell, and lots of interesting pieces of art. There is a gorgeous stairwell that leads to a downstairs area where you can either enter a mirrored bathroom with your own private DJ, hang out in the entryway and lounge amongst some gorgeous picture books, or swing into the vibey bar. We got to explore all of this and left that night as JNcQUOI fans for life. I would absolutely love to return to this location, or experience others. It's clear that every member of the staff truly cares about the experience that guests have while dining here and that's reflected in the quality of the food and the high level of service. read more

This review was very long overdue since we were at JNcQUOI back in June 2025. One of the best meals we've had in a very very long time! Catarina was so helpful in us deciding what to order, from the drinks to appetizers to our main course. The food was AMAZING!!! Probably the best truffle pasta I have ever had! We were there during Portugal day, so it was pretty hectic and challenging to get to the restaurant itself because the entire street was blocked for miles! But once we got there, it was an unbelievable fun and enjoyable time. The highlight was going to the restroom downstairs. There was a DJ playing really incredible EDM music in the center, surrounded by all the restroom stalls. Walking back upstairs there's a cute little library on one side with a Diptique candle shop on the other. This was definitely a very memorable night that we will always look back at fondly. The service was also impeccable My daughter accidentally left behind her brand new rings and Barbara in the corporate office was very helpful in tracking the rings down the next day. Thank you, JNcQUOI for an unbelievable night in Lisbon! read more

One of my favorite meals in Lisbon. The prawns had a beautiful color and great flavor. The JNcQUOI rice that came with it????? 10/10. It's a teriyaki and soy based rice with bacon and dried grapes. It was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Mostly savory. One of the servers asked us if we liked spicy food and brought us out an oil to add to the rice. He also suggested we take the sauce from the prawns and add it over the rice. Great recommendation! The lobster and grouper rice was not bad. I feel like I would've enjoyed it more if I didn't have the JNcQUOI rice first. It's tomato based but doesn't taste super acidic. The taste of the grouper is strong and takes over for sure. But if you like that, then you'll love it. It's also a pot full of rice so keep that in mind. It was a lot to finish. The restaurant was beautiful. Service was great. I'd recommend read more

Ate at the Delibar instead of the more formal seated dining within JNcQUOI. Beautiful bar area with wonderful service. Highlights were the beef tartare, although it was almost ground rather than diced, so don't order if you prefer pieces. The Pablito mezcal cocktail was excellent! read more

We really loved the vibe and scene at this restaurant. The restaurant was booked, however they have a great bar next door that people can walk into and eat. We sat at a high top and had a great evening. It's expensive but worth it. We had the Tagliatelle with Morilles (fresh herbs) and the Tagliolini al Tartufo and both were excellent. The only surprise was the bread charge as we were not accustomed to that in the U.S., however we now know they do this all over Portugal. read more

What an amazing restaurant from the professional front of the house service to the talented chefs who are curating delicious plates of food. Dining at JNcQUOI is an experience I highly recommend! Signature cocktails will start the adventure and the food menu will challenge you as you choose from a broad array of fresh seafood and more. Complete your meal with a dessert that will top off a truly unique dining experience! Good luck choosing one, I went on my birthday and they surprised my wife and I with a special dessert...so I got to taste three different ones. If you're staying in Lisbon's city center it's an easy walk, otherwise shuttle yourself there to enjoy a memorable moment filled with great food and service! read more

One of my favorite restaurants from our Spain/Portugal trip! Service was fantastic, as was the food. This is an upscale restaurant with a nice ambiance - complete with a framed dinosaur skeleton as part of the decor. Everything we had here was delicious, including the salad, tartare, steak, and tiramisu. The Dinosaur Drool dessert came highly recommended but we weren't in the mood for it that night - would be interested in trying it next time though! They have a well rounded wine/drink menu as well. read more

Great spot when you are in he shopping district. We were at the downstairs bar area - ordered the Iberico pork pluma which was very flavorful. First dinner in Lisboa was at this beautiful restaurant. Service & ambiance is amazing. All servers from waiters to wine steward work to make a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. Stated with king crab salad, sooo good, and burata. Perfect with our sparkling port wine and second course of port white. Grilled prawns from East Africa tasted sweet like Maine lobster. Cod, prepared traditional Portuguese style was very good. Evan's pork loin was amazing with zip from garlic. Finished with dessert. Bathrooms are very unique with disco ball and DJ?!? Add some time to look around the beautiful/ fancy restaurant. It is is that. At the same time, it doesn't feel LA style, where they try to hard to be cool. It just is. read more

I registered for the event through Eventbrite and arrived at the meeting place. I had a voucher with a barcode. Two other guests, a medical campaigner and another person who owns a ventilator startup, arrived with the same vouchers. The host, who is also the owner of the restaurant, didn't know what it was about, but took the initiative and sat us at a free table, including soft drinks. Since my previous attempt to get accepted for a marketing position in biomed failed, I decided to leave the candidate who was the better choice with the owner of the startup company for lunch alone. I finished the soft drink and returned to my apartment not far from there read more

Really enjoyed this Asian Hawker food type restaurant. Don't get me wrong, by Hawker, I mean a diverse offering of Asian food that I fell in love with during my many years of travel in Asia. This is an upscale trendy place, with a great vibe to enjoy the incredible food. Make a reservation early. Service was top notch. We started with some sushi, which was very good. Then moved on to some Taiwanese soup dumplings which were not as delicacy as Din Tai Fung, but still delicious. Ended the meal with some chicken & noodles which was also great. Can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Lisbon. Cheers! read more

It's a hard place to get a reservation and we were fortunate to get a reservation a week in advance so plan ahead. The interior and decor of the restaurant is esthetically pleasing and one of the best Ive seen in Lisbon. It's very nicely designed with an "open kitchen" concept. The food is good. We tried the cod fritters, lettuce salad, fish and seafood soup, JNCQUOI veal, and linguini vongole. The cod fritters were fluffy and stuffed with an adequate amount of cod...arguably probably some of the best I've had throughout Portugal. The lettuce salad was disappointing...it was a bibb lettuce drizzled with a very small dab of oil and would have been much better if it had some sort of vinaigrette or acid. The fish soup, veal, linguini with clams were all executed well and very tasty. Service was a little slow, but overall the dining experience was good. And it's a good place for people watching. That's where the goodness ends...after dinner at the suggestion of the sommelier, we attempted to go to the bar downstairs for a drink, only to be told that we would have to wait in the outside queue for the bar patrons. Um, no thank you...we left!!! I'd rather spend my money at a business that appreciates my patronage. After spending hundreds of Euros on a meal upstairs, no dining patron should have to wait in a queue with the regular bar customers. On that basis alone, I would not recommend JNCQUOI Avenida. read more

I was here (Lisbon) on a tour and ventured out solo for dinner and ended up here at the bar!! The restaurant was fully booked with no reservations available!! I was 100% satisfied with the bar service!! They were great!! What a great find!! The staff, the ambience and the food were all amazing! I started with oysters, which I was hesitant eating oysters on the half shell, but they were nice and plump and tasty. I asked the bar tender if he could make me his next Ild Fashioned and add a filthy cherry and he knocked it out the park. Something as simple as French fries!! Their fries were the perfect combination of crisp edges and a soft center!! I don't remember exactly what the name if my entree was, but I do remember it was good. Everything was great and when I return to Lisbon, I will definitely dine here again!! read more

A few people recommended this spot in Lisbon, specifically for the sushi. While the fish was fairly fresh, as a Californian I don't think the sushi was THAT good. Plus the prices seemed a bit high for the quality. The ambience was nice, but felt a little too uptight and sceney (coming from someone in LA). We ran a few minutes late and when I called the woman said not to worry and to take my time. Yet when we arrived the host very rudely said "your reservation started at 7:15 so you have to give us the table back at 9:15." Yet the service took so long (20 min to get the check) that we did not leave by 9:15, so I don't see why she so rudely suggested that. The service was incredibly slow - after ordering my drink from the waiter, the same waiter asked me 10 min later "do you want anything to drink?" read more

This place is a solid 10. The staff was amazing. The restaurant itself should be on the cover of Architectural Digest. The food - the food could easily be the standard for which all other restaurants could be ranked against. Everything we tried was a 10. read more

Ambiance at this place is gorgeous - don't have my phone to take pics but I wouldn't have to begin with, as it's classy and chic place. Patrons know the maitre d' and you can tell that it's regulars that frequent the place. Food is on average side - I didn't expect a place like this to have the best food. Places like this have great location but the food aspect is never there - it's mediocre and it's Percy for what you get. Some dishes bland others too much flavoring - ... textures are not cohesive and don't work all at once. Too many flavors going on - needs Refinement. Staff can use slightly polishing w smiling and actually being happy that they're busy as they wouldn't have a job w out the patrons, so be kind next time. Reason why I went in as I like to see what treatment I would get w no reservation - let's say the host was most accommodating and took me in w open arms. You def need reservations ahead of time and you def need to tip the host and the staff - again can use training. Food - 6 Ambiance - 7 people were dressed w tennis shoes (it's disrespectful to come in w dirty tennis shoes in this type of place) Acoustics - 8 (too loud) Cleanliness of bathroom - 10 Host - 10 Staff - 5 Overall 7.5 read more

From the moment we arrived, every moment of our dining experience was outstanding. We had the most amazing server named Pedro who was seriously the best server we've ever had! The restaurant itself is quite impressive. It feels upscale and chic, yet has an old-school cool This was hands down our favorite restaurant in Lisbon. The food and service was better than the 2 Michelin starred restaurants that were triple the price of our meal at JNcQUOI! Between the 4 of us, we ordered: Lobster and Grouper Rice - we ordered this as an appetizer and shared it between two of us. It was delicious! It's a brothy rice dish with generous chunks of grouper and lobster. Barbeque Ribs with French fries - my friend loved the ribs and said it had the perfect amount of heat. The fries are fantastic! Veal Cutlet - melt-in-your mouth tender, served with grilled asparagus and French fries. I think this was our favorite! Confit Cod - this was a special dish that isn't regularly on the menu. It had a creamy base made with bread topped with a generous portion of cod. It was very rich. I was only able to eat half of it! I'm glad I trusted our waiter who highly recommended it. Our waiter brought us multiple re-fills of their complimentary delicious bread basket of flatbread, bread sticks, and sliced bread with butter. For dessert, we also followed our server's recommendation of his two favorites: Chocolate Dome with Praline - amazing! Raspberry Confit Tart - my favorite! Coffee was excellent. It will be the meal we all remember most when we think of our time in Lisbon! read more

I hate an anti-Black dress code. I say this with intention because the rules are exclusively enforced for Black people. Security (Michael) aggressively told me I could not wear a fashionable Alexandre Mattiussi vest that I had purchased earlier at the connected shops. The food was pretty good, but my review has to do with questionable business practices. My wife ordered a glass of House Cava. Upon being told that the restaurant had no Cava, she was offered a glass of champagne. She said yes and consumed it. It was fine; nothing amazing. Upon receiving the bill, we saw that the glass of champagne cost 33 euros! We were never told that this was the price. Given that my wife ordered a House Cava drink, this is outrageous and deceptive. No effort was made to reduce or remove the charge. read more

First you must learn how to pronounce the name. JNcQUOI= in English " jay Nis Cee Qua ". At least thats how it sounds to me. Anyway, what a fantastic dining experience. I hope the pictures do it justice. Hard table to reserve. 3 week waiting list. The menu is a Combination of Asian, Japanese, Indian, etc. Very nice combinations. Wine list was great. Focused on Portugal as a region. The service was good. Waiter was funny. Forgot a couple things but not a big deal. Ordered spring rolls and crab and cucumber salad for apps. Very good. The crab was a bit fishy. But the vinaigrette in the salad covered it up well. I had sashimi fir dinner. It was good. Presentation was ok. Not a whole lot of work put in to it. Place is a bit pricey. This restaurant was just steps from our hotel, but transformed us to another world. I looked to make a reservation, but it wasn't available on line. We just walked in and got seated immediately. The decor is engaging and our server, Joao, couldn't have been more personable. The meal here is not inexpensive, but the quality and preparation of the Asian fusion menu is creative and every course was delicious. A great value, if it's in your price range. The ambience is lively, yet conversation was easy. While the main dining room is elegant, the terrace would have been very comfortable even in this cooler evening. The carmelized spare ribs were a bit salty, but well seasoned. Use the lime included on the plate to cut the saltiness and it is perfect. The crab wonton soup was delightful. The black cod was a true highlight. And the serving was ample. Don't miss the black cod. It is exceptional. read more
