The restaurant was lovely -- sleek, modern, minimalist, with elements of traditional Portuguese architecture integrated throughout. The softly playing background music was English light rock on repeat. Dishes we ordered included: - "Sardinha assada em tosta de broa de milho e salada montanheira" ("Fresh grilled sardine fillet on toasted cornbread and mountain salad") €16.90. De-boned, but not my thing. - "Ostras nacionais ao natural" (Oysters). €22.90. Great. - "Arroz de marisco com lagosta, camarão-tigre, gambas e amêijoas do Algarve (2 pessoas)" Seafood Rice for 2 people with lobster, tiger shrimp, prawns, and clams. €79.90. Great. This came in a covered pot hat the waiter portioned and served. There were about four servings total from this dish. Each serving had a good amount of lobster, shrimp, and clams. My sparkling green wine paired nicely with this dish. Service was impeccable. For example, they: - placed a stool beside my chair to separately seat my phone and camera. - cleaned the tablecloth when my companion stained it with red wine. - held my backpack in a secure room while we ate. I thought the restaurant was a little pushy on dessert. We weren't thinking of dessert because our tourist diet already had too much sugar from too many Pastéis de Nata, but we relented. The desserts, while tasty and sweet, were not memorable. Complementary Wi-Fi is available.

From the moment you walk through the door until that giant desert display comes around you will be lavished with luxury, great food and service. Our party was five people and we all enjoyed our dishes. While we all were a little under dressed I would suggest at least business casual. The restaurant is set in an old building with very nice architecture. I would certainly come back again

He will talk to you for hours and teach you about food and wine and culture and talk about the history of food and how it came to be in Portugal. I loved it. I learned so much. I aspire, as an American, to learn from and look up to other cultures. I feel very honored to have dined in a restaurant managed by him on our trip to Portugal. I'm going to recommend to our travel coordinator to add this restaurant to the Google map recommendations list because more people need to go to this place - they need more tables, more space, because I'm convinced this is such a hidden gem that should be exposed to the masses to enjoy! We visited several wineries and this restaurant had the best wine - bar none! The fish, a fish I hadn't tried before, was deliciously seasoned, falls apart with the fork, the creamy rice was just divine. I normally will never eat little cherry/grape tomatoes - ever - but the perfect bite of fish, creamy rice, and a tomato was... perfection. The menu is deeply curated; flavors - textures - wines that make sense. You can tell Frederico what you normally like and he 100% knows what wines he has that you will love. The tomato, orange, ham, salad, was absolutely balanced and delicious. I'm so grateful that our first trip to Portugal we got to meet Frederico and dine with these wonderful people who love food and wine as much as us. I'll never forget it as long as I live. You will not be disappointed. Promise.

What I remember was that it was all good. You'll just have to try it yourself. Cash only.

The restaurant is much larger than anticipated, spanning across a few floors. Servers were friendly and gave amazing recommendations, even stopping us from ordering too much. The sangria was one of the best we've had and the bread was excellent with the butter the cheese. They do charge for these starters, but it's listed on the menu. I made the mistake of eating too much bread before our mains came. We enjoyed the clams and grouper head with a side of greens and potatoes. everything was delicious! It's big enough to share for two, and we still couldn't manage to finish all the food. We wanted to try dessert as it was our last meal in Lisbon, but unfortunately ate way too much and couldn't stomach anything else. Would highly, highly recommend this restaurant! They also gave all the ladies a parting gift (a single flower), which I thought was a cute touch. Paid via credit card and they didn't ask for us to leave a tip.

Though I must say it does not match the vibe portrayed by the website. It is very bright inside and feels very 1980s-1990s. People said it's high end and to dress well but there were tourists showing up in shorts and t-shirt. Which is fine but again, not the vibe I expected. To start I said I didn't want the couvert. They took away part of it and left the rest. We just decided what the hell and ate some of it. The cured meat (I forget what kind) left a strange film under my tongue I've never experienced eating similar meat so I didn't eat much of it. The cod was very bony. Parts of it were cooked beautifully and parts were very overcooked and chewy. The potatoes were too salty but well cooked. The greens had grit in them and crunched uncomfortably in my teeth. The steak was lovely but the accompanying rice was hard and bland. It was the only place I've eaten in Portugal (and I've tried a pretty large variety of types) where the sever held the credit card machine in front of me asking if I wanted to enter a tip as I was in the process of looking at the bill and paying. I would have tipped anyway but it was definitely off-putting. Maybe the hype is just residue from a bygone era? I was told I had to try it so I did but I wouldn't go back and probably wouldn't recommend it.

This place delivers such a joyful experience and I would have gladly gone again...except I had to leave Lisbon the next morning. I will miss Lisboa é Linda. First night: Delicious amuse-bouche; fantastic spinach soup; cuttlefish with ink risotto; éclair with pistachio cream; two different rosés; 10-year port. Second night: an even tastier amuse-bouche; the perfect spinach soup (the same, I liked it so much); tuna in a ginger/garlic reduction; roasted kid crépine with broccoli rabe; hazelnut crème brûlée; two different white wines; 50-year port (phenomenal). I was in heaven and still am just thinking of it all. The kindness and expertise of staff and owner topped it all off.

I love tapas restaurants so I was very excited to try multiple dishes. I love that the bread came with honey as well as olive oil. That was a nice touch. Our first order was the corn ravioli. Amazing!! The creaminess of the corn stuffing mixed with the melt in your mouth pasta was 10 out of 10. I would have a hard time not ordering this every time. My friend ordered the chicken skewers. I found them to be simple but exactly what she ordered. I didn't care to finish them and wanted to save room for a different option. I got the veal empanada and it was delicious. The empanada shell was the perfect consistentcy. It was stuffed with a lot of tender veal. The sauce was drinkable. Watching the chefs in their element preparing the dishes was so cool; for such a tight space, they were a well-oiled machine. Here were my favorites: 1. The tomato soup with egg. So, so simple, with only two main ingredients, but perfectly executed. I'll need to try making this at home with the immersion blender. 2. Pan con tomato with jamón ibérico. I'm sitting here writing this review and crying a little on the inside that we in the States don't have such easy access to quality ingredients to make such a stand-out dish. Grilled bread, tomato spread, and the best jamón I've ever tasted. This was an order we added at the very end and I'm glad we did. 3. The sweet rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream and toasted rice krispies on top. I was almost too full to function by this point but still made room to demolish this dessert. We also got the grouper stew, which was pretty good, but at that point, I had basically gotten the same dish multiple times and this one didn't particularly stand out. Definitely make reservations! There are two seats on the street but I personally wouldn't want to sit there as there's a ton of foot traffic in the area (plus the cars drive pretty close too so you're also breathing in fumes and exhaust). A perfect dinner in Lisbon: oysters at Rosamar one street over and then some tapas and drinks at Tapisco.
