I quickly searched Maps and discovered it was only 0.6 miles from my hotel. I must admit that the restaurant is located in a rough part of downtown. About 10 minutes into my walk, I began questioning my life choices, but once I got into the restaurant, the vibe was chill and upbeat. When it comes to wings, I am a dry-rub kind of girl. So, I was happy when my server mentioned that the Old Bay dry rub was the flavor of the week. I ordered their lunch special of six wings with fries and a drink. The wings are served with blue cheese. Really was craving authentic wings during my vacation in Seattle, found this place. Hooray. We got there. I was then immediately put off by the fact that the menu seems to think it knows how you want to eat wings better than you do due to the fact that it proudly proclaims that "we don't serve ranch at this establishment." Whatever, ok. Fine. I'll get the bleu cheese because it's more authentic or whatever. I should've turned away after the weird pretentiousness with the wings' dipping sauce, but like a hopeful fool I stayed. I even wondered if I was the one who was wrong, that maybe I'd been brainwashed by some sort of pro-ranch lobby into ignoring a superior dipping sauce, but that's when the second red flag on the menu showed itself: a sort of proclamation that "our wings aren't your frozen grocery store wings, they're small," written with all this self aggrandizing implied logic that this somehow made them better. At this point I should've just gone to Buffalo Wild Wings but again I stayed. Like a fool, I stayed. True to their word, the wings were pretty tiny. Not a ton of meat on them, all pretty stringy. We came here on a Thursday after visiting a couple other bars. The whole group was like, "finally, this is what we were looking for!". Music was 10/10, they had sumo wrestling on the tv, our drinks were fantastic. We ordered fries and they were reasonably priced, good portion, and delicious. Our waiter was amazing, super attentive and friendly. The bathrooms are hilarious. It's amazing how well soundproofed they are, it's like walking into another season. So, we came back again Friday, planning to grab dinner here and spend a the night hanging out and having drinks. There was a live DJ, and the music was great again, the DJ was having fun, but it was extremely loud and so tinny, we couldn't hear each other or our waitress (who was definitely not as friendly as the waiter the night before... but maybe her ears hurt too!). We only ended up grabbing a drink each before we had to leave and continue the night elsewhere, because the sound was just way too much. Still 5 stars, because Thursday was really great. Swung thru on a Friday night and the crowd was pretty solid, but this place wasnt overly busy. They have a late night menu with food and cocktails, so be sure to check that out. Lets get to the good stuff: Chicken Wings: The hot buffalo wings are so damn good here. If you appreciate a buffalo wing that isnt overly battered and essentially just flash fried these are so damn crispy on the outside and full of flavor, and then super juicy with a nice brine on the inside. The hot buffalo flavor is all flavor, but not to be outshined the WET lemon pepper is a lemon pepper bomb of flavor in your mouth. For the lemon pepper lovers this is the way to go. Chopped cheese: I just got back from NY before my visit back home to SEA and the chopped cheese here was cool, not great. Beef was a bit dried out and it seemed like it was the hoagie bun from costco we usually buy for BBQs. Cocktails: Theyre damn solid here. I figured we were walking into a chicken and beer spot, but tried a few of the cocktails and they were all pretty damn good. You could literally just come here for cocktails and prob leave happy. There's an arcade bar upstairs for those who want some extracurriculars, but I'd say stick to the chicken wings here and explore all the different flavors they got. They have a wing of the week, and last I checked it was nacho chicken wings. Definitely a go to for buffalo wings.
