Pierre the manager contacted me after seeing my comment. He was very nice and offered a $15 coupon as an incentive to return. We spoke a bit about the pricing and his defense was what you would expect - they put more resources into caring for your clothing and have a robust quality control process. I suppose if you want to pay a lot extra for this that's your prerogative, but I certainly don't. I've been going to dry cleaners my whole life and I can count on one hand the number of times I've had problems. The other issue is that apparently they charged me more because my pants were Canali. This is a designer brand and Pierre indicated that extra care needed to be taken so they charge more. I have not run into this situation with any other dry cleaner. The service and quality of care was excellent. But the service and quality of care at University Cleaners was also excellent, and they charge $5 for the same pair of pants. I'm inclined to think that the extra investment I made when choosing this cleaner, versus the one down block that charges me $5 for the same pair of pants, goes in most part to a fat margin. I will not be going back. read more

We drove a long way to get there. Arrived at 5pm. Lady said they were closed for some reason early on that particular day. It wasn't a holiday and normal hours are 7. We had literally one shirt to get dry cleaned and asked if they could just take it and they rejected us. Will not be coming back. read more

I wish their prices weren't so high. But, this is Irvine -- south of the 405, and commercial real estate is like a money pit for the Irvine Company. They do good dry cleaning. But, that's their job. Do I get Five Stars for doing my job? Only if I went above and beyond my duty. Can their prices be any higher? They know I have no other option nearby. read more

View Cleaners is a little expensive compared to other places you could find in southern California, but for Irvine it seems to be within range. If you overlook that, you'll see that they do a very good job with their cleaning services. I have been taking my shirts, pants, and jackets (various styles, not just work/suits) to View Cleaners for a couple of years now. They offer student discounts, which helps, and their points system is actually pretty rewarding; after a while, I received a $10-off credit, which is actually generous if you spread it across the costs of their cleaning. For me, View Cleaners is within walking distance of where I live and is also on my way home from work. Their hours are also reasonable, so I can usually come home, amass a pile, and walk over by the time they close at 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. They have limited weekend hours, but it's nothing too difficult. The best part is that the staff always greet you with a smile, which is a welcome break from other dry cleaning places where you walk in and are made to feel like they are doing you a favor by servicing you. As long as I live in the area, I'm sure I'll continue to do business with them. read more

I recently took in a down bed cover to be dry cleaned. When I asked how much it would be I was quoted $45. When I went to pick it up it was $80! Apparently, they underestimated the size of the cover and so they had to charge me more. I went ahead and paid the difference, but the experience didn't set well with me. A few days later I heard from the general manager who apologized for the misunderstanding and offered me a generous credit on my account. Everyone makes mistakes and I understand they need to charge more for a larger item. I appreciated Pierre's willingness to contact me and make things right. Aside from this minor mishap I have never had a problem with View Cleaners. They do a good job. read more

Wayyyy overpriced. Customer beware! Ask for pricing on all pieces upfront! This place charges double then any dry cleaner I've ever been to. They charged me more then the actual items cost to buy! I even spoke with a lady who claims to be the manager and she justified the cost saying the names brands cost more to clean... Bebe is not that expensive!!! Plus, there is no menu of pricing at the store or online. Seems like they just makeup whatever they want to charge. Sad because I've been there before a while back and they used to be decent.. read more

wow this place is PRICEY!!! made a mistake not asking dry cleaning costs for cotton dresses... the bill came to $75 for 3 dresses., $25 per dress.. not prom dress, not evening dress, just cotton dresses.... ask the check out gal to confirm the pricing, she said yes if it's designer... no designer, just summer dress... no thanks, will go back to my previous dry cleaning place. read more

I've updated my review for View. Immediately after I posted my original review, I received a call from the cleaners saying they'd take care of the issue free of charge and that they wanted to figure out what had happened. Second time around, everything was just fine. I'm still resisting full stars because there had to be a second time around and the prices are still quite heavy, but I'm not nearly so upset about the service received. It is excellent that the employees/managers at View Cleaners care so much about their reputation that they pay attention to reviews and do their best to make sure all customers are pleased. read more

Waaayyyy overpriced. Like someone said, check prices first!!! I dropped off and was handed a check with NO prices on it. That was a red flag right away even before leaving the counter. So inquired and was shocked to learn they charge an arm and a leg for everything. I immediately took my clothing back and will go elsewhere. No wonder they give a claim check with no prices. You don't know what you owe them until pick up. Who does that?? read more

Buyer beware! I guess this was partly my fault for not asking for a quote. They charged $35 to clean a dress that only cost $90 to buy. I assumed because it was polyester not silk that it would be charged like a regular dress which is only $20. They said it cost so much because it was a lace bodice. It is a machine made lace and fairly sturdy so I don't think it needed special attention. Regardless, I think I should have been told at drop off that there would be an up charge. They seems to charge based on what they think can get away with. read more

Great customer service -- great to have a neighborhood cleaners where they know you and do a great job with your clothes!

Very impressed with the personal interaction and quality of service received from View Cleaners. Having recently relocated to Irvine, and concerned about replacing my long standing dry cleaning service, I was grateful to find View. Thank you Manuela! Try View, you'll be happy you did! read more

Great place. clothes are always clean and freshly pressed. I love that they take extra care in pressing the lines just right. Thank you

I paid View Cleaners to dry clean a blue cotton dress in October 2008. The dress, when returned to me, was approximately two sizes smaller than it had been when it was left with the cleaners. Dry cleaning cannot shrink articles of clothing (to my knowledge), and so it is my contention that View Cleaners (accidentally or not) actually laundered my dress rather than dry cleaning it, contrary to the contract which indicated that I had ordered dry cleaning. I did not realize the dress had been shrunk until after taking it home and trying it on, so I took the dress back to View Cleaners to inquire why it had been shrunk and attempt to reach a resolution. The front desk person located my order for the dress in their computer system, but the individual who actually does the dry cleaning in the back told her that he had never dry cleaned the dress. I asked them whether they had washed the dress rather than dry cleaned it, as the shrinkage could only have come from regular laundering rather than dry cleaning, but they told me that because the tag says dry clean only, they could not possibly have washed it (although they do normal laundry at their store as well). She offered to have their in-house seamstress attempt to 'let out the pleats' in the dress, but while actually not even possible given the extent of shrinkage, the idea of their seamstress reassembling an expensive dress was offensive. I've had a pair of pants shortened by her, and trust me, the results were not pleasing (and in retrospect I guess I should have stopped using them at that point, but I figured that if I just didn't have anything altered there, their dry cleaning was still good). After the front desk person saw that I was unhappy with the suggestion, she asked to keep the dress to speak with the owner. I left it with her and waited for her to call me. A few days later she called, with the suggestion that I take the dress back to the store where it was purchased in order to ask them for a replacement on the grounds of poor materials!?! She said that dry cleaning should not have shrunk the dress, so it must be the store's fault (not theirs). The logic of this reasoning was lacking, and although the front desk person (sorry I can't remember your name!) was extremely nice in trying to help me achieve a resolution, they fell short of doing what I requested, which was for them to reimburse me for the dress they shrunk because they washed it instead of dry cleaning it (and to pay me back for the dry cleaning they never did). The contract was to dry clean, and it's not possible that they did that. Suffice it to say, I'll be looking for a new dry cleaners! I used their dry cleaning services for 6 years, but I guess my loyalty was unwarranted. Avoid, unless you want your belongings to become pint-sized. read more

Convenient home delivery for no extra charge, plus quality cleaning and friendly staff.

View Cleaners is the best. My shirts are never missing buttons. Never had a problem with anything there. I also really like the fact that most of the staff has been there for years. They know their customers. And they have return money found in my pockets to me more than once! read more

Not many pieces, 1 jacket dry cleaned and 4 shirts clean/pressed. I needed few pieces for the next day, so I had hoped that they could do that, which they could. However, when I got my bill, i paid close to $20 for all five pieces. I seriously could have find another place to do the same job for cheaper. I know it's in Irvine, but that was just too much for just 5 items. I don't think I'll be returning again. read more

View Cleaners has been my dry cleaner of choice for over ten years. Whenever I have a difficult stain I can almost bet they will get it out. My dress clothes last longer than they used to and have better shape. Whether I take in an inexpensive or name brand pieces, they treat each piece like it is their own. I would recommend them to anyone who cares about thier clothes. read more

They charge too much to fix a little hole that I would fix myself if I wasn't in a rush. Service is good and people there are nice though.

UPDATE: I recently got a call from the business owner, Pierre, who was very apologetic and explained to me that the higher cost was the result of the fact that I had brought in a designer suit; apparently for designer suits they have a policy of cleaning each piece separately. He offered me a credit for more than I paid and assured me that he would talk with the employees who were on staff at the time. While I think the pricing should have been more clearly stated at the outset, it meant a lot that he would go out of his way to try and fix things. It's a good business practice; no one can control every little thing their employees do. I'm revising this review to reflect that, and the fact that the cleaning they did was actually quite good. I intend to try View Cleaners out again. _______________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________ Well. My old review disappeared so I've taken it upon myself to re-write it. I brought a suit in to these guys to clean. They quoted me $16 and I left it with them. When I came back to pick it up, they wanted $26 (for one suit!). I told them about the price they quoted me, and they didn't care. I told them that I'd pay it but they'd never get my business again unless they gave me my quoted price, and they didn't care. So they'll never be getting my business again. read more

Recent relo to the OC. from ..needed cleaners that are fast and open weekends. Nina at View Cleaners was awesome. Drop off Friday evening back Saturday early afternoon - mens suit, 4 dress shirts. Solid price/value. Downside - parking in that shoppng center is awful. There are 4 or 5 20 minute spots right in front of cleaners but seems Bee'Mer' people park then go shopping or eat at IHOP for an hour or more.... View does pickup / drop off so that is way to go to avoid the parking frustration. Or go 1st thing in morning read more
