Tl;dr: Horrible quality, even worse customer service. Would give 0 stars if possible. Don't risk your clothes here. This was my first visit to Chase Cleaners, and it will absolutely be my last. I dropped off a rarely worn blazer in pristine condition and picked it up with a distinct tear (see attached image). Mistakes happen, but what followed when I showed the manager / owner was truly unhinged. Instead of taking responsibility, he was rude, dismissive, and condescending. First he denied it, then was dismissive ("I clean thousands of garments every day, the majority are fine"), and then insulting -- when he literally accused me of tearing my own property to try and scam him. It's laughable. Look, this is Irvine. The notion that anyone around here is trying to scam a dry cleaner out of a few bucks is ridiculous. We have better things to do. Be cautious when using this business. I was a regular customer and was repeatedly charged over $80 for just five pieces of clothing. The employee I believe to be the owner usually handled my transactions -- a short Asian woman with black hair -- consistently charged me these higher prices. On two occasions when she was not present, other employees charged me what appeared to be a much more reasonable price, around $40, which seemed more appropriate for the same services. Additionally, I was once quoted $96 simply to tighten a dress, which felt excessive. I opted out. At the time, I did not question their conduct, but later realized the pricing seemed inconsistent and significantly higher when the owner assisted me. I also noticed that pricing is not clearly posted, which makes it difficult for customers to know what to expect. Beyond pricing concerns, I found the customer service to be poor. There are two locations, Irvine and Tustin, under the same ownership, as a new customer we presented the 30% off coupon (for new customers) and 20% off coupon (if presented at pick-up) to the Irvine location and they (the owner and staff) refused to accept it with all kinds of excuses e.g. not presented at drop-off, etc., totally subpar and "don't care" customer service. I've been a loyal customer of this dry cleaner for over two years, spending more than $1,400 with them during that time. Unfortunately, my recent experience was unacceptable and has ended my relationship with this company. I dropped off my clothes in perfect condition. A week after picking them up, when I went to wear two of my designer shirts -- one worth $2,500 and the other $1,200 -- I found holes in the exact same spot (upper left chest area). I immediately went back to the store and explained what happened, knowing for a fact the damage occurred here. The manager, Lulu, told me they are not responsible for anything once you leave the store. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to work with me. I asked for their insurance information to file a claim -- she refused. I asked multiple times for the owner's contact information -- she refused again. Instead, she told me to "take her to court." I work hard for my money and take pride in my clothing. This level of disregard for customer property and refusal to take responsibility is unacceptable. I strongly encourage anyone who uses this business to thoroughly check every item before leaving the store. Just moved to the area and my apartment is right down the road. I like a dry cleaner with onsite facilities and found Chase Cleaners #2 on Dupont. I had 25 pieces of laundry since I was moving for the last month and could not get to the cleaners. I always dry clean all my clothes, except undergarments and socks, and usually the majority are my French Cuff Dress Shirts which for years have always been laundered. I take them in on a Saturday, I think it was the owner was trying to take my clothes in and was talking on the phone so he was not really paying attention. Look if you need to talk on the phone, I understand but don't try to process an order when your doing something else. Regardless, I had a stain on a dress shirt and showed him at which time he said it should be dry cleaned. I told him that usually laundry does the trick, not my first rodeo, but he stated dry cleaning will get them cleaner. I asked how much a couple of times but he was on the phone and just counted my clothes as pieces even though I had two suits and wanted him to keep the correct pants with the correct jacket since are different materials. No he just counted and it totaled 25 pieces. Out of those 25 pieces, 13 of them should have been laundered, but he did dry clean even though I asked him for laundry. So why do dry clean instead of laundry??? Because he charges $12.00 for dry clean and $5.00 for laundry, so in essence I was overcharged by $7.00 on 13 pieces for a total of $91.00 over the laundry price. My total price was $252.00 at $12.00 a piece. So lesson learned. Just so you know, THEY ARE WORST AND DISHONEST DRY CLEANERS I HAVE EVER USED. I have been getting my dry cleaning done for 35 years, and this is the worst place which just gouges the customers. Very Disappointed with Service and Response I dropped off my husband's leather jacket at this cleaning company almost two months ago. The jacket, which cost $600, had a mold smell after cleaning, and I brought it back immediately to address the issue. To my surprise, the lady at the front desk told me that it's normal for leather to smell like mold after cleaning and that "everyone accepts this smell." This is completely unacceptable to me - not only because I have mold allergies, but also because mold (and its odor) is not something anyone should "accept" on freshly cleaned clothing, especially on expensive leather. When I explained my concern and health issues, the response was essentially, "Sorry, we can't help you." So now I'm left with an expensive jacket that still smells like mold, and no support from the business that cleaned it. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and accountability. Was a satisfied customer up until I had noticed that my pricing on small waist alterations continued to go up each time. So make note because they'll change pricing on you each time. We've been going there for 3 or 4 years and, naturally, over time things happen. We had an issue with a garment (a linen jacket, specifically) and, unlike any cleaners we've been to in the past, they pulled out every stop to make it right. So I found this new cleaners and i have been using them for a few months to clean and do alterations. One of the ladies altered a jacket for me and did a amazing job. I went in today for a alteration of a dress because I have lost 40 pounds. It was a different lady this time and obvious that she did not want to do it when I came in. She told me to try the dress on. Then when I came out she said oh here's a belt , put that on. If I wanted to have the belt on with it I would. Then she says look the belt makes it look better! You don't need it taken in just wear a belt, instead of just doing what I asked her to do when it was clearly room on both sides to be taken in. It was obvious when I came in she did not want to help me. Then as I walked out she says I saved you some money. So rude. 1 Star is for their service. The other star is for my stupidity. In choosing this place, I did not do enough research and so this is karma knocking me on the head telling me what an idiot I am. Based on my prior dry cleaning experience, the 16 pieces I brought in to be dry cleaned should be at most $80-$90 bucks. There were two suits, 3 pants, some dresses, and dress shirts. I naively thought that I should expect the same. Boy was I wrong!! I should have known something was fishy when they didn't ask me to pay for the clothes when I dropped them off. When I picked up my stuff, I was hit in the wallet with a $133+ charge!! There is no price list posted and when you ask for one, they can't really print it out. When they give you your receipt, they give you the total price on the ticket. You need to specially ask for an itemized receipt so you can actually see what things cost. So, for the benefit of the better good, I will be posting my receipts here. Be an informed consumer and know what you're paying for! NEVER.COMING.BACK. I've had a chance to use this business at least three times. The main reason is that they are the closest location to my house. Each time I've picked up my dry-cleaned items, I am just SHOCKED at the high cost. They DO NOT list prices of items in their store or on their website. For this last and final visit, I thought I'd be a bit smarter about it and ask for the price and pay for my purchase ahead of time. It was at least $8 to get a child's tuxedo jacket dry-cleaned. I paid the $8 before leaving and was apparently given a pick-up slip (and not a receipt). However, upon picking it up today, I was asked to pay the $8 again since they apparently have a policy that customers are not allowed to pay ahead of time. Needless to say, this is my LAST TIME using this business. EDIT: To add insult to injury, I discovered the pic while having my son try on the suit. Very bad experience. I only went to this cleaners twice. First time, my shirt was discolored and the second time they cut off the tie back from my very expensive silk top. The first time, when I dropped off my clothes one lady who had just picked up her top was so upset, she kept telling them my shirt was a vibrant green and now it's a dull green, the poor woman was so upset, they had damaged and discolored her beautiful top. I did not receive my 25% Wednesday special coupon discount. I was told I did not get the discount because it was shirts. I explained to the older lady, I presented the coupon to her when I brought shirts in and she did not say anything at that time that it wasn't covered under that coupon. Then she said I should have read the coupon. It would not have been an issue if she mentioned it wasn't covered when I brought shirts into the cleaners, but to blame a customer is not good. I paid for the shirts and explained to her I will not be coming back. Then she started saying God bless you, over and over again. I found that offensive. I am updating my previous review. Short summary: they misdelivered my dress shirt to another customer because of a name mismatch between my wife's name and this other customer. At first, the workers were not helpful and made many excuses, including trying to blame my wife. However, I will give credit when it is warranted. My dress shirt was eventually recovered and they were apologetic, but getting to this point caused a lot of frustration and required expenditure of time on our part -- we had to go to the dry cleaner 3 different times to get this resolved. This is unacceptable and Chase needs to improve in this area or at least don't assume your customer is lying to you when they report a missing article of clothing.
