This review is sort of by association, although I don't live close enough to drop my own clothes off here, I frequently drop off and pick up dry cleaning for my parents. I wanted to say these are some of the nicest business owners. They knew my parents by name and complimented them to me. It was so refreshing and kind. Cara in particular. The clothes always come out impeccable. And they group them by person, which I also like. Drop off and pick up is a breeze. They also offer a service to pick up and drop off for you. They use eco-friendly dry cleaning methods as well. read more

If you are looking to be spoken down to, by the owner no less, or be schooled on the art of dry cleaning, then this is the place to go. I have been going to Cloud9 for several years but dealt mostly with staff members who are usually friendly and that's until I had to deal with the owner. I had an item get compromised during the dry cleaning process and when asked them to fix it I was given a hard time and told that the shirt was cheaply made! The owner went on to tell me how he used the best ingredients and that he spared no cost. Yet, they were not willing to spend 10 bucks to fix a shirt, that they damaged, for a customer that has been going there for years!! They ended up agreeing to fix the shirt but made sure to let me know that this will never happen again. I felt like a schoolchild being reprimanded. I am done with them, already found another place. read more

Beware, you've been forewarned this place is the biggest rip-off I've seen in years. I took my daughter faux leather jacket which she purchased at a thrift store for $10 in to Cloud 9 to be cleaned. They did not tell me the cost, but gave me the bogus story that it had to be cleaned just like leather. When I returned to pick it up they charged me $56.00 dollars. I then took the second almost identical faux leather jacket she purchased to another cleaner in Tustin, down the block and they charged me $4.00. That's right $4.00 dollars. Cloud 9 incidentally charged me $6.95 for the one white men's dress shirt I'd also brought in. Up charging me as though it was a woman's blouse and when I took the small shirt into the new dry cleaners they charged me $2.00. I found Cloud 9 to just gouge people for all they can get. Anyone who goes there, if they do their homework, will realize what a rip-off this place is. P.S. I am intentionally not providing the name of my new dry cleaner because I don't want anyone to feel I am writing this to enhance their business. I'm just a guy who is tired of getting ripped off by people with no conscience. read more

I've been going to Cloud 9 for years, and I couldn't be happier with their service. They genuinely care about their customers' clothes and are true professionals when it comes to their business. My clothes look brand new every time , and I could tell they took great pride in their work. Five stars without a doubt! read more

I've used so many dry cleaners over the decades ... from one of the country to the other. What makes the most difference to me is the quality of work in pressing dress shirts. No ironed in creases, no collars ironed askew, the cuffs presses correctly. Cloud 9 is as good at this as any place I've been. Everything is always pressed perfectly. In addition, the attention they give to the individual garment for how to clean, special care needed, and communicating with you about any concerns for the proper care of your piece. Highly recommend .... Great service from great people read more

I've been coming to Cloud 9 for over two years and not once have they let me down. They're reliable and the staff are very friendly whenever I stop. Great value for the exceptional work they provide. read more

Cloud 9 is the best--extremely reliable, provide pick up and delivery, always do a great job. Highly recommend!

I've been using Cloud 9 Cleaners for 18 years. They are the best. The clothes always look great and they do some repairs when necessary. Sometimes John, the owner, calls to describe problems and ask if I want a repair or whether to clean something that is fragile and might sustain damage. He is the only cleaner who has ever given me regular phone calls to discuss problems with clothing items. I recommend Cloud 9 to all my friends and neighbors. Chris M. read more

Amazing neighborhood dry cleaner!!! I love the owner he's always so responsive and professional -he is invested in making sure you're always happy with the results let alone staying open for a few rushes with fast turn around times. Thank you thank you!!!! read more

I just paid $6.20 for one shirt to be dry cleaned (likely because it is a woman's dress shirt as opposed to a men's shirt). It doesn't look like anything special but what an outrageous price for one piece of clothing. Quality is normal dry cleaning but don't need to go back for those prices. read more

This was my first time seeking dry cleaning for bedding. Cloud 9 was the place to go. John really took care of my needs and paid close attention to the state of my item. I appreciate that closeness to detail. Thank you so much and I will definitely be back! read more

If you are looking for a dry-cleaner that cleans as if it was their own clothes? This is the place for you. The care and attention that they put into cleaning every item is without doubt the best. You can find a cheap dry cleaner anywhere, but how clean are your items really getting? For quality service, go to Cloud 9. read more

So I just called them to ask about their prices and this was their response: "We are about half the price of nearby dry cleaners. Where do you usually go to get your clothes dry cleaned? I can get a better idea of what the pricing may be." Do your prices vary depending on where I take my clothes? Do you price match with your competitors and give us the lowest rate? (Probably not judging by the four "$" marked on your Yelp page.) Why can't you give me a definitive answer? You started saying it might be $2.75 for a laundry shirt, then "it might go up to $2.95."?? If I brought my Armani shirt, are you going to up-charge me? Word to the wise, do not give attitude to someone who is about to bring you business. I asked nicely and you slashed back with "I'm short-staffed today I need to cut this short," and hanging up on a potential customer is not the best way to upkeep your image. Whoever worked today and picked up the phone, you need to get your head out of that dark crevice and handle things more appropriately. I rather wash my clothes with my hand in the tub than take it to this jerk's establishment. read more

Gotta love they are organic and don't use harsh chemicals. I have sensitive skin so I don't like chemicals on my clothing. They do the best job with work uniforms than any other cleaners Ive been to. I always check my dry cleaned clothing before I leave. If not satisfied, they've cleaned it again to my satisfaction. read more

John and his team always do a great job of making sure my clothes are looking great! I especially love the pickup and delivery service.

This is one of the best cleaners hands down. They were able to take my clothes covered in peanut butter and get them completely clean when I had a spill absolutely amazing. The owner is on site and very Hands-On you get what you pay for. read more

This is one of the best places I have been using over the past few years they are professional , prompt and the pick and delivery service has been a great service for us , I have moved twice on the past ten years but still kept the same cleaners because when you have such great service there is no need to look elsewhere read more

You've got to understand what salience bias is before you read the other reviews. People are going to go to a dry cleaner a thousand times with wonderful consistency and not say a thing. Then another person after one bad experience, will come and speak negatively. I've been going here for a year and have only ever experienced professionalism, quality, and clean clothes. Once the owner called me to ask if he could care fory clothes in another way which would save me money...... Where else do you get that kind of service? read more

Thought I'd try this location despite a few bad reviews. The guy asked me my phone number about 3 times. Couldn't get it right. Then told me not to give him my area code. Had to ask again a couple times. When he still couldn't get it, I told him I was a New Customer. He said, "you should have told me that!" I said he should have asked. Asked for my number again. Finally we were on to my name. I clearly said "Ken", and spelled "K-e-n". Nope, asked me again. So I raised my voice. He just mumbled "I'm not going to help you". Went on to the next Customer. Good luck to him. read more

I live in Tustin about five minutes from here. It is the dry cleaning next to Trader Joe's on Newport and Irvine. I never came here because I knew it was very expensive. I needed to go to a cleaners last minute and didn't care how much I had to pay so I took a couple shirts here. I was told that each shirt is $5 to dry clean. I was dumfounded how expensive it was. I usually get my shirts done for $1.99 or $2.50. While I was waiting in line to pick up my shirts I struck up conversation with the person that was standing in front of me. He was agreeing with me on how expensive it was. I was telling him the dry cleaner I usually go to charges a lot less. Within 30 mins of leaving the cleaners I received a voicemail from the owner of Cloud 9 that I have never even seen or spoken to. He left me a message accusing me of coming into his store and trying to convince his customers to go to another dry cleaner. He said "I dont appreciate you coming into my store and telling customers about other peoples prices". I called him back and he said "you have no right to come in my store and talk about other dry cleaning services". I told him that I have freedom of speech and it was a personal conversation I was having with someone else. I told him it was ridiculous that he was calling me andI would never go back to his store and he told me that I would be doing him a favor by not coming to his establishment. I am so dumfounded by all this. He took my number and called me without consent just to disrespect me. I cannot believe this place is still in business. The owner is so unprofessional and rude and I encourage everyone to take their business elsewhere. Actually, there is a great dry cleaner off of Jamboree and Irvine Blvd next to Ralph's that charges half the price, does better work, and has nice employees. Don't waste your time or your money on people that don't care about their customers or their community. read more

This is an excellent drycleaner for high-end labels. My parents live in the area, so when I visit I usually bring along some of my couture pieces to Cloud 9. They have done an excellent job on my St. John suits. Ladies who own high-end labels know how hard it is to find drycleaners who know the special care these garments need. I agree with the other reviews to the extent that if you have casual clothing that doesn't require special handling, the price could seem high compared to others around town. BUT if you have classic, quality pieces that you intend to keep looking fresh and new for many years, this is the place to bring them. I know for a fact that their prices are very, very reasonable and they charge me the same whether it's a $150 Ann Klein suit, or a $1500 St John set. The only time they have charged more is when the piece needs special care, like intricate lace and beading, which I love. I have never had any problems with the staff or the owner. He is always friendly and I llke that he is very knowledgeable about high-end fabrics and what needs to be done to clean them right. I have also noticed that the drycleaning done at Cloud 9 doesn't have an annoying chemcial smell that I need to air out even if it hangs in the closet for months before I wear it again. This was a problem for me when I tried some of the low cost cleaners around town with my casual wear. I noticed that if I don't wear the piece within a week or so, there would be a stale smell and the fabric loses the softness that was there when I first brought it home. I am very happy with Cloud 9 and would definitely recommend them to my friends. read more

This place is horrible. Was told 4 days to get a few shirts done. When arrived for promised pick up they didn't even know where my clothes were and they obviously weren't ready. They couldn't even tell me when they would be ready. Obviously this place is too busy for new customers. I will be taking my business somewhere else...as soon as I retrieve my hostages shirts! Unacceptable! read more

My parents have been using these cleaners for years now. They have a delivery service which is incredibly convenient, I just went on here to review them and was SHOCKED by how few ratings they had a few negative responses gives this business such a bad name that it does not deserve! I took my wedding dress here right before my wedding and they went above and beyond to help me out and clean it then bring it to my parents' house... i am so incredibly impressed with the service! If you have nice clothes that you need to dry clean it is worth an extra buck, they take great care of your things and are so kind! I would recommend them to anyone! read more

There are so many dry cleaners to choose from and I am so happy I found this one! This place was conveniently located near my grocery store so it made it that much easier. I have been coming here for many years and they never disappoint! Everything is returned perfectly laundered and the owner John, is very nice. A couple times he has phoned me advising me what needed to be done. I never questioned him since he always knew best! He also suggested the delivery service they offer. I wasn't sure in the beginning but it works out perfectly? !! At no additional charge, you leave out a bag for pick up he supplies you with and your garments are picked up AND dropped off in a timely manner!! He told me I would be happy with the service and indeed I am! read more

At a time when quality, and superior customer service are hard to find we greatly appreciate a business like Cloud 9 Cleaners. We also take advantage of their delivery which is a wonderfully convenient service not many others offer. We were surprised to read negative reviews towards the owner as he has been nothing but kind, friendly, respectful, and extremely accomodating. Yes their prices may be a bit higher but we are more than willing to pay them to recieve an excellent service in return. It is saddening when finding the lowest prices regardless of quality becomes a priority. No wonder so many small businesses are forced to close their doors. Thank you Cloud 9 for another fantastic year of service! read more

We used this cleaner for over 5 years. During that time, they've ruined 3 different shirts. The first time the owner said the rip was likely due to age of material (it was fairly new, but whatever). The second time the shirt had two matching tears in the arms, clearly from a machine. I didn't bring it to their attention as the shirt wasn't all that expensive and it was in May 2020 (middle of covid and I felt bad for a small business owner). This final time I brought it to his attention and he said "that couldn't have been my shop". Now, at this point, I'm getting frustrated that this man never takes ownership for anything. I said it absolutely was from their cleaner. He preceded to look up my account history over the past year and tell me that the $300 I've spent in the last 12 months is nothing compared to his other clients, so he won't miss the business. WHAT? Never again will I go there and I highly advise others to not as well. Worst customer service ever. Zero empathy for a frustrated customer, told me I was lying and my business isn't worth it. read more

Quick facts: I just discovered MULTIPLE ITEMS hanging in my closet for MONTHS WERE NOT ACTUALLY CLEANED BY CLOUD 9!! After paying $$$ for services, they handed back dirty clothes appearing to have been serviced, hanging on their hangers & covered in plastic!! **Longer story: I took a number of dresses, a blazer, & 2 vintage faux fur & corduroy coats (I had just purchased) here about 6 months back. I simply haven't had an opportunity to wear one single item to date. I just started taking off the clear plastic off everything today after learning one shouldn't store clothing that way. I was horrified to just discover after paying Cloud 9 Cleaners a hefty bill to clean & press the specialty bundle of clothing, nothing was actually cleaned!! See pix. My Roberto Cavalli dress is still covered in make up and dog hair. (I wore that dress in February!) How could something that obvious be missed & put on a fresh hanger??!? One vintage coat had a "note to customer" attached to hanger about needing to contact me about performing "wet cleaning" & repairing a pocket --which was still torn to pieces. No one spoke a word to me about this. Quite obviously it hasn't been cleaned/repaired. Frankly it wouldn't shock me to know I paid additional cost. All of this, unbeknownst to me, hanging this way in my closet for the next time I go to wear it!!!!! Make up stains should be removed promptly. I just hope there's not permanent damage. I've definitely dealt with a few hiccups with this place in the past & I've never really done back flips over their customer service, the girl there always seems to be in a mood, but after spending $100 and getting back torn & filthy clothing?!!?!! I've been totally robbed & insulted! What's more, I STILL have to pay another dry cleaner to have this all cleaned/repaired!!!!!!!!! ZERO STARS! Buyer beware!! Especially with rare unique vintage & high end labels!! read more

Best cleaners in OC! Have used many cleaners through the years, but making the switch to Cloud 9 over 8yrs ago has proven to be the best decision ever! If you are looking for a nice, professional dry cleaners. This is the one. Been using them for years. Highly recommend them.

We have been customers of Jon's for years. We have always been impressed with the high level of customer service and the quality of the dry cleaning. Recently I had to take a blouse last minute to another local dry cleaner. When I picked up my blouse it looked terrible. This experience made me realize what an amazing job Jon does on every piece of our clothing. They come back looking brand new!! Jon even delivered a dress I needed on his way home on a Friday night. This is the only dry cleaner we will ever use!! Jon is a true professional who goes above and beyond. Thank you Jon and your staff! read more

Have been doing business with Cloud 9 cleaners for over 5 years and not once was disappointed. Their customer service is amazing, eye for detail and perfection is unparallel. The owner John is all about customer service and perfection. He notices every lose button, every snug and calls to ask if I would like it fixed! Where else would you find such attention and care toward your garments? They do pick up and delivery twice a week, always on time! They take pride in what they do, unlike some other cleaners that used wrong chemicals and ruined a very expensive dress of mine . Here they are all about detail and doing the job right. Hard to find! read more
