It also happened to be my birthday. According to the company's website, they advertise a $10 birthday discount. However, when we arrived to pick up the clothes and requested the discount, we were informed that it only applies after establishing business with them for one year. This requirement is not stated anywhere on the website, which makes the promotion feel misleading. When we pointed this out, the employee claimed there was no way to apply the discount in their system. After a prolonged discussion, they ultimately offered only a 10% discount instead. Overall, the pricing is excessively high, and the promotional information on the website appears inaccurate or poorly communicated. This place is just wildly expensive, like more expensive than dry cleaning at a fancy resort. Because of this, we didn't end up getting our stuff cleaned there, so I can't comment on the quality. My impression from the detail on these receipts is that they take their work quality seriously, and they definitely examined the garments closely. But other details weren't great -- they called us with a question but got our phone number wrong, didn't pick up when we did call (just to check on things), and so when we came to get our things they had not even started work. read more

The item I referenced for pickup three months later was the cloth American flag, which your staff claimed had been donated--not the shirt you're now referencing. Secondly, I want to make it clear that at no point did I accuse you or your team of being dishonest. I understand that mistakes happen--items get misplaced or miscommunicated. Dishonest? No... Rude, inflexible, and insolent? Absolutely. As for the condition of the shirt: the stains were not simply "dust accumulation I've attached photos for clarity. Anyone can see it's grime, likely the result of it being dragged across your conveyor system over time. If it were dust, it would have settled more evenly, not just in one spot. Regarding the disputed charge: as stated in my original post, I initiated the challenge only after not hearing back from you for nearly three weeks. When I said, "you're not my priority," it was in response to explaining why I hadn't called the bank yet, to reverse the charge. You might remember--that was after you said your lawyer would be contacting me. (Still waiting on that) Further, Pierre, if your reviews and your team matter as much to you as you say they do, I'd strongly suggest reconsidering how you handle situations like this. Threatening legal action over $28, yelling on the phone, and hanging up on a client is not a good look. At no point did I raise my voice or make it personal. You let your emotions get the better of you--and frankly, your clients and your staff deserve better. Lastly, I tried to resolve this privately, but after weeks with no response and an unprofessional call, I feel it's important to share my experience. I've given View Cleaners more than one chance, and both experiences were awful. First, I brought in a pair of jeans to be hemmed, and they completely botched the job. The stitching was uneven and sloppy. I had to take them to another tailor just to fix the mess they made. Still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I later brought in two shirts and a sweatshirt to have some stains removed. The sweatshirt came out just okay, but nothing impressive. As for the two t-shirts, it honestly looked like they hadn't even tried the stains were untouched, and I could have done a better job with a stain remover at home. To top it all off, the staff is rude and dismissive. For the prices they charge, you'd expect at least decent work and basic customer service but you'll get neither here. **Be aware that this business has an "F" rating with Better Business Bureau and is not BBB accredited. I was referred here by another eco cleaner due to a move away from my previous cleaner. Was very happy to have an eco cleaner close by. Dropped my items off and she did not provided an itemized receipt, but I thought it was just because they were busy and she didn't have time. When I went to pick my items up, I mentioned not having an itemized receipt and the lady seemed a bit standoffish when explaining that I'd have to wait 20 minutes for an itemized receipt when dropping my items off next time. They "only provide itemization at the back counter" per her instructions. She said they'd also call to provide a pricing quote before cleaning but who wants to be inconvenienced by having to go back and pick up their uncleaned items if the prices are too high? I did not feel comfortable talking to her, felt talked down to. When I got my total I couldn't believe the price. Over $70 for three items--a jacket ($22), short dress ($38), and blouse ($16.50). I luckily used a $10 coupon from Yelp, which the lady sounded suspect of initially. I also brought a pair of pants to inquire about getting altered. It would've been a simple hem adjustment and taking in the waist just a little. The tailor was out so she guesstimated that the cost would've been an insane $60. I will just make the alterations myself. Overall, I feel tricked by the way they handle lack of ease to find pricing. It feels like they know their prices are ridiculous and purposely try to hide it. Adding on to my review to the below response from Mr. Pierre C. Yes, the last time I dry cleaned this garment was at your dry cleaners in June of 2023. Since that point, I kept the garment stored in my closet in the plastic garment bag for the season that View Cleaners provided (ironically you have an instagram post advising people to do this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3bMstDPfHq/?igsh=ZWI2YzEzYmMxYg==). I had faith that View Cleaners would not have done this to my jacket without alerting me. Little did I know that the inside was completely ruined and melted off when I took the garment out this week. Secondly, while you sound cordial in the Yelp response, when I was in the store - you immediately told me it was mold caused by my humid home. Then you retracted that statement and then told me it was my make up. The inside is melted off - how is that mold or make up? A test by DLI would prove it is neither of what you suggested - would you be open to sending the garment to have it properly analyzed? What proof can you provide me that your process failed? Instead of accusing your guest of logically untrue statements, maybe you should actually examine the clothes and see what chemical you used. As a business owner, you didn't even have the decency to apologize and sympathize. Instead you immediately made accusations that are not backed up by any fact. As a dry cleaner I would hope that you know clothes not only have financial value but also sentimental value. You should take proper care before creating irreparable damage. When I brought the jacket in I specifically asked if this jacket would be fine to dry clean since it is nylon and coated on the inside. You stated that there would be no problems and you have 30 years experience. Lastly, as I mentioned in email, we will take this response from you as your preference that I pursue reporting you to the BBB and also taking this to small claims court. this is the absolute worst cleaners. first of all they dropped off somebody's stuff along with mine and charged me over $700. then when I complained about having someone else's stuff here, it took a lot of convincing to be reimbursed for paying for someones laundry. I came to realize my belongings had been washed and mixed with this other persons belongings. I had someone else's undergarments with mine. not to mention i have yet to receive my clothing or even a follow up call as I was told would happen over a week ago. Update: They significantly *up-charge* you at checkout if you had any designer brands, and they're not good at tailoring. 3 suit shirts for dry cleaning typically costs me $15-$20 total but here today they charged me $63 because of their Armani label. The 10+ yr old shirts are part of my regular work attire and regularly getting dry cleaned, so I have a pretty good reference for pricing and this falls far beyond the range of my past experiences. In over 10 years i never once had a problem with my shirts being dry cleaned at the $7 per range , so I do feel taken advantage of by View Cleaners unexpectedly charging me $20 per at check out. This is the same unethical business practice as plumbers who charge customers differently based on the type of car in their driveway. Yes of course I recognize my shirts may have required a little more work, but not enough to merit a 200% increase. Ps- In March they did a very subpar job on 4 jeans i had tailored by them. I took them all elsewhere to correct. Never posted about it b/c i felt bad but not anymore now that I am having a second bad experience. CHECK PRICING FIRST This is the only negative review I've ever left on Yelp; my family has owned small businesses for generations so I tend to understand the issues facing entrepreneurs and take that into consideration. My other reviews are all for businesses that did a fantastic job and I wanted others to know they can feel confident in the services offered. That said... I'm new to Irvine and got the Explore OC coupon book in the mail. I decided to try View Cleaners in Parkview Center and got sticker shock! They charge $20 to clean ONE polyester, conservative work dress, and gave no estimate of pricing on the claim ticket or at drop off. I picked up six pieces (four dresses, one skirt, and one floor-length dress) and my total bill was $118.36; since I got two of these items for free, purchased three for $6-8 each at thrift stores, and got the gown at the Rack for a special occasion, I almost left them there but need half of them for my summer internship. After the coupon I paid almost $95. The (friendly, helpful) girl at View said their pricing starts at $20 for dresses in general; I did not ask about what variables might increase that amount. Irvine is pricey, so I wondered how View compares to its closest competitors: maybe I was just overreacting? The closest I found is University Park Cleaners. They charge $14 for similar dresses, plus $1 if the piece is lined or made of silk or linen, and $2 if it is beaded. That's a full 30% lower than View Cleaners, and they will provide an estimate at drop-off upon request. The girl who answered the phone was patient, friendly, and answered my questions clearly and completely. I also called Yes Cleaners in Walnut Village Center on Culver and learned they charge $10-14 for dresses, with extra fees for special fabrics or length. The customer service at View was great and, though I haven't unwrapped the clothing, I assume the cleaning service was good. My clothes are neatly pressed and hung, so maybe it would be good for an occasional splurge on your favorite clothing item? As for me, I asked them to return the dress I had just dropped off for cleaning, collected my items, and do not plan to return. Next time, I'm checking Yelp before I try a new business. They have a check in deal, that they don't even accept. The check in deal is for 50% off on Dry Cleaning Pick up or Delivery. The first time I came to get my shirt dry cleaned and pressed (tried the coupon and they gave me some excuse). The shirt cost about $5 to dry clean. The second time was for my girlfriend's dress. Not a huge amount of cloth or anything just a small simple skirt. This cost $20. She tried to use the check in deal as well, but they gave her some sort of excuse as well. This place never gives you the price it will cost and does not accept their own coupons which state "50% off on dry cleaning only." AVOID this place. They are crooks trying to take your money. Edit: I got a phonecall from the owner and he informed me that the yelp deal is for "pickup and delivery only" -- which means they pick up the clothes from your place, clean it, and deliver it back to you. I will give them another try when I'm around Irvine again, but for now I will place my rating back on the average they have (3). read more

I have been a regular customer for about 2 years. They are fabulous! I have a regularly scheduled pickup and delivery. It is so convenient because I travel a lot for work. I never have to worry about picking up during business hours. The are super reliable. I want to especially thank them for their wonderful employees and outstanding service!! Quality, clean, friendly, professional and superior from the quality of their work to a satisfactory customer service experience. A little on the pricey side; however, you are paying for the top/superior quality of their work and you will notice the difference upon retrieving your garments/items. I brought in a cotton knit dress and was charged $24 dollars for the cleaning. A well worn dress not soiled or stained and when I questioned the price I was told that Theory is an expensive brand so it costs more to clean. So if you bring in a Valentino or Dolce Gabbana the charge will probably run over $100 dollars I presume. I called in to question since they had quoted $15.95 for a regular dress but was told that it was not a mistake and I can choose not to come again. Perfect customer care! Yikes! Hm, I actually like View Cleaners! Sad to see that they have such poor reviews on yelp. However, yes they are a bit more pricey compared to other dry cleaners, and pricing is pretty vague as each piece is priced differently. The bf has been a customer here for years and years, we just drop off our dry cleaning in the little orange bag they gave us, it has our name tag on it, and we get our clothes all neat and ready hanging on our front door by the end of the week. I've once sent in a blouse that had a missing button, they kept that shirt for almost two weeks looking for a replacement button! I know it sounds ridiculous, but I actually appreciated it because it was an unusual button and I could see how it would be difficult to scour around for a similar one. When I got it back, it wasn't the exact button, but I appreciated the effort and knew it was far closer than I would have been able to do on my own. The receipts they attach are very informational, they include the brand of your clothing and other descriptors. We've never had any problem with them and really like their delivery system. read more

This business gets my vote for convenience and quality purposes. Reliable, quick turnaround time, open late on weekdays (7PM), and I think they are open Sundays. They send out email notifications when your dry cleaning is available for pickup. Smaller but important perks to add beyond their actual services- is the friendly staff and the keurig coffee, cookies, and candy readily available in the front for customers. Quite frankly, not the cheapest spot for dry cleaning (show me somewhere in irvine thats cheap)--but with that said, I have no complaints about their work (dry cleaning or pant alterations) for the past 8 years. read more

They have a little kureg machine for coffee. They will email you when your order is ready -- mine was 1 day early than the estimated time. It took a few days for just one item (trench coat). I thought it was really expensive -- like $14 for one trench coat, and that's after their 15% off Yelp check-in discount. The location is beyond convenient for me, so that made up for the price I guess. I wouldn't bring loads of clothes here. If you want to use that discount, make sure you show it to them when you drop off not when you pick up! read more

BUT, I had to take here as I was doing all of my errands that day in that location so it only made sense gas wise to take here. I actually think that this place is not THAT bad. It's not the best dry cleaning I've had for my clothes but its not the worst. I have been here twice and I think that the customer service was actually pretty good. The lady was really nice. Other than that.... I brought in a silk dress here the first time and they did a really good job. The only thing was I thought it was a little pricey but everything in irvine is pricey so I'm not complaining. The second time I came here, I brought in a silk shirt. There was this stain that I wanted to get rid of but view cleaners weren't able to get it off. I think I paid good money but I guess they just weren't able to do a good job on my shirt. Honestly, I just came here twice because its right next to my house. It was in a convenient location.
