I love this bakery, lived in Miami for most of my life and it definitely keeps my bakery cravings satisfied. I usually get their fried empanadas, today I tried the Baked ham And Cheese empanadas and was disappointed! I could tell most of the cheese filling oozed out on the sides of the empanada but I was left eating dough with a few pieces of ham. Definitely will not be buying their baked empanadas (which are more expensive than the fried). Pan De Bono is always great and my little one loves the ham croquettes. read more

If I could get them zero stars, I would. I arrived. They were taking care of a customer. There's three workers out at 7:30 AM. I stopped to Vicky bakery for the first time I visit this location. I feel discriminated disappointed. I was told I had to wait until it was my turn which I did for five minutes. When it was my turn, they took my order and then they started taking the next customer order before I finish mine. They are no point in time. Did they tell that customer to wait for their turn, the greedy at customer and took her order before any other customer there which I was there, and it was my turn. There's a lot of Vicky bakeries, but this one in particularly is one of the worst as customer service when I ask for a manager or a supervisor the girl who I was asking tells me she's the manager supervisor, which is the person who was mistreating me just because I am young. You are not entitled to mistreat your customers. Specially, a first time customer the worst experience. Now I'm not even happy to drink this coffee. It ruined my whole morning. read more

Broward locations.. yes! Very cute mainly Latino bakery. I'm a huge fan of their cafe con leche and colada. Their sandwiches are also pretty yummy, the midnight sandwich or then steak sandwich. Classic sandwiches. I'm not too sure if it's a Cuban restaurant per say. Their Pastelitos are my number favorite app to bring to any get together, work function, game night etc. They have platters of small pastries, a combination like cheese/guava/beef, or single platters of bocaditos sandwiches, croquets or guava and cheese. These pastries are sometime readily available. But you should call to place an order ahead of time just so that it's fresh, made to order and you're gonna want to order a few platters for parties anyways. They're so good. Oh they also have one of those freshly squeezed orange juice machine. So you know those are always good. Besides that, when you walk in there's a rows of sweet treats like tiramisu, cheesecake, tres leches, rice pudding, mini cakes, more pastries. Love this bakery. I spent my afternoon doing homework at Vicky's Bakery. I got a large cafe con leche to start with the intention of getting a snack after a few pages of my essay materialized. I ordered and my drink was ready before I even got my computer plugged in. The cafe con leche was DELICIOUS, filled with sugar like the Cubans do, and thick and creamy. Before I knew it, my drink was gone. Unfortunately, I had planned to drink coffee with my snack, so I left myself in a bit of a pickle. I compromised with nobody and ordered another cafe con leche, small this time, and a slice of the rum cake. I've never had rum cake, so I can't call myself an expert. Something in the name made me think it would be moist, almost wet even. But it was surprisingly a little dry. I don't know if it was just the 4:00 PM bakery dryness or if the cake is supposed to be that dry, but I didn't love it. I ate the whole slice so I can't say it was the worst thing I've ever eaten, but I likely wouldn't order it again. All in all, come for the coffee, stay for the WiFi, ignore the rum cake. read more

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. When I first came in there was a display of pastries. I have such a sweet tooth and it was cool to see all types of pastries they had to offer. I tried the "Charlotte" which has a base layer of chocolate cake and in the middle is chocolate mouse and the top part was dulce de leche, all of the flavors were phenomenal together. I had the dark sensation from the bottom and as soon as I hit the middle it was like this creamy delicious flavor. The top part had a chocolate coating which was a nice touch to the pastry as well. Secondly, I got the fruit tart, it was pretty average just like any other fruit tart. I think I'm more of a cake person though. The prices are pretty cheap, the pastries that I got were like $3 a piece. The atmosphere was nice and clean as well. I would definitely come back to try their other baked goods as well as the food that they offer which are like sandwiches and what not. However, it would be convenient to have a menu of all the pastries listed as well as the prices so that you're not surprised when you pay for the pastry up front. read more

So I moved from Davie to Central Florida, and Vicky's decided to open up in the old hookah shop and totally re-invigorate the spot! I'm a bit sad this wasn't here when I lived around the corner. Perhaps this is best for my waistline.... Anyway, decent service (better than other locations I've been to), the best pastelitos in the area, and a great Cortadito. Glad I had some time to swing by before returning to Central Florida. Always glad to get my fix of Cuban Coffee and pastries. Growing up in Broward we're not as blessed as our neighbors in Miami with Cuban bakery's, but Vickys located in Davie near Nova Drive is the BEST in the area and is my local Cuban fix. You can smell the fresh baked goods the moment you walk in. They are doing an amazing job with social distancing during COVID by using plexi glass shields in front of the cash register, food/drink pick up area, and at the tables. There are also "stand here" stickers placed on the floor. Try the medianoche sandwich, it has become my favorite menu item with a Jupiña of course. Came here to get some quick cuban food but man I was disappointed was looking forward to some good cuban food. Asked for a turkey and Swiss sandwich and on the menu states lettuce and tomato comes with the sandwich. At the register she said "tomato and onion?" So settled for tomato but also asked for ham which was extra. Ordered a drink and two pastries. Food came out they forgot my drink, forgot my other pastry, and the sandwich came with literally just turkey and Swiss. Also the bread was awful, if you are a Cuban place why not just use Cuban bread as your sandwich bread?? Will not be coming back unfortunately. Go to the one in Hialeah instead. read more

This coffee house is now open near Nova University! They don't deliver, but you can order through any of the food delivery solutions now available, such as Doordash. Some of my co-workers and I have ordered from them, and then one of us drives there to pick it up. We really like they're mini pastry trays of 25 for less than $10. They offer all of the fabulous Cuban treats they're known for; like the Cuban Sandwich, Medianoche, Pan con Lechon, etc., as well as pastelitos, croquetas, cakes, flan, cortaditos, lattes, espressos and so much more. I love their fresh-squeezed orange juice, and their mamey, mango and wheat shakes! This is now my favorite, because of the decor; not to mention the great customer service. This location off of University is so much nicer than the one in Cooper city. Ample seating, up-to-date flooring and facilities, and best of all no flies around the counters. The sandwiches, croquetas, pastelitos, and café con leche all pass with flying colors. Everything was tasty and fresh. They also had plenty of staff so I didn't have too wait long to get any of my food. I'll definitely be driving the extra couple minutes to come to this location more often. read more

This is my second time I visit this establishment the first time was horrible so I decided to give it another try. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. The pastry's in the dessert cabinet looks very appealing to the eyes don't be fooled they are old and staled. The reason for that as I was told by one employee is that they don't throw them away they put the old ones in front to sell first and the fresh ones towards the back when I got home I had to throw them all away. My husband and I went in and ordered 2 sandwich and we waited 30 minutes only to be told that we still had to wait because there was still ordered ahead of us. I then asked for a refund and was told I could not get all my money back! So, you are you charging me just to walk into your facility? After I told the young lady it's been 30 mins plus we left a tip on the card and GOOD SERVICE would have been to give us something for the inconvenience. She proceeded to tell me "she needed to charge me for something." Service and wait times at this location is HORRIBLE! Yet their customer service is the worst I seen in some time , also there is no point to order ahead since they will charge your card then say they never got the order . This is what happened to my wife and I - we ordered the day before - and here we come to pick up our order and are stared at like we have three heads, then the attitude of the workers is disgusting. So not only did they charge my card , they also did not complete the order , and now I have to get something else that was not part of my original order since they don't have it . This is one of the nicest Vicky Bakery's that I go to and their rewards are great for regular customers. Everything there tastes great. The displays are very nicely set up and everything looks clean. The only issue is 2 of the younger girls that just started working there not too long ago. They are too slow for the rush that the bakery gets in the mornings. They stand there on their phones or talking and laughing when there's a line all the way to the door of people waiting to place their orders and others waiting for their orders and online orders. One of them even gave someone an attitude when they asked how long it would take. It honestly is a shame coming to such a nice place with great food but one or two employees just leaving a bad taste in your mouth. Perhaps it's because I came in the evening (around 6 PM) that my visit was average. Most of the pastries seemed to be gone at this time which is understandable, but luckily they still had the ones I wanted. I ordered a cheese croquetta which tasted as good as they usually do, a cheese tequeno and a spinach empanada. The tequeno was okay just cold, but the worst part was the empanada. I've never been to this Vicky's location but I've been to several others and they've never made their spinach empanadas like they do here. The dough they used was different than the other empanadas and seemed like some kind of multi grain mix? Not sure but it was pretty awful almost tasting burnt without it appearing burnt. Having used to live in Miami I've frequented many Vicky's locations that have better tasting and quality pastries. read more

What a great addition to the area! I've never been to any Vicky Bakery location before, so was pleasantly surprised by the modern cafe atmosphere, the variety of items offered, and the value. Vicky Bakery Davie has a large selection of ready-to-buy cakes, pastries, cookies, pastelitos, empanadas and other items. Most are displayed in well-lit display cases and definitely look appetizing. If you want something sweet or savory, they have something for you. Their coffee selection is impressive as well. Sandwiches are made to order from a menu posted on an electronic sign that flash rotated really quickly. This was super annoying and resulted in people standing around trying to read at least one or two items before it switched off again and then had to wait for it to return to the menu so you could start reading it again and try to get to the next item. I hope they fix this. On this first trip, I ordered a lechon asado sandwich (roast pork). It came out just as warm and delicious as I'd hoped. I remember thinking the price was crazy reasonable ($5.99 I think?). They have typical Cuban sandwiches, media noche sandwiches, and others as well. Of course, I got a small sweet for dessert too, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I think this is the only Cuban cafe/bakery in the University Drive/Tower Shops area, and it doesn't disappoint. This my first time coming here to buy one of there cakes . It was for my wife's bday . I purchased a rum cake . Kept it in the fridge of course and come night time all my family is gathered around to sing happy bday . When I took out the cake I noticed the rum literally pouring out of the cake .
