I'm really sad to say it, but quality here has dropped drastically. I hadn't been by in a little while, but was really shocked at the state of things. My arepa was rock hard - literally stale, inedible outside. I ate the meat, but the rest was horrible. My orange juice was warm when I got it fresh from the machine which seems really questionable, and the inside of our cheese bread loaf was raw. Like.... Completely uncooked dough raw. The only saving grace of the order was the Cuban sandwich, which was as expected. This was a magnificent store in Welleby Square plaza with plenty of unobstructed parking including two EV spaces. The bakery counter was fully stocked with the traditional pastries including Tres Leches, Diplomatico, Caramel Cheesecakes, Venezualan Empanadas, Cheese Tequeno and Ham Croquetas. The staff were super friendly and even brought out my espresso and Pan de Bono to my outside patio table, which was baked perfectly with a light crust and moist inside. Love coming here for a quick & authentic breakfast. A good amount of tables inside and outside, service is always friendly & quick. The food is always hot and their juices are always fresh! Only complaint is some items don't have the full ingredients listed, for example my boyfriend got the breakfast wrap and was taken aback with the peppers that were added in as they were not listed as an ingredient under the item on the menu. I'm sure it was in the mix with the potatoes but still would have liked to know beforehand. If your coming for breakfast expect to wait in a mild line for a couple of minutes as it's a popular breakfast spots especially to the Latin community. They have some Hispanic/Venezuelan favorites including empanadas and other types of baked goods. They are also great for having a good selection of cakes including a full size tres leches cake. I personally order their cakes when it's my parents' birthday! I usually buy a couple of empanadas for breakfast or lunch. This is located in the Welleby Plaza at the corner of Oakland Park and Nobb Hill. A plus for them, as ample parking space is available. Upon entering the store, social distancing was enforced. It was clean and had a fresh scent. Dine-in was available, with mask off only when eating. The staff was very welcoming and greeted my mom and me as we entered. The store was brightly lit with warm tones that created a welcoming atmosphere. There was a black and white graphic wall of menu items to the back, suitable for a perfect photo opt. With so many options to choose from, it took us a while to order. While deciding on what to order, we were offered two complimentary slices of cake, which unfortunately was spoilt. I decided to still give them a chance by ordering food. After talking with the cashier we settled on the Chaufa, Pernil Sandwich, and Pabe Bowl. Once we placed our orders, it took approximately 10 minutes to receive our food. Everything smelled good and was fresh. Pabe Bowl is a mix of shredded pork, plantains, black beans, and white rice. Chaufa is a Peruvian fried rice mix and I added chicken. Pernil Sandwich - baked pork with lettuce and tomato. The meals were all well proportioned, and flavorful. My only complaint is, I found the Chaufa a bit soft and salty. Overall good service and meals were reasonably priced. I will go back. *** spoilt cake. read more

Everything is made fresh everyday and they also have natural orange juice which I love ! I recommend getting their meat empanada with the green sauce (Salsa Verde) Anything pretty much you get here is amazing, I also recommend their cheese bread loaf and the ham and cheese cachito with the green sauce too basically anything you get you need that green sauce in the side! Lol They also have Hispanic sodas you can pair your lunch with like Malta and Colombiana. This location is always super friendly and clean and they also have another location near by sawgrass mall. Also a few bullet points I want to include - cheap prices - custom cakes that you can't get at Publix - outside seating is available The only critique I have with this Nob Hill /Oakland location, is that their cheese empanadas aren't hitting the taste buds like they used to. First and foremost, I think it's hilarious that folks come on here to complain about the entire staff not speaking English. Friendly reminder that there is no official language in this country and you are walking into a LATIN establishment-- clearly most of you haven't spent any time in Miami as this isn't uncommon. Are y'all the same people who visit another country and get offended because they don't speak YOUR language? Aside from that, I will see the food here is pretty good, though I personally prefer the Sawgrass location. While this location has a broader selection of items than Sawgrass, I find the details like the Nata and Salsa Verde to be better quality by the mall. That said, this one is also significantly faster than Sawgrass seeing how busy the other one is because of it's proximity to the mall. Coffee here is better and more consistent too. For those of you coming through and leaving negative or low reviews because of a language barrier, it's wrong for you to impact their ability to stay afloat during such a challenging time because you're incapable of at least trying to communicate in a way that may be slightly more inconvenient for you.
