This is not my normal Vicky location that I frequent for croquetas/empanadas/colada. However I came here for a catering order, got Cuban food for my sister's birthday party. Food was incredible, the staff was kind and my order was ready as promised. They are very kind and the parking lot is busy with lots of good businesses in this plaza. Cuban sandwiches and pastelito party tray is a winner every time!!

I didn't know that Vicky Bakery made delicious cuban sandwiches but thanks to the national Cuban Sandwich day event, I stopped in to give it a try. I ordered at the counter and gave them my name for the order. Within a few minutes my name was called and my togo sandwich order was bagged and ready to go. There is a few tables for dining in but it seemed that primarily people come in for a Cuban coffee, a pastry or a cake order for a special event. They make everything fresh and it all looked wonderful. Next time I will try the empanadas. I got home and opened up the sandwich. It was still warm but it wasn't pressed which to me is the traditional way to serve a true Cuban sandwich. The flavor was great and I enjoyed the ration of meats and cheese to the mustard spread and size of the bread roll. The service was very nice and I will definitely make a return visit.

I'm so happy that they built a Vicky's near my home. This Cuban bakery is loved throughout South Florida and there is reasons why. I love coming here for a pastelito or breakfast croissant sandwich and of course a coffee. There's plenty of pastries for you to choose and they also offer catering and party platters.

i got my food to go so i forgot to take a pic until i was halfway through my meal so this is the best i've got i came at 6pm so some of the savory pastries were gone. luckily the ones i wanted were still available. i noticed that there were no prices listed for the sweets so i was reluctant to buy any. there's tons is seatings and it's a very nice and clean space. my food was ready super quickly. i'm not sure if the pastries were warm because the employee didn't reheat them and i popped them in the oven quickly when i got home just as a precaution because i love my food crunchy and warm. sandwich: a little too salty, i would've liked if there was a vegetable to balance it out but regardless, this was delicious. i got a size small because i knew i wanted other pastries too. empanada: love the flakiness but it wasn't the exact flavor i was imagining? still pretty good but maybe not as tasty as i wanted. croquetta: i loved the texture of this! i found the flavor to be a bit underwhelming again but im curious what their other flavors taste like. i would be interested in returning to try their other menu options!

Open a few months now and they have been consistent with their food, service and ambiance. This Vicky bakery is located in a dated but busy plaza. Parking can prove challenging at certain times. The space itself is large, bright and clean with a few dine in tables. They have a nice assorted display of pastries and desserts. Service is friendly and efficient. Food is fresh and tasty. Favorite items from here: Pastelitos de Guayaba (guava pastries) Empanadas de carne (beef empanadas) Croquetas de jamon (ham croquettes)

It's nice to have a Vicky's closer to home. This location is lovely on the inside, but the selection is definitely smaller than the other locations I've been to. I'm hoping that with time, the menu expands (or I will visit a different location). They have the typical pastelito selection and cafe con leche, but there were less baked goods and fewer options for breakfast unless they've eliminated options as a whole company. I got the Vicky classic breakfast. It was really tasty as usual, but I ordered without ham, and it came with ham, no big deal. The portions were also really small. It seemed like the kitchen and front of house staff had some kinks to work out still. They must have had some issues because when ordering, the cashier wrote everything out on a notepad after payment. It could be why orders were being messed up. On the plus side, the Cafe con leche was perfect, just the way I like it. There was seating inside, but definitely not enough for the crowd that was there. I'm hoping that with time, these minor things will all work out. It is a great addition in the area!

Ever since I heard Vicky Bakery was opening less than five minutes away from where I live, I've been so excited! Today is DAY ONE and I had to go and get a café con leche for a midday pick-me-up and my favorites - tequeño de queso and croqueta de queso. (Yes, I LOVE cheese!) This is a very nice location - roomy and with some nice tables to sit at. No outdoor seating, but no need. Especially in these hot summer months! It is located next to Japan Inn on the southwest corner of Sunrise & University. Everyone was super friendly and excited to welcome their first customers. I can't wait to come back!

Here for the Pastelitos de Guayaba!

Could not be more excited to have our very own Vicky's Bakery here in P-town!!!! I heard they were open and made my way over for a hostess gift for a dinner I'm attending this evening. Javier and the gang were so welcoming and happy to show me all the fresh baked goodies. I left with a Flan and box of Pastelitos. They offered me a cafe latte, and I of course was happy to accept. It was made with just the right amount of sweetness. Que sweet it is!!! Will definitely be a regular at this great new hometown business.

New location recently opened. Yummy desserts and pastries. Was visiting family in town and was surprised to find this gem so North. Awesome location for those living in Northern Broward

This was my first time at this location and it will definitely be my last. There were 2 people up front serving customers. One did not speak any English at all and had a hard time understanding English. The other was a total nightmare. Refused to help. Literally skipped over me and served another customer. Another person came in for service and the lady was rude to her as well. She even decided to forget everyone and go in the back and sit down. The lady spoke Spanish and was able to help me communicate with the other lady and help me out. The manager came out and we told him about the other woman. He blew it off and acted like it was a normal thing. Very rude and completely disrespectful. Instead of coming back out, she hung out in the back. Food is very good here but this location needs to look at their employees and how they treat customers. Very sad.

Clean, spacious beautiful bakery. People working there were lovely. We went there in afternoon like around 2 and people were coming in steadily. We got two different sandwiches, a cake slice and coffee. Everything was amazing except for cake slice which I felt was just a bit dry. Overall our experience was good and will be visiting again.

Busssssin! Don't sleep on the sandwiches!

If you have kids, the outdoor seating is perfect because they can run around the plaza while you relax and eat. It makes it a lot less stressful than a typical sit-down restaurant with little ones. A quick call, or even mentioning it at pickup, would have gone a long way. I would have happily substituted for a bagel or chosen something else. Instead, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. By that point, I was understandably frustrated, and the response at the counter didn't help--the staff seemed indifferent. Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.
