The cuban grilled cheese was interesting and definitely had a lot more flavor than the brisket sandwich. It was a little overly greasy, though, and the fries lacked any sort of flavor at all. For both, the coleslaw and pickle were great. We also got their signature cake, which is not an actual cake with sponge and all, but more so like a fudge pie. It was pretty good but it is incredibly thick and rich, so if that's not something you enjoy, try something else. Overall, the sandwiches were just okay, nothing insane but nothing bad. A quick call, or even mentioning it at pickup, would have gone a long way. I would have happily substituted for a bagel or chosen something else. Instead, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. By that point, I was understandably frustrated, and the response at the counter didn't help--the staff seemed indifferent. They did replace the missing items with bagels, which I appreciate, but the overall experience was disappointing. I used to really enjoy Marian's under the previous ownership and was a regular customer. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the quality of service seems to have declined.
