    Argentinian baked spinach empanada
    Melissa V.

Don Pan in Davie, recently opened in the Shops at Stirling Place plaza. It's west of Davie road & Stirling and also the same area of the Hong's BBQ restaurant. I was here for a quick bite, which was this Argentinian baked spinach empanada (not dry!) to go with the guayoyo (basically, a watered down and less concentrated colada)! Formerly used to be Euro Bread & Cafe. Now, it's a Don Pan. I haven't been to one for almost 15 years. Last place I've been to was in the downtown Miami area. I'll be looking out for their Latin soups and food bowls next time. I was in a bit of a hurry. The ambiance - not too quiet nor loud, but friendly as expected. The staff at the counter friendly and courteous. I know I'm being repetitive, but I'm looking forward to this place again in the future.

First time visiting this specific location. I've been to Don pan several times and I believe this one is fairly new. I felt I had a harder time communicating with placing and order and talking to the waitress than I would at other locations. The empanada's were fresh and the cafe con leche was what I needed it to be. However I feel the meat wasn't as seasoned, Personal preference, I like the sawgrass location better for the flavor and customer service. If you're in Davie area I still recommend to check them out.

Whether you're ordering sandwiches, empanadas, burritos, or sweets, they are made fresh. It's definitely the best Don Pan that I have been to in Broward. Excellent food and hospitality. The best part is the lovely ladies who run this place. The energy when you walk in is always positive and friendly.

Came here with my pregnant wife, cappuccino and some empenadas! Nice store with seating and chill music. Need that AREPA!!!

Acabo de comprar un pan y no me dieron ni una bolsa, solo una caja que estaba abierta de un lado y se me cayó todo el pan.

The food is good but the staff is amazing! They're so sweet and you can tell they work so well together.

This is my deli home for excellent corned beef and/or pastrami to savor and is worthwhile to patronize even though its a few miles outside my local boundary. Trust me, the bagels are fresh daily and the lox / cream cheeze is superb. They even have salt bagels for those seeking a higher blood pressure. Wonderfully located in a strip mall that has recently completed a modern frontage update. Be aware, parking could be a challenge during peak hours. Also, seek out their daily specials for additional value.

It was lunch time and the main dining area was busy although a separate room to the left side was empty, so we sat at a table near the window to not feel claustrophobic. The menu was enormous which scares me due to waste issues. The server was friendly and instantly greeted us and brought waters then had to flag him down a few times, but no real issues. Ordered the mushroom omelette with homemade potatoes and a slice of toast. Drizzled ketchup and salt on my eggs and dug in. The omelette was not massive, but fluffy and loaded with shrooms. Although tasty, I would have enjoyed my potatoes more well-done. The price was at mid-level for $13.99 and knew just to order tap water instead of coffee. There are only a few deli style restaurants in the Town of Davie so if you're feeling a liitle under the weather you can stop in here and grab a quart of Chicken Noodle or Matzo Ball soup for $11.99. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a modern black & white color scheme.

As soon as you walk in, it feels homie; you're welcomed by smiles and staff ready to serve. Very casual environment, with tables inside and a couple outside. Ordering online was easy, and pickup itself was quick and straightforward. However, when I got home, I realized that both tuna platters were missing the bagel chips--so essentially I paid $17 each for just two scoops of tuna. I called the restaurant and was told they were out of bagel chips. That explanation raised more questions than it answered. If an item is unavailable, why not notify the customer? A quick call, or even mentioning it at pickup, would have gone a long way. I would have happily substituted for a bagel or chosen something else. Instead, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. By that point, I was understandably frustrated, and the response at the counter didn't help--the staff seemed indifferent. They did replace the missing items with bagels, which I appreciate, but the overall experience was disappointing. I used to really enjoy Marian's under the previous ownership and was a regular customer. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the quality of service seems to have declined. We decided to give it another try, but this experience confirmed that it's just not worth it anymore. Disappointing, because this used to be a go-to spot.

One bite and you're transported straight to your grandmother's kitchen, where the secret ingredient was always love... and yes, a generous whisper of schmaltz. This is the kind of place where the taste of grandmother's cooking triumphs over pretty furniture every time. Who needs chandeliers when the corned beef sings? And then, the matzo ball soup pure poetry in a bowl. Golden, comforting, restorative. It warms not just your body but something deeper, something older.
