We drive past this place a lot on our way to the turnpike, so finally grabbed a cup of Joe! I loved the Nutella Latte, wasn't too sweet and it was in the perfect sippable lid cup. We also got a flat white. Lots of seating area inside and out, and there were some designated parking spots that we got on a Sunday, but the parking can get crazy in that area on a busy time. Must be cool to live in walking distance of so much yummy food and then this good coffee too!

Just an average coffee house. Decor is very basic and cold, coffee quality was disappointing (my macchiato had a bitter taste); however, the almond croissant I tried was very tasty and fresh.

Cubico sounds like a cubicle Squared shape ice cubes and that's fosho Arriving the parking was not too bad Afterall, they have reserved parking for customers so I was glad In a college town, where coffee is a necessity I wanted to try one of their specialties Unfortunately, they said it would be too sweet for me I ended up getting the Cinna-bun And it was a whole lot of fun Not too sweet, and just the right amount of bitter But the price for that cup, was more than a lot of competitors On top of that, I also added tip to support the staff members I would say I would be back, but it depends on convenience The parking might not always be the emptiest

Really good coffee! Friendly staff! Nice space! Happy with my experience! I will be back to try something else out

A relatively new coffee shop, to me at least, that was a huge swing and a hit! Parking here is horrible so just be ready to look around for a spot if you go during a busy time. The location is very spacious once you get inside and I loved how everything was spaced out nicely so I didn't feel like I was standing shoulder to shoulder with anyone while I was ordering and drinking my coffee. The baristas working were very friendly and explained a couple of the drinks they had while I was looking at the menu. After a couple minutes I decided to get the iced Cubi-Blue. The coffee had the right amount of strength to it and a very robust flavor. This coffee had coconut condensed milk, blue spirulina and cinnamon. The blue spirulina gave it a nice blue color to it as well as an amazing earthy flavor to me. The cinnamon gave it a nice spice that blended well also. This drink was on the pricey side at roughly $7.50 iced and slightly cheaper if you get it hot. The prices here are a little on the higher end but when you get artisanal drinks and coffees like the one I mentioned, that are very flavorful, I think you are getting what you pay for for sure!

Cute café located in Davie! Wanted to try a new place and found this on maps for local cafés. It looks like it's small from the outside but inside there's plenty of seats and tables. What I thought was cool was seeing the large containers they had with the coffee beans. I ordered one of their specialty coffees, a Lavender Haze. Has Lavender and taro, which I'm always a fan of in drinks. It was a perfect balance of sweet without being overly sugary and the coffee flavor while still being there was a bit more subtle. I actually found it to taste a bit like Froot Loops! I loved it. The staff was nice and super quick making the drink. I can imagine a lot of the college students head over in the weekday afternoon! Will love to stop here again!

Great coffee shop in Davie/Southwest ranches area! Always welcomed with smiles and great service. Sarah was very nice and knowledgeable and made a great iced latte. The croissants are also delicious! We also buy their freshly roasted coffee beans to make our coffee at home. My go-to is the medium roasted Kunji beans from Papua New Guinea. Would highly recommend visiting!

Stepped into this coffee shop, and the first thing that hits me is the rich, comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The air feels warm and inviting, filled with the earthy scent of roasted beans mingling with a hint of caramel sweetness. My eyes instantly wander to the counter where golden, flaky pastries, croissants, danishes, and muffins - are stacked up like little works of art. The light reflects off their sugary, golden surfaces, tempting me with promises of warmth and indulgence. Take a peek at the pic and decide for yourself. The barista explained that the espresso coffee is uniquely blended with beans from four different countries - Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia and Nicaragua. Well, of course I had to try this strange blend. The espresso was served in a shot type glass wedged into a metal cup making it a wonderful presentation. As the glass touched my lower lip, the coffee alerted my nostrils to a sweet roasty scent. Their custom Espresso Blend is also offered in bags of different sizes (such as 12 oz or 1 lb) which can be purchased whole bean or ground, depending on customer preferences. The clear glass window behind the coffee bar allowed a glimpse into the bakery where the ingredients are transformed into delicious treats. They offer interior bar top or table seating as well as exterior patio seating. The bathroom was functional and clean but lacked some of the finer touches that would make it feel more inviting or luxurious which would flow better with the coffee shop's ambiance. The cement floors give it a more industrial or minimalist vibe. This is the kind of place that makes me feel like time slows down for a moment.

What a cute little coffee shop. I wish I lived closer because I would be there all the time! I could t decide between the blue and the green so I got both flavors and got two small cups of coffee!! We also got some pastries, they were fair. Nothing special. The coffee is where it's at! Staff was kind and gave me samples of the syrups to try. If I'm in the area, I will certainly be back for more coffee! Just a heads up, there is a homeless lady who seems to target people coming in and asks for coffee. The manager told us he already gave her coffee and we bought her another one... if you ignore her, she's harmless.

Been back to Cubico Coffee a few times. Specifically for the Lavender Haze latte which is lavender + taro. They have perfected the flavor profile and I love it. It's not super sweet but just a hint of lavender with a clean finish of taro flavor. Yummy! The worst is when I order a lavender latte and it tastes like a garden in my mouth. Lol. This is not the case at Cubico. Try the Lavender Haze! I saw someone order a Pumpkin Chai Spice latte and that might be my next order to try. I love the unique flavors here. That makes Cubico stand out from the rest of the coffee spots. My barista the last few times did a great job and this particular drink keeps bringing me back. The service is great here and they make sure you're taken care of. I love the seating at the counter where you can watch them make coffee. The first time I came here, I thought my latte was super expensive after modifying my milk to oatmilk and ordering the larger 16oz size. The price was close to $12 for this order. I couldn't really justify paying that much just for coffee. Since I have found the Lavender Haze, I have kept it simple at 12oz and 2% milk. That cost is about $7.55 + $1.45 tip + tax = $9.53. Still pricey but I can do that when I'm craving this lavender + taro latte. It's a special treat. Plus I will try to support local vs Starbucks when I can. Even though Starbucks rewards system and point incentives and triple point days are appealing. You can also earn Cubi Points. You earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Once you reach 100 points, you can get $5 off your order. This reward system may take forever. Lol. Plus the rewards expire so keep an eye on that so you don't lose your points. They have a special promo where you can buy a Cubico Coffee tumbler and get a free coffee. The yellow colored tumbler is so pretty but they only had a large size during this visit. The barista said the owner is making more so check back on that. Twist my arm! I love a good coffee tumbler.

Lavender Haze (Taro Powder) Nice touch.

Nice vibe the moment you enter. Came here literally for the Lavender Haze which is espresso with Lavender syrup and Taro Powder. The small drink with oat milk was $10... drink was solid but pretty expensive. Service was straight forward but the price is Premium indeed...

A cute coffee spot in Davie! I stumbled upon it when grabbing lunch with friends at Phobar. A little hidden, the big signage helped finding this place since it's on the side of the plaza it's in. It was pretty spacious for a coffee spot with a good amount of seating, both table & bar, with additional seating outside. The service was super friendly and helped explain some of the menu when I had questions. Of course, I got matcha and was excited that they had vanilla and lavender syrups, which are my go-to sweeteners for iced matcha these days. A great spot to get some work or studying done in the area, and probably my new go-to spot for remote work.

Honestly I was sold on trying coffee here as soon as I saw they had lavender/taro coffee on their menu in yelp. It was as delicious as I thought it would be, maybe even more so! Couldn't have been happier with my choice. Plus they had my favorite alternative milk option, macadamia nut milk. I was in heaven. My fiancé ordered the Shaken Hawk and absolutely loved it. I obviously loved the Lavender Haze more but still his was good. We also ordered some yummy pastries! The guava and cheese and almond croissant were both delectable. My go-to is always an almond croissant and this was a delicious one! The guava and cheese though was almost better with just how interesting the flavor was. Worked perfectly. I was originally drawn to the pastries' case because I saw some were labeled as gluten-free which was awesome! There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options and it was pretty easy to find parking. They have cool merchandise and the design of the store is bright, modern, and clean. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming too! Will be happy to go back.

A roaster bearing the name of…read morean Indigenous people -- the Calusa, the ancient shell-mound builders, the unconquered lords of South Florida's mangroves and waterways. People who never surrendered. People whose bones are folded into this very soil. As someone who walks through this world carrying Taíno blood and the memory of peoples whose names colonizers tried to erase, that word hit different. It wasn't a gimmick. It wasn't a logo. It was a declaration -- that this land has a story older than any espresso machine, and somebody here understood that. That understanding alone earned my curiosity and my respect before I'd even stepped through the door. "The name carried the weight of a people who never bent. That's the kind of legacy worth building a roastery around." Then I learned the story behind the man behind the roaster -- and it only deepened my respect. Luis Arteaga came home from serving in the United States Marine Corps and did what so many veterans do: he looked for work. No fanfare. No red carpet. Just a man with discipline in his bones and calluses on his hands, trying to find his next mission in a civilian world that doesn't always know what to do with people like that. He found his way to the original owners of Calusa Coffee Roasters. They saw in him what the Corps had always seen -- dependability, grit, and a willingness to learn. They gave him a job. A floor to stand on. And Luis did what Marines do -- he didn't just fill a position, he grew into something greater. Over time, through sweat and dedication and an unmistakable passion for the craft, he rose to become the owner of the very roastery that once took a chance on him. That's not a business story. That's an American story. A veteran's story. And it's exactly the kind of origin that makes a cup of coffee taste like something more than coffee. CALUSA COFFEE ROASTERS IS A SOUTH FLORIDA INSTITUTION Fast forward to today, and Calusa Coffee Roasters isn't just surviving -- it is a staple. Walk into the right cigar bar on a Friday evening and someone at the table will mention the name. Sit down at the right diner counter on a Tuesday morning and a regular will nod toward that familiar bag. In South Florida's rich, layered, cafecito-and-culture coffee landscape, that kind of word-of-mouth is earned over years of consistency, of showing up, of never letting the cup get small. Luis continues to build something that belongs to this community -- rooted in the terroir of a region as complex and layered as its people. The coffee is exceptional. Bold where it should be bold, nuanced where it earns it. The kind of roast that makes you sit down instead of rushing out. That's no accident. That's someone who respects the craft because he was forged in institutions that demand nothing less than your best. "When a Marine finds his mission in a roastery, every bag he puts his name on carries the same standard -- do it right or don't do it at all." Meeting Luis was one of those moments I didn't expect to move me the way it did. We are both moving through the coffee world trying to build something that means something -- something rooted in identity, in service, in the belief that what's in the cup should tell a story worth hearing. And here was a fellow Marine who had walked a road I recognize: uncertain ground, earned footing, and a refusal to quit. And finally, if you are in South Florida and you have not made the pilgrimage to Calusa Coffee Roasters on Commercial Blvd, you are overdue. Go for the coffee -- stay for the story. And if you're lucky enough to meet the man himself, shake his hand. He earned it in more ways than one. To Luis Arteaga and everyone at Calusa: thank you for carrying a name that honors this land. Thank you for honoring the service that shaped you. And thank you for a cup of coffee that carries the weight of all of it without spilling a drop. Semper Fi, brother. Keep roasting.
