After a few hours perusing the aisles at the massive Sawgrass Mills mall (mostly in the outdoor section), I was getting quite parched in the South Florida humidity. Being from the West Coast, I'm not used to this type of climate! When searching for a place to imbibe, I was surprised to see a boba shop here in the first place, since this neck of the woods isn't exactly known as a hotbed for Taiwanese or East Asian culture as a whole. Perhaps it is aimed for tourists? I was a bit skeptical initially as to how it would taste, but heck, I was on vacation. It was worth a shot. To be perfectly honest, I rarely if ever patronize mall boba shops even back home, as I know there are better options elsewhere, but since I was running on fumes at this point, I had to find something, and Komma appeared in front of me like the mirage in the desert. And ultimately, I'm glad I took the plunge! I ordered a simple honey green milk tea with no ice and 1/4 sugar, and it was just the perfect refreshment to hit the spot. Business was quite slow, as I was the only customer, but the lone bobarista working there was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I'm not sure when will be the next time I visit Sawgrass Mills, but if I ever return, a stop by Komma will undoubtedly be on the itinerary!

So we ended up going to the line anyway. Komma Tea is a small Boba and macaron spot located inside the mall. You can find it next to Auntie Anne's Pretzels and across from Burlington. My daughter ordered the Lychee on Lychee drink which was a lychee infused black tea with lychee jelly. She added tapioca boba for an additional $0.75 to her order and modified the sweetness by 50%. It was cool watching them make the drink, put it into the shaker machine and then sealing it. They offer huge macarons for $4.79 each with a variety of flavors. Didn't get it this time. Maybe next time. Lychee on Lychee was a very refreshing drink. Tapioca boba and lychee jelly tasted fresh. Service was good. Clean space too.

I had the French toast muffin and it was delightful. I skipped using the fork they gave me and devoured it. They do have a wide variety of coffee flavors as well as signature and seasonal coffees/lattes they seem to have on rotation. The pistachio iced coffee I decided to go with and what I really like is the option to add condensed milk which you don't hear very often and really reminds me of home overseas. The staff was great in making recommendations, extremely pleasant throughout the buying process and even there after when I was leaving. I'll definitely go back especially to their other pastries!

The Wild Mug Coffee Bar…read more It was a pleasant surprise and my fiancee and I really enjoyed the time we spent at this cafe. Today, we ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato, Iced Cinnamon Roll Latte, Spicy Beef Empanada, and their Key lime Pie. The coffees were good, but in my opinion, their pastries and snacks tasted better and left a bigger impression on me. The coffee flavors, I felt like I can find them elsewhere but the key lime pie was nice- just sweet enough and right level of tartness. The spicy beef empanada was nice too or maybe I was just hungry. You make sure to try it and let me know if it was really good or no. They offer indoor and outdoor seating but are both limited so get there at the right time or be ready for Togo. The interior is cleanly decorated and they seem to have put in a lot of time hand writing out the special menu and seasonal items. Yes I would recommend this place to others. Yes I would definitely visit the Wild Mug Coffee Bar again.

It is located in a place with ample parking on either side of the building which the location has two entrances. One entrance leads into the section with the variety of nuts and snacks and the other side has the coffee, treats, bakery kind of vibe. The staff was extremely helpful as there were two ladies working there around midday when I went on a Sunday and it was not busy. Seeing that I have minimal experience in Turkish delights I did have a lot of questions and they were ready with the answers. I decided to get baklava which I am familiar with then I had a pistachio flavored iced coffee. What was suppose to be a purchase and leave because a purchase and dine in. The atmosphere and aesthetics made it really comfortable and inviting to enjoy taking a pause and enjoying the location. The employees made tremendous recommendations based on what we liked and they surely were right! I'll be back here again as this will be one of tiny go to spots in the area because of the staff and great coffee with treats! Side note, crepes and many other items are sold here as well!

Today, I had some time between appointments and decided to finally sit down, relax, and grab something to eat along with my coffee fix. I ordered a croissant and a cafe con leche. Even though it was busy around midday, I was able to find a cozy table. My light meal was brought out to me, and I enjoyed every bite of the perfectly made croissant while sipping on my requested extra hot coffee. As people came and went, I found myself admiring the decor and the friendliness of the staff. The whole place feels cozy, hip, and welcoming. Before leaving, I decided I wasn't done yet and ordered a cortada (hopefully I'm spelling that right). I waited by the counter, but the lady kindly told me she would bring it to my table, even though I didn't mind waiting. It was divine as always. Even the unique little glass cup with its interesting handle stood out to me, and yes, once again, the coffee was perfectly extra hot just the way I like it. I truly enjoyed my alone time there. It can get a little noisy, but honestly, once you settle into your own little zone, you barely notice. I'm off for the week, so I'll probably end up back here again in a couple of days since I'll be in the area. All in all, Ella Cafe is a must try coffee shop experience. Great service, great coffee, delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere. I've also had their salads and sandwiches in the past, and they never disappoint.
