I tried the mango and strawberry bingsu, and while it was good, it wasn't anything special. If you order it as-is, it's pretty bare. it's just fruits, condensed milk, and milk pudding. You definitely need to pay extra for add-ons to make it better. The Orange Americano was honestly awful. The orange tasted spoiled and the coffee quality was poor. I've had this drink at other cafés before, so I know how it's supposed to taste. I spoke to the staff to see if I could get a replacement, even just a regular Americano, after taking only two sips, but they don't allow exchanges. Ended up throwing away a $7 drink, which was really disappointing. Overall, desserts are okay with upgrades, but the drink and lack of flexibility with customer service left a bad impression.
Incredible hidden gem! Very kind staff and immaculately clean location that has a handful of tables. Having had bingsu in China, this is the real deal. Generous portion sizes, very fresh toppings and authentic flavors. A great treat for a hot day that's much lighter than ice cream.
D for Dessert is a successful rebrand by Summer Love Ice House! While I do miss the original presentation, the quality is still great! A variety of cake is now offered, and the matcha crepe cake is amazing. I also tried the sesame latte & it was delicious! The fruity flavors of the shaved ice tasted super fresh. The taro was good, but I preferred the mango & strawberry. The service was great as usual. The owner remade our drink when he realized he used whole milk instead of oat. Overall, we really enjoyed D for Dessert!
Perfect shaved ice. The favorites are coconut/mango and taro. Flavors are light and sweet enough balanced perfect for a hot day! The crepe cake was light airy and not overly sweet as most asian cakes are! Will be coming back for matcha earl gray shaved ice and the durian crepe cake!
I got the mango bingsu ($13) and it was made in about 5 mins. The shaved ice was cold and soft with a coconut flavor. The mango and sauce was a soft sweet and tasted really good with the shaved ice. This was split pretty well for 5 people. Staff and interior were clean and nice. Overall a good experience for the Bingsu!
When I say that Summer Love Ice House is a hidden icy gem in the inferno Miami summer, it is a must try place for everyone local and visiting. I don't know anywhere else in south Florida where you can get fresh and delicious Bing Soo. Their desserts are absolutely amazing and it's a constant struggle for me to not give them a visit every time I am remotely close. The toppings are phenomenal, I reallly love the mochi and the boba toppings, some desserts come with them but others you need to add them to. I highly recommend both the taro bing soo and the matcha bing soo. They put a good slice of cheesecake on the matcha one! This place is a definitely can't miss and I always mention it when people visit Miami! The only thing missing is perhaps a little more decor on the walls, but the fast service and the incredible bing soo makes up for it and then some!
Tried the matcha and coconut/mango. Both were delicious but I preferred the Matcha. It was a nice surprise to find egg pudding and mochi at the bottom. Great quality only issue I have is that it too far for me to make weekly visits
Recently returned from Japan and we were craving Japanese shaved ice. It was perfect and hit the mark. Fluffy snow like ice that's not overly sweet with fresh fruit. We tried the mango shaved ice and strawberry (and cream). Also tried the matcha crepe cake, so good, layers of matcha crepes with a not overly sweet whipped cream bringing it all together. Can't wait to come back and try more. Located in a strip mall, lacks the ambiance, but clean and nice people working.
Disappointed, but not flavorless. After seeing all the dreamy pics and rave reviews (most of which, I noticed, were from over a year ago), my wife and I decided to check this spot out during my birthday weekend. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. We walked in on a Saturday midday to... crickets. The place was completely empty, and the vibe was kind of lifeless. The young woman at the counter looked like we woke her up from a nap. Her greeting--and answers to our menu questions--were less than enthusiastic. We ordered a small taro ice, expecting the vibrant presentation we saw in all those Instagram-worthy photos. Instead, we got a plain paper bowl with shaved ice, a thin layer of cheese foam, and no toppings in sight. Definitely not what's advertised. When we asked, the explanation was: "Oh, the small one doesn't come with all that." Followed by, "The toppings are inside." Not exactly the customer service magic you hope for. But here's the twist: the taro ice actually tasted really good. Creamy, flavorful, and with just the right balance of sweetness. It could've used more cheese foam and some of the toppings on top (like..you know, the taro powder maybe) but the flavor itself saved this from being a one-star review. Sadly, the poor service, lackluster attitude, and zero effort to address our concern left a sour taste. We left more bummed than satisfied. Overall: 2 stars. Great flavor, but the experience and presentation? Not so sweet. Wouldn't go out of my way to stop in again.
My FAVORITE dessert place in Florida!!!! Cute, clean, modern interior! They service most yummy shaved ice with fresh fruit toppings. It's so light and fluffy. So refreshing and tasty for steamy hot Florida days and night. I just love going there. I highly recommend this place for everyone.
Been here a few times and the concept and experience is unique. Summer Love Ice House opened in May 2023. I remember hearing about it when it first opened because it was all over my social media. The place was almost viral at the time. They are located on Hollywood Boulevard in the Presidential Plaza. Close to Hollywood City Hall and the Hollywood Library. Consider this an elevated shaved ice experience. Or I like to say bougie AF shaved ice. Lol. They offer a variety of unique flavors including * Taro Taro * Mango * Oreo Tiramisu * Matcha Dance * Pineapple Paradise * Strawberry * Coconut Cloud * Brown Sugar Forest * Peanut Pool * Canta Coco The shaved ice is so fluffy and light. The presentation is absolutely beautiful with so much attention to details. It's an art form. The shaved ice is served with little sides of toppings that include mochi, tapioca pearls, milk tea and condensed milk brown sugar syrup. The shaved ice itself isn't very sweet which is perfect. They have fillings of red beans, mochi and milk pudding once you get inside. If you want to add more texture or sweetness, that's where the sides come in. Make it your own. I've had the Taro Taro, Mango and Coconut Cloud. All three flavors are absolutely yummy. The taro is my favorite. Because taro! I want to try the pineapple and Oreo tiramisu. These are a tad pricey at $13.95 and $14.95 each pending on flavor option. But considering how much love and effort goes into each shaved ice presentation, it's worth it for a special treat. Also keep in mind these take time to pit together so please be patient. Staff is nice and do their best to hustle. This place gets busy on the weekends. If you go during the day, it's not bad. Check them out for a unique experience! Love this because it's different.
I've come here twice now and I've loved it! The shaved ice is always aesthetically appealing but more importantly I love how it tastes by itself and altogether with the toppings. The ice has that smooth texture that I really like too. The complimentary tea is nice with the warm and nutty tone--it pairs well with the shaved ice. The staff are nice. The ambience is clean and comfortable. Parking is widely available as it's located in a plaza. This is my favorite shaved ice in the area! I'll definitely be back if I'm nearby.

The mango coconut bingsu and earl grey bingsu were both very good! Some of the toppings ended up being revealed only once we got to the bottom of the bowl, which was a nice surprise. Service was good, nothing to note. read more
Updating my review because this is not D for Dessert! Still a great shaved ice spot for desserts and more in Hollywood. I came here after a beach day with my family as we were craving something sweet and refreshing. Since it was on the way home, it was an easy decision to stop by here. Parking is super easy as this is located in a parking lot with plenty of spaces. We got two of the bingsus-- strawberry mango and the earl grey boba tea snow. Both were so good and catered to different palates. I really loved the earl grey one because it came with lychee jelly which was an expected but pleasant surprise. The mango strawberry is a classic and it did not disappoint. The inside was clean and the staff was super nice. They also had cakes here and some specialty Asian desserts. A great spot for dessert in Hollywood! read more
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I ordered a cake for pick up but decided to grab some matchas (about $8 each) while there. I'm not really a fan of matcha but they were super helpful in discussing flavors and their more popular drinks. We ended up ordering the brûlée matcha and strawberry matcha. The birthday cake was presented beautifully and they even included a birthday crown, birthday candle and a happy birthday sign. From this point forward, all my birthday cakes will be from D for Dessert! read more

Arrived right before closing. The website said 10pm, but their door said 9:30pm. Showed up at 9:20 and they served us without hesitation. A couple of men arrived shortly after and were served as well. We had the Mango & Coconut and it was delicious. Sweet, but not too sweet and the sauces on the side allow you to customize it how you like. Lastly, the entire place was very clean and welcoming. I would happily stop by again! read more

I had been dying to try their shaved ice for a while and the reviews seemed promising. We came in on a Sunday early evening- upon entering you see a huge digital ordering kiosk that says "order here", we didn't know and ordered. The menu doesn't fully describe what the shaved ice dishes have and what flavors you'll be receiving. For some you get to pick the two sides and others it just comes with the things. It was hard to pick small or large without knowing. I would have loved to see a more detailed menu or the staff to have asked "is it your first time? Anything we can help you with?" We decided on the taro and the Oreo shaved ice. The Oreo had option to choose two toppings and the taro did not. I felt the flavors were very very light and mostly water. I'd like to go back and try one of the fruit ones to see if the flavor would be stronger. The presentation of the dishes was great and the place seemed very clean. read more

Possibly my favorite place in South Florida for Asian dessert! The Korean style ice is amazing and they also offer nice boba and smoothie type drinks. Our mango bing su was so good. It came with an assortment of toppings and everything was very good quality. The portion was huge and with three people sharing we were still plenty satisfied. The space itself is very nice and spacious and the people working were nice. It's completely worth a visit and I can't wait to go back! read more

They revamped the cafe and I love how there's many options for pastries now. My personal favorite is sesame latte, egg tart was delicious as well. I would come back and try their pistachio latte. The service was good, and the cafe is cute. read more

Just wanted give a huge shoutout to the management and staff, of Summer love ice house. My family and I wanted to have Boba, and we had more than just boba. We had coconut shaved cream, which was so tasty. I totally recommend it, with the different toppings and the complimentary tea, was just delightful. My kids also had brown sugar boba, and they absolutely loved it ! read more
An absolute MUST TRY!!! Just look at how beautiful these treats are! Now imagine that they taste 3x as delicious and filling. We had the UBE, mango, slushy, and tea. Please give this place a try. It was delicious. The restaurant was very clean and organized. They have a kiosk were you order you shaved ice bowl. I went for the mango one and it was amazing. The mango tasted so fresh and it was overly sweet. They have many varieties of fruit flavors. They also offer warm tea if you get cold. read more

I never go out of my way for "just dessert." Usually I'll order something at the restaurant I am at, or go to the grocery store. Whatever is convenient. Once I discovered Summer Love - my husband and I could be in Miami or down the street, but once we crave it we almost always go. It is so unique for us here in South FL. It's indulgent but light because of the shaved ice and salted cream. You have an amazing amount of options including coconut pretzel, Oreo tiramisu, and peanut butter. PLUS that warm cup of tea to finish it all off, it's perfect. It's counter service, very casual interior. They are open later than some other dessert options. What a great addition to Hollywood. read more

I really enjoyed how light snow ice is and it was definitely full of flavor. The matcha complemented the red bean sauce, however, I wish they had added more because the matcha was not sweet. The matcha cheesecake was surprisingly good, not as filling as I had thought. Overall, the snow ice was not as sweet as regular ice cream. The only thing that would make it overly sweet is the syrup and the fruits. read more

Went here for dessert with my girlfriend. We were recommended to share the shaved ice and I'm glad we went with the recommendation as it's humongous! We went with the taro taro which comes with milk, some brown sugar syrup, tapioca, red bean paste, coconut jelly and some other things. We added brownie bits to add to it. It also comes with a hot tea which I think is for when you get brain freeze you can drink it. The service was nice when we ordered, helping us with any questions we had and transparent on how the menu worked. The place is small and cute as well. As for the shaved ice itself, it was delicious! We ate it through being full (we had lunch earlier) because of how good it is. This is definitely a place I'd go to again and recommend! read more
A lovely cafe setting serving Bingsoo and bubble tea. They have plenty of different flavors, many unique like pineapple, peanut, and Oreo tiramisu. The only difficulty is that the bowls are a little small, so most of the toppings are put on the side like the syrup water, condensed milk, crystal pearls, taro, and other jellies. Each bowl also comes with a cup of hot black tea too!Certain shaved ice bowls also have red beans and mochi inside. Their teas have multiple types of toppings, and you can add milk to any of their teas. Their pearls are quite tasty and they have non-dairy options like oat milk. The staff are very friendly, helping to explain all the options, and the space is quite open and well-lit with plenty of tables and dining space. read more
What a fun experience! Came with a friend and shared an ice cream and drink. We wanted the Taro one but they were out so we had the coco cantaloupe. It was huge! And delicious! Not overly sweet and we kept getting surprised on ingredients inside. We also had the avocado almond yogurt slush which we absolutely loved. Making us want to have another to go! Want to try something totally different from your usual shaved ice or snow cones? Come here and try theirs. This is exactly like the shaved ice found in Taiwan. It's a fluffy, melt in your mouth delight. We trekked all the way from Miami to try it out and it didn't disappoint. We chose the Taro Taro and it was bite after bite of deliciousness! They present it to you in the cutest form, accompanied with tapioca ,tea and some syrups. Hidden inside the mountain of ice you will find milk pudding, red beans and taro pieces. The place itself is also super cute and clean. Highly recommended! read more

What I enjoy about this dessert is how it melts in your mouth. It reminds me a bit of a slushee. I would definitely come back to try their other options when I am in the area. I would l I like their concept of having these little sides to top it off with the snow ice. We ordered the matcha snow ice, and that was enough for 3 people. The green tea at the end really warms your heart as you are finishing up your dessert. Each plate of dessert is about $15+, however, it is worth it because it comes with a variety of sides to put on top of your snow ice, for example, the mochi, the tapioca, the jelly, and condensed milk which was tasty! Just a side note.. This place has a lot of parking at night, however it is a bit sketchy at night. So, to be safe, I would rather go a bit earlier.. read more
