Visited Magic Cow and it was just okay. The ice cream was decent, but the overall experience didn't quite wow me. The place has a very old-school, country feel, which may appeal to some, but it felt a bit dated. It was also pretty warm inside during our visit, and it seemed like the AC may not have been working properly. Not a bad spot, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again.

It breaks my heart that The Magic Cow might close because this shop is truly special. I walked in today and saw signs saying the owner is looking to sell the shop!! The ice cream is amazing with so many flavors to love. THE BANANA IS MY FAV. My father is a chef and banana was the only ice cream he ever made just ONCE when I was a child. Never made it again despite my constant begging over the years. Lol. Claims he doesn't remember making it. This is the only place I've ever found real banana ice cream since my dad made it. And it's not that artificial banana flavoring either!! It's the real deal made with actual bananas. One bite and it's like stepping back into the sweetest memories of my childhood. I'll just be so beside myself if the owner can't sell the magic cow and it closes. Sigh. The staff are quick, friendly, and genuinely bubbly. They allow flavor samples to decide which one you like so don't be afraid to ask. Today I went with creating my own sundae and chose cheesecake and banana ice cream. So delicious! The ringing of the cowbell and saying "moo" when you tip them may be cheesy, but it makes me smile and makes my day every time. I tip for awesome service, but the joy from the cowbell and "moo" is a bonus. The Magic Cow is quaint, fun, full of personality and pure magic. I really hope it stays open!!! My banana-loving heart and the community would be missing something sweet without it.

For being one of the top rated ice cream places around Florida I was honestly not impressed with the ice cream at The Magic Cow. They had a nice selection of flavors and you can definitely taste that they were homemade and made with real milk but the flavors for their ice cream were very soft, you can barely barely taste the flavors, so it was very underwhelming. We got the Birthday Cake, the Cinamoo, and the Raspberry (instead of chocolate for a change) and the ice cream was just ok, the flavors didn't stand out at all, so it was a bit disappointing. For example, the Cinamoo could have definitely had more of a cinnamon flavor to it and it would have made it amazing but you could barely taste there was cinnamon there. One thing I did like, was that the ice cream was not too sweet which I actually really loved. So the ice cream was very natural and was homemade but I wish the flavors were a little stronger or stood out a little more so it would be worth going back for. Overall, I'd say skip the drive and go somewhere else...

Andy and his wife have always been the most pleasant patrons and truly their ice cream you can tell is made with so much love and dedication. From the moment you walk in you immediately feel like family because of how warmly they welcome you and there are such a variety of flavors to try. Although I do not live in the area anymore every time I am in town I make sure to go visit and have a delicious ice cream! They truly are the best.

Weekends get very busy so expect a line outside the door until closing! Only a few small tables inside and some seating outside. We know this ice cream is the best because now even our one year old son who doesn't care for sweets had it for the first time and he ate it up!

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once inside you would be surprised how good this place is. I wasn't expecting much as soon as I walked in since the place is small, but my opinion quickly changed. As soon as you walk in the place is filled with cows lol and sticky notes. I noticed a picture on yelp from two years ago and I showed it to the young gentlemen and he recreated the ice cream for me! He was so pleasant and patient and made sure I got what I wanted. We sat down to enjoy our ice cream and a gentleman named Steve started talking to us. He might be the manager because he went in back after- but he was sooooo nice. Seriously, one of the nicest people I have ever Interacted with. The place is a little run down, but the ice cream is homemade and very good. A must try!

This has to be one of the most disgusting places to eat ice cream from. Not only is the owner an unorganized nonchalant egotistical person but he is also irresponsible with keeping his store's cleaning area up to standards. Sponges are filled with mold, mop heads are rarely changed, cross contamination with dirty utensils , grim on the floor, The dishwasher plumbing causes a horrible smell and the worst part is the blenders are cracked and covered up with tape instead of replacing them.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, CUSTOMERS WILL GET SICK !!!!

I've been coming here for a few years now and this is the best ice cream in Florida. Andy and his crew are very nice and makes you feel like family. I can't say enough good things about The Magic Cow! My recommendation is Rocky Road but modify it with German Chocolate and cherry instead of chocolate chips.

Can't wait to get home to drink my shake. I got a butter pecan and a strawberry large shake. The shakes are like 32 ounces! We also got a brownie sundae. My daughter is so picky that she does not like nuts or whipped cream so they gave her the option to get another topping and she got gummy bears and extra gummy bears for not wanting any whipped cream. The prices are really nice, portion sizes are huge. You definitely get value for the money you pay. Seems like a nice little small family owned business. They have cow decor all over the place and I absolutely love cows! This place is so cute. read more

The ice cream is really great here. I didn't do any of the fancy stuff just two scoop of really great ice cream. They had banana ice cream which is my favorite. The owner is also super friendly and they just have that old school ice cream shop that I love. read more

Best ice cream in South Florida. I have been coming here for the past 5 years. They have a large variety of flavors including no added sugar and dairy free options so there is truly something for everyone. They also have an array of mix in options as well, similar to cold stone. I also love their shakes--highly recommend the strawberry shake with fresh strawberries mixed in. Read great Yelp reviews on The Magic Cow and took the hour drive to try it. It's a little ice cream shop with homemade ice cream. The shop is small, post-its all over the wall with customer appreciation. Cute idea but better in a flip book. The ice cream we ordered and sampled was somewhat tasty but very soft. Soft that would melt easily. I asked my boys if they liked it and they said it was okay. Not sure if I would come back again. read more

The ice cream taste very good! The younger guy of the 2 was very kind and patient when we were there the first time to ask a few questions of their ice-cream prior to buying in bulk. Yes we ask questions because I'm feeding my child and family, I'd prefer not as much preservative nor coloring! The ambiance was fun to look at the decor! read more

Came in tonight for the first time and it was AMAZING. The have a wide variety of flavors and it looks like everything is made in house. The owner recommended two of his flavors from Scotland and both were delicious and unlike anything we had tried before. My kiddo went with the lavender rose flavored and I went with a brownie sundae. He bakes the brownies and they are very fresh with just the right consistency. The owner was very welcoming and so personable. We will definitely be back! read more

WOOOOOW! This icecream is truly magical! Icecream with natural flavors and the smell of this place could enchant any icecream lover. The cinnamon icecream was incredible, add soft fresh baked brownies....i am so happy to have found this gem. Nestled in the corner of a random shopping plaza lies the most nostalgic, quaint and homemade desserts. The man who helped us from behind the counter was friendly, and I would trust him with my life. I had also heard good things about this ice cream shop but when I walked in it was an absolute disaster. Dirt and dust in very corner. Dirty equipment old. The ice cream was partly melted. And very bland tasting like not very creamy. I ordered a waffle cone it was thin and breaking apart. The whole thing was melting through the cone before I even walked out. A coat of paint doesn't cost a ton and a good cleaning. It baffles me businesses are doing well but the owner won't spend a dime on appearances. Won't be back read more

Still some of the best ice cream in SoFlo! They take excellent care, the mint ice cream didn't have chocolate chips.... So they mixed them in for my wife! Another customer wanted Rocky Road so they they added chips , nuts and mini marshmallows to his scoop. read more

As someone who has worked in an ice cream shop (without a problem) it makes me question their food handling and cleanliness... I left without ordering anything. But everyone around seemed to be enjoying the $9 scoops of what I can only assume were life-changing flavors The place looks great. The 50 flavors of ice cream that they make them self, and you can make any type of combination that you can imagine. I got a lot of a cone which is always fresh and never stale, and I top it with variety of my different favorite combinations. Pistachio with crushed pecans or sometimes cookie dough. Blueberry muffin ice cream and you can add actual candy blueberries to it or pineapple or strawberry. You can get mango ice cream to put pineapples in there, for today I had some peanut butter ice cream that was peanut butter all the way through not just some lousy peanut butter swirls but the whole thing was peanut butter and it was absolutely the best peanut butter ice cream that I've ever had. Now before I go any further I must confess, Cold Stone was my ice cream spot no matter what. Now, my first bite of Andy's Cake Batter ice cream and my taste buds couldn't comprehend what was going on. Then I found out that they were located right around the corner from my house in Davie on University drive. Needless to say I have returned to their wonderful shop numerous times, brought family members to experience how delicious it is, and I will continue to visit this magnificent Ice cream shop. I visited the Magic Cow for some ice cream, and it was fantastic! The shop is small but clean, with a nice small business vibe. The service was excellent, and the person serving might have been the owner. I ordered a large three-scoop cone with peanut butter, cheesecake, and birthday cake flavors, and they were delicious. The toppings were great too, all at a very reasonable price. I have no complaints--definitely check out Magic Cow! We're new to the area and stumbled upon this magical place. We ordered two cones and struggled to share, despite them both being so great! I'm literally almost in tears over how perfect the ice cream is and how incredibly we were treated. This is the first date of a lifelong Magic Cow ice creamlationship. We were there the other day, we were gonna try it previously but wife got the addresses confused. All good. Anyways, we went there and wife and I love cows, so it's fantastic. The ice cream is very good. I did apple spice and green/sour apple. It was great. Really enjoyed it. Just a great little hole in the wall ice cream place owned by local people. Took my elderly Dad there today (who was hungry for some ice cream) and had a really wonderful experience starting with our warm personal greeting from Andy. He was also very helpful in discussing the flavor options and made the effort to check back in with my Dad before we left to see how he liked the ice cream. Finally, the ice cream was really delicious and we will definitely return, as everything about this place was great! read more

We loved this place so much! first off the ice cream was flat out amazing the flavors were so lovely, the menu had lots to choose from. Secondly the energy given off was amazing. i really enjoyed Andy's attitude and his want to make conversation. He even went on and said my boyfriend reminded him of a band member thats from the u.k and when we looked it up that killed us!! great laughs and amazing ice cream, i recommend to all. read more

Amazing ice cream made fresh in the store daily, and they have a frozen slab so you can mix in all your toppings. The waffle cones are free! It's a family owned business and 99% of the time the owners are the ones working and serving the customers, they're so sweet, patient and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have an awesome experience at their ice cream store! Very nice ice cream shop. First, had experienced one of their birthday cakes at a family get together and the ice cream was so delicious. After finding out where the cake was from, I decided to pay a visit to their location. The owners were so kind and personable. It was quite refreshing. We had the red velvet and cinnamon ice cream. The locally owned place offers tons of daily-made, homemade flavors and a whole slew of mix-ins. They even bake the brownies in the store! They mix it on a cold stone and have homemade waffle cones. The texture of the ice cream is great, and it's our go-to spot. Andy and his wife are lovely, and they make the experience all the better with their kindness and charm. I'm from Miami but live in South Carolina and every time I visit home my one stop, or two, or even three stops has to be Magic Cow. The red velvet ice cream with pound cake and hot fudge is fabulous. Absolutely amazing chocolate with brownie!! My favorite!! I've had a few other flavors which are also excellent. This place is just delicious all around!! You can get a free waffle cone with your ice cream! The owner is super awesome and nice!!!!! He makes you feel like you've been friends for years! I'm an ice cream addict and this ice cream shop is the absolute best in all aspects. The customer service is wonderful and the ice cream is made in house and absolutely delicious. This place has the best ice cream around! Tons of amazing flavors, all made fresh, and many are very unique. The owners are fantastic; always extremely friendly! I just left this charming ice cream shop. We got amazing service and the ice cream was awesome! The kids got to mix in their favorite toppings. Big hit for us. Unique flavors kept us tasting green apple, flowers, German chocolate etc all delish! Priced so fair, we are definitely coming back read more

Literally best ice cream I've had that I don't even buy ice at stores now it's just that amazing and good prices, a lot of variety in flavors. My friend she got me addicted to there like twice a week now lol but it's so worth it. Hope you all decide to give it a try to. read more
