First time at this Apropo Crepes cafe with Italian coffee. An extremely busy cafe in the food court at the Sawgrass Mills Mall. All the other food shops are closed until 11am at which time I will grab some food, but until then I purchased a hot shot of freshly brewed coffee with a little cream and sugar - tasty for a great price of $1.75. They offer big crepes made on a flat grill right in front of you. Slightly pricey at an average $16.00 each but they look thick. Similar appearance to a fajita but different taste. read more

Often I decide to pop in to a mall and have lunch in their food court. Today, I chose Sawgrass mall and Apropo. I use to frequent this spot in dolphin mall, but since there is one closer to me on the North in I checked it out. As you all know, Sawgrass has multiple food courts. This one in particular is closest to the Target entrance. Their menu has a changed a bit adding in a few additional options. Today I had the 305 chicken, no lettuce add mushroom with a side of extra Caesar dressing. Other toppings included is tomato and chicken. You are warned before placing the order for fries and are told that they are spicy. Out of 5 I would give the spice a 2. The papas bravas fries are OVEN BAKED WITH CHEESE, JALAPENOS, GARLIC CILANTRO & BUFFALO. Amazing to say the least. All items are a la carte. What a hidden gem. Food court food typically ranges from bad to mediocre. This place far exceeds that and it's unfortunate the ratings don't reflect how good this spot is. I have been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience. Most of the food is cooked and prepared right in front of you. Everything is completely fresh and flavorful. Their portions are generous and the prices are extremely fair. What more can you ask for? Here's what I've tried - Chicken Crepe - Chicken breast, melted mozzarella cheese, chopped tomatoes, lettuce and choice of dressing. I usually ask them to add peppers and onions as well and for the dressing I choose chipotle. Warning: Very messy but worth it. This thing is crammed with chicken and it is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The flavor jumps out at you with each bite. The chipotle dressing tastes so good with this and it's not very spicy. You'd think the crepe would clash with the savory fillings but the combination is very pleasant. 5/5 ($10.99) Papas bravas are really good, they're drenched in sauces and have a few jalapeños mixed in. This is a good side but obviously indulgent and high in carbs. I've tried their chivito, mixto, and philly crepes as well and they're all very good. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this spot. The mix of flavor uniqueness, REAL food, healthy options and generous portions are hard to find. Apropo is located in the food court at sawgrass mall. This is a pretty good size walk up food place with actual bar seating. You do have the ability to watch them cook your protein. The cooktop definitely makes you feel like it's a hibachi setting. If you like a variety of many options or just too picky, this is definitely the place to check out. The bowls are humongous and you could definitely share this or take it home and eat it later. I myself cannot finish it and it's in my refrigerator as we speak ready for me to have for lunch. Sense the protein is fresh. It does take a bit for your food to cook. The ingredients are fresh and the chicken was nicely cooked right in front of me. My bowl consist of quinoa, salad, chicken, avocado, chipotle sauce, grilled veggies, cucumbers and a couple other options. Do you have an option of five toppings with your bowl. We were at the mall this Sunday afternoon and our son wanted a snack. We have previously tried this business for empanadas and even sandwich with great luck. Today they had a banner with what appeared to be loaded fries, so we ordered him some. These fries are thick cut, appear fresh, and are not fried. They are served a little squishy because they are baked. They do toss them in an over type air frier to try and make crispier however they already added the cheese and topping. They should likely air fry the potatoes first, then toppings. We did ask for a side of their garlic aioli type topping and it was wonderful. Wife said she could buy it by the gallon. Overall it was a nice experience. The food was good and slightly healthier for son. The taste and ingredients were nice and fresh. The potatoes being sold as fries just needed a little crisper outcome. Pricing is also fair here also. read more

I am fighting with myself while writing this review. Over the last few years I have eaten here maybe 40- 50 times. I really like the crepes. They are hardy, juicy, yummy, down right delicious. I also love their coffee, especially the coladas. Its an inexpensive Cuban coffee, extra sweet extra strong. In all the times I've been here, I have never had a bad crepe. The experience today was just as great. So the food is definitely a sloppy, but scrumptious 5 stars. With that being said, I need to just talk about something that took away from this last experience. Believe it or not, it was something as simple as the plastic ware, knife and fork, a single paper plate which they served my crepe on. Within the first few mouthfuls, my knife and fork bent, and my single paper plate became a wet tattered mess. Usually they at least give you 2 or 3 plates, but this time only one. I should have asked for more, but my mouth was taking no prisoners. Still, my crepe melted and dripped all over my hands and plate (the hands and fingers I licked clean). I would have licked the plate too, but unfortunately it had so many tattered holes that the counter was just as juicy as my hands. I hated to waste all that great juicy goodness. read more

I have actually tried many of the things on their menu and they do not disappoint. There is also one more location in Dolphin Mall of Apropo. They sell many kinds of coffee drinks and my favorite drink there is cafe con leche. Their coffee drinks are nice and strong. They not only sell sweet crepes but also entree crepes. My number one favorite crepe is with strawberry, banana, and Nutella. You can not go wrong with that. In the entree crepes I have tried the tuna crepe however it lacks a bit on the seasoning and was a bit dry. I rather get their tuna sandwich instead which was nicely toasted and had a nice vinaigrette sauce in it as well as mint leaves, onion, tomato etc. They also have salads as well. I have passed by here a few times as I pretty much go to sawgrass daily. I have eaten here 2x. Once I had a sandwich on a roll...today I had a wrap. I had the veggie wrap. It came with a nice array of veggies and mozzarella cheese. I was hoping it would be the same mozzarella that the caprese sandwich had but it was shredded. The sandwich is warm and since I got it to go, it was quite WATERY by the time I got to my office 5 minutes away. It was tasty, but very difficult to eat as the wrap was soaked. I also ordered a latte (cafe con leche). It was okay. A bit on the stronger side, but okay. All in all, I would try again. Service was friendly, however it was a little hard to hear between the hustle and bustle of the mall and the music they have playing in the background. I ordered a pesto chicken savory crepe. It came with crispy lettuce, onions, tomatoes and shredded colby jack cheese all folded neatly into a fluffy crisp crepe shell. My original review was removed. Not sure why it was, as i wasnt notified by Yelp as to why. We had placed an order for a Bridal Party while the ladies were having hair and makeup done. I cant recall all the issues, however I do remember 2 of the orders were missing and a few of the orders had been mis ordered and another drenched in pesto where the crepe was drowning in sauce and soggy. GROSS!!! Suffice it to say, there were several bridesmaids that attended the wedding without eating all day due to the order being thouroughly messed up. Not good!
