After 15 years of marriage to a Peruvian and time spent in Lima, I've developed a real sense of what a quality Peruvian meal is. Panguich is an excellent representation of a modern day Peruvian sandwich shop (with other Peruvian food as well). What I love about these guys in particular: they are local and family owned, they consistently ask for feedback, and they improve the menu and food quality regularly. It's clear they really care about proudly representing one of the best cuisines in the world (if you know, you know). And it's not just a sandwich shop. They also serve many of the standard Peruvian comfort dishes; lomo saltado, the bowls, legit pollo a la brasa, and a very tasty (and spicy) rocoto sauce that I legit put on everything. One note on the pollo a la brasa: if you have never had Peruvian pollo a la brasa, you are truly missing out on one of the best things the world has to offer; and Panguich actually does a better job than some places we have tried in Lima. The chicharrón sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries, red onions, and rocoto is no joke. The tamales are also legit. Pro tip: if you like the chicharrón sandwich and also want a tamal, check out the Lurín breakfast. It has everything you need, including the bread to make the sandwich, plus a tamal and café con leche. Perfect for a Saturday morning breakfast that can be shared if you grab an extra roll. Very happy to have them in "The Coop." Really, this is the kind of restaurant (and people) we need more of, not less. read more

Delicious! I finally worked up the nerve to try this spot after passing by it for months, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the lomo saltado with mason on the side, and it was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. So flavorful and satisfying. The ladies working were incredibly sweet and accommodating. My Spanish isn't the best, so I asked for an English speaker to help bridge the gap, but you can always use Google Translate if needed. I've been to this restaurant several times now. I have tried their empanadas, pan con chicharron, pan con salchicha huachana, papa Ellen's, lomo saltado and asado con pure. I recommend all mentioned. They also have jugos and coffee that are delicious! They're the closest taste to Peru in south FL. Their prices are fair to the quality of their food and amazing service. This Peruvian sandwich shop has been here for only a few years and have tried the desserts which were good. Today, I went inside and the place was clean and smelled wonderful making me more hungry. The three bowls: Lomo Saltado, Cuban and Chaufa looked awesome for a very good price of $10.50. Unfortunately, due to an extreme language barrier I could not articulate questions regarding the food menu and dessert options which were not listed on the menu. Two elderly customers were eating and chose to translate for me. Basically, it was fustrating and could not order today. I absolutely loved the food... but I realized their orange hot sauce made me use the bathroom a little more than usual that day (narrowed it down to that because hubs and I shared everything except for that one sauce). We both had sandwiches (mine was the lomo saltado and his was the pan con chicharron) and we liked it. We both also had juices, though the flavors escape me at the moment. The tables are very unstable and my mother almost flipped the entire table as she got up. This is a sandwich place, Peruvian sandwiches that is. I happened to be going to the bakery next door and I decided to walk in, on impulse. Once inside, I noticed they had empanadas. I got a meat empanada and left. I can say that if you get here when the empanadas come out, you may enjoy this pastry. For me, I got one reheated in a microwave and toasted. Delicious neighborhood lunch spot! Hubby and I had a work date there. I had the grilled chicken provolone and pineapple sandwich which was very sweet but savory as well. The pineapple was grilled which was a great addition. My husband had the lomo saltado sandwich combo. It came with a soda and fries. This was the ultimate sandwich. Amazing Hidden gem that has Peruvian . Many people came to this spot because they were at Vicky bakery first. I came here because I was looking for a Peruvian sanwhich spot. Drove 35 mins and it did not disappoint. Ordered the sachipapa delicious hotdogs and fries with two yummy dipping sauces. The Tequeno de lomo saltado was amazing. The dough is more of an egg roll meets wonton but delicious and comes with huanicana sauce alittle spicy a must try.
